On surface a nice little game, decent graphics and controls. But the few towers are all pretty similar and lack some control (who to target), so the strategy becomes quickly just put out strongest towers and hope they target the correct enemies. Because of this the game quickly becomes a brute force strategy. Which in itself not terrible, but there is a lack of a mechanism to make your towers stronger, other than buying upgrades for cash, hence it is very much pay to win. Now you can replay missions for upgrade cards, but one lacks the gold to use them. There is an ad option to get gold or diamonds for upgrades, but it only seems to work about 10% of the time. The heroes are a good addition to the game, but again one ends up using the same ones over and over again. Lack of strategy and relying on just making them stronger, which falls back into pay to play mechanic. So if you are confortable paying to advance a bit in the game, and then hitting a wall in which you need to do it again and again, then this is a great game.

Nice visuals and audio are necessary for a great game and this one has good polish in terms of music, sfx, and visuals. The gameplay, however, is abysmal because controllable units are unresponsive and it's hard to select them. It's especially frustrating when enemies come seemingly out of nowhere because the game doesn't start you out seeing the entire map. Even though it should be a given, since the map is literally half of the game. The worst part is the lootbox randomized tower upgrades.

Too bad this received an "Editors' Choice"!!! I installed it because of that recommendation and it was a waste of time! Impossible to upgrade characters and towers beyond the first few levels without purchasing gems! Now I don't mind spending a bit if I enjoy the game, but I suspect even if you do you will still be unable upgrade enough to advance. Not wasting any more time, uninstalling it!

This game starts out really good, but quickly becomes impossible to play without spending lots of money. I've had it just over a week and only played occasionally and am already stuck. The levels quickly become too hard and require upgrades that will require a lot of level grinding to get the cards for upgrades or a lot of money. It's not hard to get new heroes, but they are useless, because they are weak. The only way to make them useable in reasonable time is spending money

Probably the best game I've ever played on android. No annoying ads being thrown in your face. Excellent graphics and gameplay. I never give 5 stars but this game deserves it. -- EDIT -- So I've finally hit the coin issue that other reviews have talked about. I'm at a point now where I can't update anything because I am making no coin. So 1 star removed. A shame because this really is a good game. Also... I could be wrong but it seems that enemies scale to your level.

Loved it until I logged in and it had deleted my linked-to-Facebook data. Log out, back in, still at the tutorial. Was all the way to level 80+, lol. I'm not sure how common this is, but I doubt it's frequent. I may just be unlucky... However, I don't like restarting when it wasn't complete, so that's the last I'll play. 2 stars for personal experiences, it'd be 5 otherwise.

Could be amazing, if it weren't one of the worst pay to play games I've ever seen! I actually got suckered into putting 20 bucks into it, and I still can't even begin to beat the higher levels after months of play. There is no farming of defeated levels to make money to upgrade, thereby forcing you to pay real money to be able to compete on the upper levels. Dont waste your time!

absolutely ridiculous! gets you hooked in the beginning until at some point around halfway through the game it becomes completely impossible to continue without paying. But it's not enough to spend a few $. The gold amount needed to upgrade all towers is so ridiculously high, you would have to spend hundreds or even a few thousand of $ to be able to complete it. This game is clearly designed as a rip-off. I uninstalled the game immediately after realising this.

game is actually great, until level 38 then you suddenly find yourself unable to progress and zero ways to gain coin (which is how you upgrade your towers/characters). I dont mind throwing some money at a game, but coin required at this level is huge, meaning you would need to spend hundreds to keep moving up. Ad watching gives so little and is near impossible to get coin causing a deep flaw.

Pat. H. Apr 7, 2019

Just one of the thousands of generic games which is intentionally (I'm sure) impossible to beat without shelling out cash for upgrades. So damn sick of this, Is it not enough that you have to watch ads in game as well? I've been waiting for years for someone to create a legitimately challenging and thoughtful strategy game that doesn't ask for your hard earned dollars to have an enjoyable experience, and this game is as far from it as it could be. Absolutely deplorable.

What's with the game asking me to spend $9.99 on a level 11, but the confirmation says level 6? Fun tower defense, one of the better, non-grid based games. Ads are non intrusive, though recently, I'll watch an entire ad and following that ad, another ad briefly pops up and then displays that it failed; leaving no bonus rewards.

One of the best tower games I've played it's very challenging and keeps updating new creatures and boards with different difficulty you don't need money to keep playing either so it's fun with or without money! Also try Alien creeps.

Loved this game at the start. I played it nonstop for weeks. However, after level 43, the difficulty level inexplicably skyrockets. I have invested so much time in this game to get to this point, now not even Internet searches and game guides help. Sadly uninstalled - it is nigh on impossible to progress any further. Sorry to see this game go but I'm at a total loss as to how to move on.

