They don't hold up to what they promise. They say any part covered in their contract, they will pay for and all I had to pay was a $100 deductible. That was not true. My transmission was covered, a total rebuild was required costing 3,500. They only covered 1500 of it. I had to pay the rest. Ironically, the 1500 that they covered was almost the exact amount that I paid in total since I started my contract with them in 2019.
It has been over a month without a car. Carshield is super slow at getting in contact. They say you or the mechanic has to call in. The mechanic and I have done everything from our end and the repairs were approved but we still don't have the go ahead to start the work
Won't let me register my car by the contract number. Wasn't given a customer id so I can't use that option. It's been a month since I got the warranty and have been charged twice for it. Uninstalling the app and cancelling the warranty. I believe that this is a waste of money. Not happy about this at all. If I could give 0 stars I would.
This is the worst rip off! I paid around $2000 for this and so far they have paid for 1 tow. Everything else has been denied. I was told when they repeatedly called me that they covered everything from bumper to bumper except for things like spark plugs, oil/air filters, brake pads and tires. I was told it covered the entire engine, coolant system, electrical and sensors + more. Not true! Read contract carefully before you sign. 3 pages of items not covered.dealership said they have never paid
CarShield has a huge issue getting back to the mechanic with necessary info: like whether the repair is authorized or not. My car has been at the mechanic for over a month waiting for approval on a repair that was denied. Only through calling multiple times to Carshiled telling them what THEY need to do, does anything get done. Unsatisfactory. Google Play does not see this app as existing on my phone.
As a single Mom, this policy gave me the piece of mind I needed when it paid out $1700 for an A/C issue just 4mos into the coverage... unbelievable! The rep who took the original call was very helpful and this app was super easy to navigate thru even though I'm not text savvy! Thanks Carshield!
In an update for the app. I called CarShiel concerning a vehicle that was missing from the app, they confirmed that it was in the system, then instructed me how to update. I can't speak for how good the coverage is because I haven't had a need to use it. They were helpful and attentive.
Having this coverage is like playing Russian roulette. You pay the hundreds of dollars and HOPE if you have a problem it's not within the SEVERAL pages of restrictions. I took my car twice to the BMW dealership and Carshield denied repairs, stating I had an "unauthorized" oil leak and AC refrigerant leak. Carshield was so kind 🙄and waived a monthly payment, gave me a partial refund and cancelled my contract before I paid it out. I bought a new car. DON'T DO IT!!! KEEP YOUR MONEY!! TOO RISKY!
Worst car repair insurance company on the market. Had my car in the shop for 3 weeks before they decided they wouldn't be covering repair costs. Stuck me with bill and rental car i wasnt reimbursed for.. App is extremely limited no real features to use. Customer service is a -1
The same money you giving them every month, put it in a bank account so that way when you really need to fix your car no need to file a claim and have to deal with getting the run around and you can make sure you paying for new parts not old ones. No need to deal with them excuses about what they don't cover n can't cover. Don't waste your money I lost over 400 dollars to them with no repairs done on my car
I have had this service for 2 years and everytime I try to submit a claim for service I am told that my request for said repairs are not covered. Or you call to inquire about a potential repair or look at your contract to find that a part is covered then you actually go to get the repairs they tell the repairman that the items are not covered. The warranty is a FRAUD and I should've canceled them after the first time I was turned down for repair service. Car Shield has TOTALLY RIPPED ME OFF!!!
Laaaaaaaaagging!!! Completely had zero consideration for my time and the hoops I had to go through to get my car worked on were ridiculous! The shop I had FINALLY gotten to repair it after the ASE certified search, Carshield was not attentive to my needs and in paying my repairs. My mechanic called 6 times and received no response. Now I can't get my car when it's finished and I've been sitting on hold for an hour and a half. My rental is due back today. Suffice to say CarShield was USELESS!
I got this app when I got carshield. I was in an accident and the car shield app didn't show my car, therefore I thought that I was no longer covered under car shield. This would have been a good thing as my car was totaled. I found out 10/21/2020 that funds were removed from my bank account for this policy! The company refuses to refund from 9/21 to current except for the month that is currently being removed from my bank account 10/21-11/20 so I've lost funds due to their app!
Don't get involved with this company a lot of false advertising especially in the infomercial where it says a customer was helped with $4,000 bill in the first three months they won't even let you use it in the first 3 months I'm in the auto business I deal with them unfortunately all the time
Not true to their service offering. Waste of money. Run from this company. Everybody is not approved. Customer service is horrible once they got your money. Can't get a rental until claim is approved, but if it's not approved your stuck with the bills. BBB will be notified of service not rendered! Yea it's one of those offers that are too good to be true. Trust your gut
I called them to see if we kept our leased car that was going to turned in. Lease is up and we had to make a decision if we wanted to buy it or turn it in. If we kept it then we needed Extended Coverage . I was very surprised when I heard there PRICES VERY good for everything that came with there packages. We did turned in our car and got a new Leased car. I know for sure that if we ever do keep our leased car we will be buying there Insurance just call them and can see for yourself.
