75% of the links don't work, so you have to jump through hoops to even do the "benefits". You have to chase down every single reward point that they offer you. Nothing comes easy on this app. Customer service is mediocre at best.
The app has not been working great for anyone at my work including myself. Keeps loading at times and says it's unable to load.
Aside from technical problems, the app seems to work really well, but a very high percentage of the time (well over half, I'd say at least 4 out of 5 times) after entering my credentials, the app gives a "There was a problem connecting to the server" error. I fall back to using the mobile web page, but the mobile web page can't connect to the fitbit app, so I am unable to enter my steps in a timely manner. If I uninstall and reinstall, it will connect - so I know it's not me, it's not my password, it's the app. It may have something to do with adding my phone as a secure device so that I don't have to keep entering security codes that it otherwise texts to your phone, but that would be just as annoying. (Samsung S7 Edge, Android 8.0.0)
It doesn't accurately sync to total brain. I've missed at least a month's worth of points because it will count my activity towards the next day instead of the day I actually competed the activity. I have to reach out to support every time I do a brain assessment because it doesn't record it on its own. I also don't have the ability to manually capture steps anymore (my steps don't always sync properly either). I could for about a week, but now the button doesn't even appear.
Can only log in one time, after that it always gives an error message saying it can't connect to the server and I have to reinstall the app to fix it. Details of rewards like claim codes for gift cards are sent via email in addition to being shown in the app. Email is NOT NECESSARILY SECURE and should not be used to send sensitive information like this but there is no way to disable it. App performance is slow and the data displayed is often inaccurate until multiple refreshes are done.
Never even opens. I have tried to use it for several months, but I can't even get through to the login screen. The splash screen just has a bunch of letters scattered everywhere. I'm using a Google Pixel 2 and everything else on my phone works perfectly. Unbelievable how it STILL doesn't work even after writing to their customer service.
I had a store credit. When I tried to use it and make a purchase I was told my bank card was invalid. Then the store just vanished from the app. Recently, the rewards center stopped loading. Funny that as the end of the year approaches and my rewards are actually in a place of use themor lose them, I can't access that part of the app. Castlight is a waste of time. DO BETTER!
The app will not open so I can sync my steps. I chatted with support and they blamed my phone, said I did not have the updated version. I uninstalled, then reinstalled and I received the same server error. I contacted support again and was told to try later. Fix it! I need the app for the fitness challenge. My teammates are experiencing the same problem.
I have now had to uninstall and reinstall this app 5 times. I am on my second download today. I keep getting an error message that it can't connect to the server. Uninstall the download and go through all the steps to log in again and it will work until it times out, or I fall asleep, or someone sneezes. At this point your guess is as good as mine. Completely annoying and making the event almost impossible for some teammates who don't know to try the reinstall. Tech support chat is a joke too.
I find it hard to navigate when i am looking for anything specific.
It is impossible to register, for "date of birth" it gives you a choice of month, a bunch of 20's and 19's without the last 2 digits visible, which i was able to count down with some difficulty, as it continuously tries to scroll the whole time, but then it offers no way to choose the day, it's just on 08, so if you were born on the 8th day of the month, great, you'll love it, otherwise it's worthless
App won't retain setting to use biometric sign on. App has all permissions allowed, I enable the biometrics in settings, sign out and it doesn't use the biometrics, settings show then disabled again.
App doesn't give me credit for all my steps & I miss out on a lot of points. As matter of fact, it doesn't count properly most of the time. At 11:00 PM I had 5,000+ steps for the next day & hadn't recieved all my points for the 10,000 that I done the current day. What's the deal with that?!! I've done some of the surveys that are supposed to give you points for doing them & have recieved none. This app is very frustrating & is becomming a downer as apposed to a positive push to be healthier.
It's OK. Just wish my job didn't make it were your points are useless. Example: the biggest points we earn are at the end of the year. Our spending limit starts over in January. After the first year, you can't really get anything but sweepstakes which you NEVER win. Shoulda set it up where it reset in August or September. Waste of time.
Garbage app with terrible UX that errors constantly. The store's return policy is basically non-existant so don't order anything you aren't 100% sure you want. They need the item back 30 days after purchase date (including shipping time). So unless you want to overnight it the day after you receive it you probably aren't getting a refund. Customer supports emails get flagged as spam and are deleted by our company and once you get through they just copy and paste their unclear policy.
Worked well at first.. Started using it more frequently as of 6/1 for a work fitness challenge. I log in fine, times out, won't let me log back in stating a connection error. Uninstall, reinstall, let's me log in then the same again. As of 6/12, worse app I've ever used. Impossible to log in, works for a while and then Impossible. 😡 -0 score
My tracker will say 9,10, even 12k steps and caught will only show about 8k at most. Sent email, never heard back. Contacted chat, they want personal info, to help assess why there tracker doesn't work right. With constant updates this shouldn't be a problem. Give me the best user experience? Don't do constant updates for the sake of updates. If it works then stop changing it.
Totally useless, and their website and customer support is worse. I don't even have the time to get into every annoyance. They deleted my data after my coverage with a particular health plan ended. Will never willingly use again. EDIT: If I could reduce the number of stars in my review, I would, because of the tone-deaf response to this review, asking me to do the thing I complained about (contacting customer support). Real customer service would have been their looking up my previous correspondence and making things right.
Very easy to use. Gives a lot of health information. Second year using app. I have all my doctor's in one app so I don't have to remember their names trying to look them up in my phone contact list.
