I love the apps n give 5 stars if ... 1. I find the bar code in the apps cannot be scan to collect the movie tix. I got to get to my email to get the code which is able to. this is weird. 2. if we could scan the code on the apps for entering instead of printing it out. 3. if u could remember my card details instead of me pulling out my card n enter it everytime I make a purchase.
app closed by itself after entering masterpass code. it seems like the payment did not complete (will have to wait and see), there was no booking found in the app. went back to check the time slot, the seats was taken. have to choose other seats and purchase by pc as i was afraid the same thing will happen and seats being taken. disappointed with this app.
Easy to use. Would be preferred if there is an e-ticket (the barcode only allows u to go to a machine on-site to collect the ticket. It is not the ticket). Pls indicate in the app that the barcode is not an e-ticket so that movie goers can cater extra time to collect the ticket at the box office
I was cheated $10 for the 1 for 1 promo. And thats only one reason this app should not exist. The payment methods are limited to only MasterPass, which i had not intention of applying for before using this app. After payment, the app booked for me a seat which i did not ask for. The seat given to me not only had the wrong date, it got the wrong cinema as well. The website still works better since the website would ask for confirmation of my seats. TLDR: This is a trash app.
U have to create master pass beforehand. But that's not the worst part. When the payment does not go through, it ERRONEOUSLY indicates those seats as occupied on the booking system. I can't even pick those seats again when doing it online (vs app)
Used to work well. Now always failed at the checkout /payment screen. Reinstall apps, still same problem. Manage to book via website instead.
Used to work just fine, now it is stuck on the loading page and won't load anything on my s20 ultra. Please do smtg about it fast, thanks!
Bought vouchers & booked tickets via this app. But page hung when the payment was processing after i key in the 1time OTP from the bank! Need to close the app illegally after 5 mins when still not moving. Was already charged booking fee when i check my bank. Hope no issues when redeeming the tickets. -_- Can u add google pay for us to make payment? Entering all these credit card # and OTP manually then the page not loading properly will cause us to worry if our card details will be leak.
After the payment was made, the app told me the payment is deducted successfully but there is an error between the payment system and the cinema. It advised me to call the cinema for a refund. But there is no phone number on Cathay website. Is this a legitimate app?
Worst app ever!! Its true what others are feedback on the app itself. Payment via masterpass didnt work at all!! Kept failing & mind you, people have been complaining since june 2018 & yet cathay is not doing anything to improvise its app. So much for customer satisfaction. Definitely taking patrons patience for granted. No efficiency at all.
Lousy app! Slow and payment cannot be done. Giving free vouchers but not sincere in providing it. Selling tickets but cannot purchase at payment counter. Will give zero stars if have option
Ridiculous app. Was given 1 for 1 voucher but after that nowhere insight in the app after a day and can't even have the option to log in. Disappointing. Won't be using this app anymore.
Great way to book tickets but the system still has lots of room for improvement, especially for the booking system with some minor bugs.
The payment via masterpass doesn't work. Basically coming up with a promo to entice people to download the app but the app doesn't work.
Really bad app. no way to check whether your transaction has been successfully made or not, app automatically closed upon confirmation. i would like to give 0 stars.
Such a nice place, neat and tidy! But they don't sell some foods like what Golden village has. But, overall i enjoyed the movie at the Cathay. To be honest, i prefer Cathay more than Golden village. 😆👍
Kind of defeats the purpose of having an app if I still have to go to the counter to buy because IT ONLY ACCEPTS MASTERCARD. Don't bother to download it unless you have a MasterCard.
Horrible system. No confirmation of accepted or cancelled transaction. No warning for pending ones. I double booked because I thought my transaction didnt go through.
Forced to use an app instead of website booking, presumably just to mine data. Reservation system gives no opportunity to review purchase before confirmation. Once booked, layout of information to check booking is poor.
Poor user experience! Not well thought thru. Suspect developer did not test thoroughly. No user acceptance test. Cannot Login to see my booking. Went to the cinema, true enough, our booking is none existence. Wasted our trip.
this app should get 0 stars, it crashes all the time when trying to sign up for masterpass, worst is my chosen seats remains "booked" on the app and online even when payment have not gone through.
DB Exception Error Kinda seemed like this app doesnt really deserves such high ratings as critical reviews consist of transaction issues, which is crucial for such applications. Please also check on why am I not able to sign up as a member on this app even tho I've keyed in all fields required.
I had been tried for many time, payment unsuccessful, even using masterpass also failed, dislike the app. End up still need purchase online.
Poor user experience. Can't find promos, can't add information to card wallet, can't edit user details, can't look at F&B options.
does not accept other payment system. only master pass which i do not have. in the end, have to book thru website. so uninstalled.
System is down since last week Monday and no one is on it. Bugs not fix. As usual, Cathay never have any sense of urgency.
Smooth, seamless experience from booking a movie to selecting seats to payment. Love the master pass promo that is valid with online reservations.
Most unfriendly UI ever. As a movie booking app shouldn't the ability to book movies be on the front page????
Can't pay by card, total failure. App also contains tons of wakelocks and website is horrible on mobile devices.
Nice interface and easy to navigate. I really like that there's a share button that allows me to add my movie into my calendar! However, earlier on when i tried to do so, the app force close despite multiple attempts - even when i clicked "more" which is under the "add to calendar" key. Just a heads up, hope you do something about it!
