There are too many issues on this app. While riding, mirror mode measurement is working fine, the moment when I stopped for some time, speed/cadence sensor and computer turn it off, when turn it back on, both computer and sensors unable to resume the connection with my samsung S10 phone. It only able to work when I re-launch the app again, rotate the pedal, turn on my computer, wait for a min then I able to connect. As such, this causes the route unable to be traced exactly where I rode as well.
The app crashes since the update to Android 9 . I think when you sell device at those price it is a minimum that I should be able to use it . Since it is the only way to connect it . They should update the app as fast as possible . Disappointed . But had to agree that it was working fine before.
Could be the worst-written app I've ever come across. Super slow responses, the manual app is cryptic, it tells me to set settings that aren't visible. Cateye - hire some real software people, OK?
Bought the Padrone Digital to use with my DuoTrap S. Connects flawlessly to the sensors, but i bought the digital for the smartphone functionality. Nokia 6 running Android 9 fails to pair at all. The app can see the Padrone, but cannot finish the pairing sequence. Disappointing for an otherwise computer.
Poor. Bought the cateye padrone smart plus. Downloaded atlas but app just constantly crashes when I try to connect to device. Can't alter the display screen update firmware or use mirror mode as cannot hold the connection as it just crashes. Poor poor very poor. Online info is no help. Turn Bluetooth onoff restart device rubbish app. Android 8 Oreo Bluetooth 4 user.
The app was very good but after a year or so it would not open. I have uninstalled it several times. Then reinstalled and it continues to be a problem. I will switch to Strava tomorrow. If I can't use Cat Eye by next week, I will uninstall it for the final time.
Does not work in mirror mode with Padrone Smart when cadence and speed sensors are connected. Keeps dropping signal between computer and phone. App needs to be able to work with Android and offer a firmware update option for Cateye Smart users. Very poor package.
Not the best UX experience, but It logs, and exports, and handles the smart+ computer and a asc-12 sensor as expected, and on a Pixel3. Please add an upload option to a custom url, so I can upload each trip to myself.
Frequently crashes while on a ride or the opposite, just won't exit when the ride is over. The sole fact that it was updated more than half a year ago tells everything. I don't think I will ever buy anything from Cateye again.
Worked OK but is now crashing on my Pixel 2 after an OS update to 9, and an app update since. If you are going to lock things down with a proprietary app, at least support it well!
Decent, it keeps improving and it's way better than the first version i used and everytime has fewer bugs, cateye cyclocomputer and sensors are a good budget option to sync data with Strava
The application and cateye Padrone Smart + is a trash. The computer does not connect to the apps, the apps has not been updated for a decade, it looks terrible
Review changed. After the last update, we get a better response of the sensors, the phone now is always connected. I was getting bad readings by the HR sensor that somehow got damaged.
Needs an overhaul for the visually impaired. Fonts too small. Some contrast challenging.
Poor padone design overlooks whether screen can be seen or not hardly visible plan wrestle with battery compartment and no flexible sensor compatibility. Website useless.
Often slow to connect to head unit. Would be improved by syncing to Google maps for navigation.
Santa's bringing a Padrone Smart+ but I notice that Cateye Cycling won't work on Android Pie (9) and I've just got a new phone. I want to be able to use mirror mode. Come on Cateye
Keeps crashing.. worked (badly) before, but now crashes as soon as it is opened..
Installed on pixel but the app won't launch. Just keeps stopping. Totally useless.
The app always automatically closed and my ride/ data( HR or cadence) couldn't be recorded.please fix this bug
It keeps freezing. Tried reinstalling, nothing. Was shaky to begin with.
Summary: this app is the only app that syncs with Cateye's smart computers. And it doesn't do it very well. If you like Strava and syncing your trip/stats to your mobile and other services, DON'T BUY AN CATEYE! I recently bought a Cateye Strada Smart that sync to this app (and only this app). The app has a horrible design which I can live with. It crashes frequently, but after a while you figure out when (for example when you push android back button instead of using the back-arrow in the app). But after upgrading to Android Pie is crashes constantly at startup. Tried reinstalling but same same. Contacting support just left me with an somewhat arrogant "sorry, you device is not supported". To me it's quite unbelievable they don't put any more resources into this app (or preferably a rewrite of it). Strava and analysing trips stats is a must these days. Garmin gets it.
