Not a bad app. Just not happy about having to wait to use the system when parking the car. Can wait up to 10 minutes before ignition is indicated as being off. Reported this issue to insurer and cartrack. Still no response. Also why do you need to jump through two pages to activate the carwatch function?
The car watch delays to report. I tested it several times. Imagine how far the car would be if stolen. Otherwise the premiums are affordable. If the car watch response time can be improved, and the car image can also be improved, everything will be 100%.
Well, this is a bit disappointing. My car is off however car watch cannot be activated as it picks up that my car ignition is on. The application also requires you to constantly log in although stay signed in is selected. I have cleared my cache and even uninstalled the app and installed again - no difference.
I'm not a very happy client as I have been having trouble with my tracker and app and you guys just don't care about helping or even resolving the issue. I have to keep phoning and phoning as nobody is getting back to me to tell me what the problem is.. This is unacceptable as I have already lost a vehicle because of a tracker not working. Thats way I changed to Cartrack but im finding the experience just as bad.
Currently not happy with the app and the service I'm getting. I have a carwatch service and I can't enable it due to the app showing the car as active all the time, even when I access the app after 2 hours the car being switched off.
Since the day I had these things put in my cars it's been a nightmare. I wish I never came to cartrack it's the worst service ever. They messed up my screen of my land rover it had to go for repairs they gave me a manual courtesy car which I struggled to drive The other cars I put on tracker the car information on the app is wrong eg the car is silver they have it as white. I would advise people to stay away from cartrack.
The App is faulty and I reported it. The unit probably needs to re checked by a technician. I called and i was promised that they will come and have a look, but nothing so far. Nov 2021, the units are running fine. Thank you . 30 March 2021: I have called cartrack for installation of the new unit on my other car. It's a taxi. We made an appointment which cartrack did not make, they did not call to apologize but instead I get a call from a different technician making another appointment again.
App is to problematic , password keeps resetting and I don't like the fact that I can log on to multiple devices at the same time. Do better man .
App is very inconsistant. Can not always activate carguard because app shows vehicle is still active but the vehicle is shut off and locked. Please fix it. This is very frustrating.
Pity I cannot give a 0 star rating. I am standing next to my stationary car, but the app shows that it is moving at 27km/h in a street where I drove 12 hours ago. Can't wait to cancel my contract with cartrack at the end of this year. Besides this, the app shows that I have two of the same cars. One in the Eastern Cape and one in Gauteng. Pathetic. How will Cartrack recover a vehicle if their system is hatwire?
On the previous weekend i was about 40 KM away from my house and the App didn't update my exact whereabout. It showed that it is still at my place whereas i used my car to travel. I kept on refreshing but it didn't change.
Updates roughly every 20 minutes, not really an improvement above the previous best of 2-3 min. Really think I should change to another service. Email contact from menu gives no addresses. For now cannot give negative stars. My apologies, now takes 1h02min to update!
Not useful because you can lose your car without any notice, it shows that ignition is on but the car is off and that does not allow me to set carwatch.
The some nights the app i shows the ignition is on the hole night when you phone the lady in control room say ill get them to reset the app it also never happens on Monday and Tuesday night it was the same story. And I could not put car guard on so my question is what will happen if I can't put my car gaurd on because the app isn't working and they steel my car during the night I will not even know and by the next morning when I realize my car is gone my car will be cut in piece?
Instalation Feb 2022 on 2 of my work vans. In two months: 2 x units replaced on both vans. 2 x servers down when report system not working. 3 x resets from their side. SMS's not working, to show speeding, quick accelerations, etc Countless calls. R7705.28 cents for cancelation on 1 van only, so x2. Paying for non existing service, only in SA... And have to pay to get rid of them. Next, response from however, "we are very sorry about your experience bla bla bla bla bla bla... CARTRAK IS USELESS..
The app is fine and easy to use, but the carwatch thing, i can't park and wait for 20 minutes until the ignition is off to can set the carwatch on, sometimes the ignition just doesn't wanna go off and you leave the carwatch not activated.
It has been awesome to be part of the family. I learnt that, with the app one can be able to trace the movement of the vehicle in the comfort of his/her home at ease. I however would like to recommend an addition of the exact address where the car could be at a given time. To me that would even assist in preventing the misuse of the vehicle and easy access.
