Was OK until 2.1.7 update. Now it's a pile of garbage. Cats 6 feet from me, bounces to 211, then 30, then out of range. Luckily I had another phone with version 2.1.3 and it worked ok again. I tried the app on 4 different devices, 2 old version and 2 the latest. "Enhancements for ranging data" did not work. **** Follow up, these guys are pretty awesome. Reached out and worked with me personally to troubleshoot and recognize the issue. Worked fast to push out an update! ****
This device is really perfect for me and my cat. We live at 9,000 feet on a mountain and cell service is in and out. Bluetooth won't tell me exactly where he is like gps, but Bluetooth is always available. Cat Tailer alerts me when he goes out of range and when he comes back. CT has saved my cat MANY times from nocturnal predators by helping me locate him! It takes a bit of time sometimes, but I walk to different locations and the closer my cat gets, the faster the device beeps. Love it!
Could never find my cat until I got the cat tailer. It does not tell you exactly where he is but after you learn to read it and work with it you can find him. It will put you within several feet of where he is. Cats return to their same places most all the time and you will learn this with the Cat Tailer. When you're walking along and you notice and your Cat Tailer says you are getting further away, you just turn around and start checking the other direction. I just love it.
The app used to work great but after the two lastest updates, it seems to get stuck at 4 feet distance a lot when my cat is hundreds of feet away and it takes a lot longer to pinpoint my cat's distance. It also no longer self updates the distance. Wish I never updated the app from the original version
This used to give us a very reliable idea of where to find our little wild child kitten. but the developers keep messing with the distance readings! as of the lastest update, its just a completely random number. why take a good tool and make it useless? Please, developers, quit messing around with a good thing. let us figure out how to use this with our cat, and stop making these confusing tweaks to the way you show the distance.
Love the app, would love it better if the "remove tailer" option worked better. I got a new device and although I selected to remove the old one, it still appears on my screen. Not a problem, I would just like to see only the devices that are working.
Product decent, App not so much. The app was working fine for the first couple days. Now it's so glitchy. My cat is right next to me and the app says he is out of range. I'm constantly getting notifications saying he's in and out of range and he is currently in my home... it worries me that it will not work properly when I truly need to go searching for him.
I love this gadget. I have 2. It does take a while to learn how to triangulate the signal as there is a lag. But it has been able to locate my wayward cat. It was able to find a collar that had come off under a shed. Patience is needed with this gizmo but it is worth every penny. P.S. The range is a great deal farther than they advertize.
This as helped us find our cat a few times. The distance measurements aren't always very accurate, but you can use it like the hot-cold searching game and find them.
Product works as described. Responsive developer. Has one quirk that'll probably be sorted out. The location permission is required by Google for functionality and the app has not once tried to connect to the internet
It works..my cat got caught on a blackberry bush and with the breakaway leash that I put on him he didn't choke to death. The next day I couldn't find his collar. So I used my Cat Tracker and found it out in the yard to the one foot increment. It was helpful and retrieving the device. Thanks Cat tracker
Works well except innacurate distance. It fluctuates distance even with stationary cat. Usually distance is much further than reality by about 4-5 meters
Wonderful app! I have 3 indoor outdoor cats. They are almost always close to home. With this app I can check on them and make sure they are nearby. It gives me a lot of Peace of Mind.
It works quite well. It is not gps, but we are able to track down our little furry baby. It was worth the money. Walls/building are a problem but walk around them.
Nice tracker to know cat is nearby. The only thing is it says 100 meters but it's only 60 meters until out of range Wish it was the real amount

It doesn't have the map in this app program, wich could be much helpful, where is my cat located what corner of the biulding or street! :(((
This tracker for my cat has been AWESOME. I'm so glad I bought it. It alerts me when he is close by and when he goes out of range.
Cat trailer really works and it's all I needed to let my two young cats explore the great outdoors.
Does a fair job, although sometimes distance will jump due to barriers giving an innacurate reading. Directional sensing would be nice
Its okay. Doesn't go further than 140 feet. The persistent warning box is super annoying.
I've had this on my 2 cats for 4 hours now and it's already come in handy. I lost my kitten in our house and the cat tailer led me to within 2 feet of him. I could have tripped over him it was so close. One thing is that it seems to be off about 2 feet. The cat was 2 feet from me and the trailer said Iwas still 4 feet. But if you read the details on the website it says that they are not a tape measure. Thats ok with me because I found the kitten even in the house with it being close enough.
Although the device has a limited range, it will help locate a missing pet wearing the device.
Not as accurate and as functional as I was led to believe. But it does work to a point and is better than nothing.

It says this product can track for up to 100m, but after 50m it will say out of range.
It's easy to find my cats or their commonly missing collars(ᵔᴥᵔ)
Works as others describe. My cat roams the neighborhood and it has helped locate him. Range can be an issue though depending on obstructions and if the cat is facing you or not. Also, a distant neighbor brought him into their house and they were able to contact Cat Tailers and put them in touch with us. A nice bonus, but I wouldn't expect this as a regular service.
