With Castie you may browse the web and stream any video or music you desire directly to your Roku device. Simply navigate to your favorite website and "tap here to play" the detected media. You may also use your local networks DLNA / Upnp or Samba folders to stream and cast media.

* SUPPORTED Roku Players: Roku TV, Roku Streaming Stick, Roku Express, Roku Premiere, Roku Ultra, Roku 2, Roku 3, Roku 4, Roku HD (2500), Roku LT (2400+2450) Player. Please make sure that firmware 5.1 or later is installed.
* NOT SUPPORTED MEDIA: Google Play movies, Netflix, Amazon Prime, HULU, HBO and other (DRM protected videos web-videos, flash, online-movies, livestreams and live-tv shows).

--> QUICK START GUIDE
1. Load Castie and give it a few moments to detect your devices and then select one. Make sure you are connected to the same local WiFi that the device you are attempting to connect to is.
2. a. Use the built-in Castie Web-Browser to find a WWW media file and press "Tap here to play" once media is detected.
2. b. Use the built-in DLNA / UPNP / SAMBA support to browse your local network to find media to play.
2. c. Use the built-in Local device support to browse your local device to find media to play.
3. After testing, consider upgrading if Castie is working for you using Settings - Premium.

Using a Samsung Galaxy 8+ and a Roku TV: Videos stay in buffering state and don't ever play. When viewing pictures, the 1st picture populates just fine, and every picture thereafter will not. The initially viewed picture just stays on the screen it's being casted to, and flickers as if ready to change, yet doesn't. Waste of time and money if you bother to go far as to try the premium version in the hopes that it'll work better than the free one.
Every once in awhile it will stop & show loading, when it does this, go back to the phone app & watch the ad it ahows. The movie will come back on. If it gets worse, clear your cache, and worse case scenario, delete the app & download again. When you figure out the little hiccups, this app is AWESOME!!!
1 Plus 6t. Latest version on Roku tv and phone/mobile device. No devices found. Galaxy Tab 4, same problem. No I'm not an idiot, yes everything is connected to the same wifi and subnet.
Downloaded on Android and Roku device, disappointed. Signed in and navigated to Facebook page with movie after all that just for app not to stream content at all. Doesn't let you mirror your screen instead gives you interface to navigate to web page or media then streams it to other device. In the end 30 mins down the drain.
Doesn't work! downloaded to phone and roku. followed the directions, found my website, starting playing the video. castie app kept saying no media to stream. plus the interface was very strange.
Detects only one Roku in my network. No option to add another via IP address. Poorly thought out development to cater for additional Roku devices on same network. Uninstalled.
I have a roku and an android device, so i was excited to open the app, however it didnt work, it only accessed my information, it said there were devices but when i clicked on them, nothing worked.
i paid for this app and i have to log in...exit...log in...exit numerous times in order to get whatever i want to play to properly play...i bought it because i didnt want to spend the money on a chromecast because i have a Roku tv but i might have to. It shouldnt be this difficult to get a movie to play from your phone to your television.........i know what Castie does and doesnt play...i have to close the app...restart my phone and then the video i want will play...i know what im trying to say
i installed the app and it worked perfect for the initial 10 min. So i decided to buy it and now that i bought it it keeps saying "please select a device first and try again" , so i keep selecting my device and nothing happens
This works great! If your having trouble put your phone by the roku and it'll work fine. Its only 4 stars because the ui is bad but it works so 🤷♀️
Works well for what I need it to do, Which is stream video files downloaded on my phone. The UI needs major improvement
Works great! Mirrored my entire phone screen AND sound in portrait and landscape mode with minimal lag. Perfect!!
Could not get this to play on the one device I wanted. I have several Rokus and it never played on the main TV room.
No my payment wasnt declined. I just forwarded my google play receipt. I wouldnt have posted I paid for something if it had. But should I cancel since those are the responses being made?
Didn't work. Followed all the serious. Then they ask you to upgrade to avoid forcing video ads.
This app considering all the ones that I have tried before this one is far anyway the more Superior one thank you guys who came up with the castee TV to Roku woo woo
App is great, could use an updated UI, doesn't quite fit with the standards for Material UI
It has been my experience with Castie to be most fufilling. I like the fact i can watch things from off my phone on the TV.
Between Ads and buffering it just won't work.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME....... ADS cannot be removed, they force you to watch ADS regardless!
Works great. I used Castie to cast movies from my phone to my tv every day. My kids love as well.
This was once a good app. Not sure what happened. I'm done wasting time on junk that don't even work.

Best app for casting twitch to my tv. I had to buy premium version but definitely worth the 3.99

its basically useless. you can do everything it does with a usb cable
The app wouldn't play Facebook videos, they were the wrong format. So I visited a different website. Twice I tried to open a link and an ad started. Even though I completely restarted the app before trying a second time I still couldn't get past the ad. There was no way to close it, no way to move past it. I finally tried a third website. I was able to start the video on the browser and it looked like it had connected, however the app on the TV just shut down. Twice. I gave up at that point.
