The one thing that has actually worked on my mediabox. However, I bought it premium, and it still kept asking me to pay on my TV. I paid on my phone, and there it properly shows the premium version, but my TV uses the same account, and there the upgrade wasn't displaying properly until I uninstalled and reinstalled.

I've tested more than 15 apps. This app is the only one to have stable connection without those unnecessary settings. Thanks for good product. NOTE: I've noticed that the videos are not smooth to compare to Miracast connection. It seems like frame rate is too low, I can see even the freezes between the frames. Please fix if possible.

Brilliant app. 5 Stars on concept alone. This will basically turn your old phone with a 3.5mm headphone jack into a (now discontinued) Chrome cast Audio device. Keeping old devices usable is good for the environment (and my wallet). It is a little quirky overall (be sure to stop casting from an individual app when switching to a new one) and it can't be added to Google Home Speaker Groups which is not a a big deal at all. While playing audio the screen cannot be 'manually' powered off- however as long as the CastReviever app is running it will power the screen on automatically upon connection and then the screen will power off on its own with music still playing. Tested on a old device running Android 4.0 as well as one running Android 7.0. I couldn't get Sticher to cast on any device which is a bit of a bummer but I can confirm the Google Play Music app, the YouTube Music app and even the Amazon Music app all work just fine. You can even pause the playback on the Receiving phone with the Chromecast controls built into newer versions of Android and control the volume. You won't be able to control the casted media's volume from the casting phone however. The app is also great for House Guests and Parties: while there is no there is no "Guest Mode PIN" function while the Receiver phone was on my Guest WiFi my guests also on that Network could cast to it. In a way a phone with several audio apps and this app is better than a typical Chromcast Audio as users that don't have WiFi access (or don't have a phone) can use the Receiver phone "console" style to skip songs from the lockscreen from music apps like normal. Bought the premium version to help support the development of the app.

I would rate this app higher, as it seems to do what it advertises, but even after purchasing the premium version and side loading it onto the firestick, it only puts the trial version onto the firestick, which cuts out the connection after only a few minutes. I can find no way to upgrade the app on the fire stick.

Big thanks to the developer, I like it, simple interface, does what it says. AirScreen was just killing me with ADS! Sure, it's not that rich in functionality, but that's all I need and it does it well. I paid for the Pro version and I only use it for on a cheap Android TV box, DLNA is something I use occasionally, got no need for AirPlay. Casting from Chrome (tab, desktop) also works fine! I had troubles running the app on another device, I can't believe how helpful the guys were resolving the issue! Go PRO, it's worth it!

This is the only app I have found that does what I want. It works well for YouTube would love to see Netflix and volume control integration. It's a great start but still a lot more needs to be done before it's really a finished app. I just got the paid version to help support the development and am hoping to see more improvements in the future.

Looks promising at the first sight, YouTube works (minus the volume control!), but then i've tried Spotify, which keeps "connecting", and "Netflix", which keeps "loading" on the receiver side, then Amazon Prime, which loads just fine, but errors out when trying to actually start playing... and then i've read the note about YouTube not supposed to be working either??? With all those popular services being design/device limitation, whats the point of this app?

This is by far the best casting app available in the Playstore. I have tried several screen mirroring app, but all of them have serious problems with latency. I have broken my 1st gen chromecast, and this is the perfect alternative to convert my chrome os box into chromecast. Great work!

This application is awesome! It is perfect for getting casting to work under the LineageOS port of Android TV. If you don't already know, LineageOS port of Android TV which makes it to where you can run Android TV on any device. Google disabled the casting feature on non-official Android TV devices, and that was a major gripe. With side loading the apk of this app on the Android TV, It works amazing! I recommend you buy the premium version of it; it is totally worth it!

Does what i expect it to do. Awesome app with little clutter, turns my tv box to a good chromecast receiver. 4* because some apps dont work (spotify for example) , and it could have better performance. Definitely has potential , keep up the good work!

I looked everywhere for an app that does exactly what this does. I have an Oculus Quest that when I cast to certain brand phones or tablets the video feed freezes at 5 - 7 seconds of starting and doesnt come back! With this app, the phone/tablet appears as a Chromecast device on the Oculus Quest and streams flawlessly.

Perfect, My favorite way of streaming is from websites on my Win 10 laptop using ReaDebrid casting to my TV via Chromecast. MY Physical Chromcast kept disconnecting from my wifi and I had to reboot my wifi to get it back so I started to looking for a way to cast to my Android TV box, I first tried an expensive app that wants a monthly fee and it was terrible, But then I tried Cast Receiver and it has worked perfectly at a bargain price.

Doesn't work at all. Downloaded the app and tried casting to my Chromebase. There was activity, but nothing appeared on the screen then the app closed. Thinking this was due to it being the free version, I decided to install the premium version. I mean I can always request a refund, right? Wrong. Not able to request a refund, and am now out $3.99 with nothing to show for it.

In my case, using only for Google Assistant TTS projects it works great. Just some recommandations/features: 1) run in the background, without the audio player popup 2) temporarily mute/pause other players which run in the background, like spotify for ex. (right now GA TTS will be played together with other running audio sources, unfortunately GA TTS volume is much lower and can not be heard).

I'm using Castreceiver on my EKO 4k 65" Android TV did the trial a few times while using Miracast on my Samsung Tablet and several times worked very well sound and Picture. I then decided to purchase a licence thinking can get to use it like did on the trial. Well worked one day next day get picture no sound at all. Cleared the cache on the Castreceiver app also deleted and reinstall it made no difference still no sound. What can be done to resolve this if anyone actually reads these comments.

installed on polaroid smart TV. Tried casting from 3 different devices, all casted the YouTube title on a black screen. All specs on all devices are above min. req. I so wanted it to work, it just doesn't work.

Connects easily and works almost as well as a chromecast device, but there is no audio synchronization and it is hard to watch anything using this software, with the audio getting far out of time with the video.

Perfectly receives cast stream from desktop chrome browser! Very convenient. It's a trial version which supports 5 minute playing only, you need to pay for full version.

I purchased the application and I am happy with it. However when you try to install it to another device you might get: Error: Application Already Purchased Uninstalling and installing it solves the problem. It would be nice if the application handled this error

Volume not controllable. I am unable to turn the volume up or down only turn the volume off. This is very annoying if I am going to use this on a non smart speaker.

Works great in landscape mode when both devices are on same the WIFI. Bought the premium version. Wish that it can also zoom full screen when both devices are in portrate mode.

Pleasant experience overall using this app in lieu of the actual chromecast for Youtube. Only thing missing is to get Facebook Videos casting to work. If dev can make this happen I'd gladly pay for the upgrade.

Works great for screen sharing to devices that are not meant for screen sharing! Keep up the good work!! I definitely recommend this app if you need a app to screen share to another laptop or tablet

fix the volume control, I can't control the volume. Please start the app always in maximum brightness. Please add Spotify. Please fix Netflix.

Awsome app! Lets me use my Moto Z2 with the attached projector Moto-Mod as if it was a projector connected to my windoze laptop. So if I go to a meeting to present a presentation on my laptop and there is no projector in yhe room, I can just pull out my phone, start the app, turn on the moto-mod projector, cast my laptop to my phone, and my phone projects it to the wall! Works like a charm, many thanks to the developer!