Awesome Gameplay. Plenty of unlockables. Free stuff for watching ads. Great storyline. Tutorial is optional. Heroes level up. Missions/challenges/acheivements/events AND you can back up your saved data... THIS GAME HAS IT ALL! It's the 2nd best TD Game I've EVER played, the first being a game from waaay before apps that I can no longer find (GemCraft). If you're looking for a progressive and addicting Tower Defense game, I highly recommend trying this one.

so I have been playing this game for about 5 months now. I really started to enjoy it the first month or so. over time the new levels, it comes incredibly difficult. granted this is a pay-to-play game the more you pay the more you play and win. I've been stuck on level 89 for about 9 days. I tirelessly play everyday, but it's almost impossible without spending money in this game which I refuse to do. Over all the it's a nice game, just don't expect to beat the whole game without paying money.

Graphics is very good. But 1. The speed of the enemies are too fast on the Medium level. Slow it down or try to increase the speed of how the towers blast atleast. 2. Armors of the enemies are very thick already even if you are just currently on wave 2 and alot more to to upgrade. Lower the upgrade rate so that we can alteast match the enemies armor or speed. 3. If 1 and 2 are not doable, remove Stalker's arrow and increase the DAMAGE and SKIN of Level 2 Heroes Lance and Stonelord atleast.

St. I. Jul 23, 2021

Not enough room to list all of the issues; the mandatory tutorial is painfully long; grinding is slow with random rewards that often are worthless; the difficulty rating system is only based in total upgrades, not relevant upgrades; and the hero AI (which enemy to target) is the worst, almost bad enough to look like manipulative sabotage. Why even have them? Enemies with 5% health just walk right past, even when using the hero's active skill, because a weaker enemy is targeted.

No offense it's like SUPERCELL created this game because of it's style. Jokes aside. I really loved the game and how easy for it play and story is really put you on the game, I really wanted to have more features and modes on the game like endless waves and local multi-player. It's turns me off whenever I have to go online and see it because your description said that it's offline. I really love the game but please make it happen.

The updated version of castle creeps was amazing! however, many does not seem to like game because of lack of gold to upgrade the towers as well as the heroes. As for me, playing tower defense games like this put you to critical thinking on how tower should be placed specially the perfect position of reinforcement troops. Even if i failed in the first every level, my mind adjust to what should be done and look for better tactics. The challenge of using plasma beam in minimum makes more exciting

Fantastically challenging TD game that requires players to endlessly grind to upgrade or spend literally hundreds of pounds to upgrade instantaneously. Despite this, it is probably my favourite game at the moment. So why 3 stars? Simply due to the greed of the developers who make games like this.

Mik. S. Jun 15, 2020

Unfortunately the "gold problem" mentioned by others is absolutely true. Thus, prepare yourself for a VERY LONG play. I've done the last level buying a single package during all these months. Be very careful with spending your gold! Do not upgrade all heroes, choose 2 or 3. Do not upgrade both lines for cannons (stick to the ground one). Do not upgrade both magic tower lines (avoid the slowing line). Same to barracs. The game itself is nice, nothing to complain. One of the best TD games.

Ney. P. Aug 23, 2019

Its super fun. Amazing and addictive. The graphics are good though its offline. I just want an improvement with the coins claimed evry battle. It's so hard to have bigger amount of coins because the battlesare giving on 3000 and the upgrades costs so high. And if I want to battle again with the recent battles with three stars already, there's no more coins given. I was getting poor when hard battles came.

Ben. P. Dec 20, 2018

I would have given this 5 stars as the game itself is really good. I love the art style, the story and the quests. I also love that ads are an optional way to get extra stuff. The reason I've given it 2 stars, (I considered 1 but decided against it) is because when I turned it on this morning all my progress was gone and the support button in-game didn't work... I refuse to do all that work again. If there was a way to get my progress back I would gladly carry on playing.

The game graphics, system and music is good. Everything is fine except the difficulty. Advancing with the basic heroes given will be tough. Basically a pay to win game because the trial sorcerer hero is tankier than my meele hero and her damage is ridiculously high but it cost RM44. Thumbs up for the graphics but down for the difficulty. Unless you pay more or you open the chest to get cards everyday/6hrs. (I recommend utilizing the whole one hours when a trial hero is available, then you 'should be able' play smoothly without paying.)

A fun week of play - The game is fun, but you'll top out quickly unless you're ready to pay. Normally I like to support the games I enjoy, but the cost to continue was a bit too high in my mind, and the difficulty curve appears to support paying quite a bit over time. If you get enough enjoyment out of it, it might be worth the $, but for me, this didn't quite hit the mark for me. Good for a week's worth of play though.

I really like this game a lot especially the graphics. Two things I hope they will add for the next versions are 1) tournament - i like the thing that this game will have a tournament for more other players interaction; 2) and please add some resources that can be shared with friends(not just the power for tesla, but also gems or coins).

Been enjoying the game so far, just wish the aggro range of your melee units matched with the dark elves and assassins didn't throw smokebombs at towers while they were being attacked by melee units. Ranged heros are less microheavy but I have to micromanage all the melee units which annoys me a lot. The download content for event popup also bothered me a bit because it just redirected me to the playstore page but seems to be working fine now.
