Awful user interface. I have to accept terms of service every time I visit the home screen. Everything is difficult to find and even harder to click - I gave up on trying to figure out how to create a schedule. The response time between the thermostats and the app is very slow, even when you're in the same room. I recently changed my wifi network password and literally had to do a factory reset on each unit just to be able to connect it to wifi again. This needs a lot of work!!!
Worst app I have ever used. If I could give it zero stars I would. I have tried to re-connect my thermostats since all of a sudden the app stopped working. I re-installed it and when I tried to sign it, it told me my password didn't work. So when I use the "forget my password" function, it tells me that my email address is not valid. Well which one is it CASA. After spending 20 mins using trying to sign up using another email address, the app freezes, logs me out and now I'm back to square one.
The app is hard to figure out. There is no explanation to what you are looking at in the different details. The new schedule is a mistery to me. It does run the baseboard heater. Not a lot of competition in this area. However if one comes along with an easy to understand app, lookout.
App UX needs work, but the web page is better. "Smart" baseboard thermostat should have a local REST API (HA IoT class), MQTT, etc. & a way to set schedule directly on the device, like any 20$ programmable thermostat, to be able to have a smooth degradation if need be (no internet, server down, remote country side, etc.) Also temp reading was off >+2° and support helped recalibrating it, but that should be user adjustable! Great possibilities, but give the keys to the users to really be smart?
Google login doesn't work. App functionality and relay to thermostats is slow and often inaccurate according to what is displayed on the actual thermostat. Scheduling UX/UI is plain awful. Overall dissatisfied with the software and hardware from CaSA.
I cannot set an afternoon scheduler event... It doesn't matter how many times I edit the event, close the app, etc, the event keeps reverting to the AM time. That is annoying and useless as hell!
Straight up doesn't work. Every email from Casa (email verification, password reset, etc) redirects you to the Google Store App page effectively making those emails useless. Cannot connect to my Casa (this app's sole reason to exist) Done bother with this app or anything from Casa in general.
Google login does not work and statistics were lost. Customer is responsive but was not able to solve after many attempts. Willing is there but I doubt the expertise...
Garbage, rarely works and have to be on-site to troubleshoot. I threw all mine out and switched to sinope
Its getting better. No crashes! Saves my timers. Only thing wrong is I can't change the time? It's set to EST and I'm PST.
does not work on Samsung! iPhone isn't any better! Both platforms of the apps crash or don't load at all...
Still displays the wrong time on the thermostat. Pretty weak for a "smart device"
love the new app and speed of correction of issues and bug
I sent feedback directly to CaSA. In my experience they are quick to address issues. First, I like the look and feel of the new dashboard app over the previous version. Scheduler buttons are much bigger and easier to use. Having said that, after using the app for just a few minutes, this is what I saw: The "about" screen buttons are the wrong size for the text and the hit area is too small. The scheduler does not show the name of the device until you drill down, making reviewing schedules very hard. Schedules force you to have a name (even if editing an existing one from the previous app) The consumption history graph data scale does not always fit the data. The consumption history graph time scale is not adjustable and too small (imo).