Car Shield admitted a big mistake by telling me I was not covered. They had my number confused with a different name. A claim agent Jennifer Z. found the mistake. I had to purchase a new carrier Protect My Car who are extremely professional helped me with their benefits to pay for repairs that were covered by Car Shield before my repairs. This mistake cost me transmisión replacement and a transfer case replacement. When calling and getting Car Shield your information is correct and confirmed.
my experience with them is they are fakes. they do not keep their word they do not fix the vehicle they refuse to do it even though it's Parts they're supposed to be even fixing I wouldn't go back to them for nothing because they cannot treat a customer right they keep refusing to make the problem right they refused to honor anything. I even turned him into the Attorney General's office. they do false advertisements over the TV
This app is always on the fritz! There is always something hindering me from viewing my account and somehow my vehicle is always unlinked from the app. The money I'm paying you guys.....should more than cover you getting a more stable program.....smh, just awful!
I do not recommend carshield for nobody because the fact of the matter is I had cancelled my services with them and they still took a payment out and now they talking about that they can't find me in the system talking to anybody and they won't refund me my money I would go with somebody else and then on top of that they make it seem like that they will pay for everything for you they do not
I believe anyone who has left a five stars feedback hasn't really have any actual experience with this company otherwise if you honestly had to go through a claim process with them regardless of how small or big the problem is, all you had to say or leave behind is only one star with a simple but easy to understand statement of "RIP OFF!". BE AWARE, ALL YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEM WITH, IS WHAT YOU WERE TOLD OR ADVERTISED ABOUT, including but not limited to saving money and time! choice is yours.
RIP OFF !!! BEWARE they won't cover anything, give you the run around.. car been in shop for almost 2 wks now, you have to pay for your rental car up front and if they decide to cover your sevices then you will get reimbursed..HA HA the joke was on me I have to pay out of pocket for my vehicle b/c one part isn't covered on the policy. Thank God I didn't get the rental that would be covered either.
This company makes many false claims. You must keep meticulous maintenance records of your vehicle & have all on hand immediately to even be considered for claim approval. Also a rental was never given & my claim was denied. No it was not simple as one , two three as the commercial states. They promise the sky & would sell you the Brooklyn Bridge.
The app is lousy! Your commercials are annoying and not very truthful or believable! You have to have Chris Berman and Ice-T promote ylur company!? So shameful! Your commercials are on too many networks, too many hours of the day! TV shows that are scheduled for 30 minutes or 1 hour are littered with car shield, Liberty Mutual, Consumer Cellular and other annoying, musleading commercials! Stop the madness of too many commercials, too odten during programming!
What an experince with this company i too wish i did my research better i would have never given them my business. Their no good no customer service and if you have a claim its a different person if you can get ahold of one with no knowledge of what's going on all they say is let me look at my notes then transfer you to a different adjuster each time stay way from carshield you gonna wish you did.. One star is too much for these ppl i went 29 days of hell countles hours on the phone wow..
I downloaded so i could possibly rent a vehicle. In order to rent a vehicle at the location provided, you need the rewards code. Well i dont have a rewards code so i couldnt reserve a vehicle. Doesn't matter, i reserve one at a less rate than carshield would of offered.
I am a new customer, I haven't had no dealing as for any experience to know how to rate car shield, but what I do know from experience of not having a warrantee on your vehicle is that you can't go wrong with car shield.
DO NOT USE I paid $109 then started reading all the reviews. I decided to call them the next day to cancel. The guy i talked to the previous day said i had 30 days to cancel. So i canecled next day amd they didnt give my money back and the guy i was on the phone with to cancel he was not taking my no for a answer and kept insisting that i keep it amd he kept trying to drop the price lower and lower so i would keep it. Finally he said he would cancel it for me but i never got my money back.
EVERYTHING RUST: Save your money, they will not Pay on any rust up or though parts. Cheaper to save your money, pay for it yourself, 3-5 yr, monthy payments would be enough to fix your Problems anyway, I got a NOTHING for $89. a month
My word, Carshield was a terrible experience for my family and I. They did not cover my repairs when I needed them most. They were ordering a part for me, and that took 3 weeks where no progress was made until I called in. No updates, of course. Then, they offered to compensate by moving my due date and giving me a $10 discount because they knew I just paid a large repair bill. They still charged me without the reschedule or the discount, causing me an overdraft of nearly $200! STAY AWAY!
