Cattle Manager
The app was created by John, Keiran and Ryan, students at Wick High School in Caithness, Scotland. John, comes from a long line of farmers and helps with his family’s herd. The team know that the last thing farmers want is to be wasting time and energy on paperwork so they have come up with an idea for an app that solves this problem.

Cattle Manager was developed as part of the Apps for Good programme and won the “Power to do More
- getting the most from your time ” category sponsored by Dell at the Apps for Good Awards 2013, the national app competition for young people across the UK. As an Apps for Good Award winner, the team worked with development agency Novoda to have their app prototype built professionally and publicly launched, with the support of Apps for Good and Dell.

App is ok, not a lot of options and functions, very basic,
wont even work. as soon as I try to enter vaccinations it closes
I dont like that you can't make something as sold
Cannot edit a cow once created. (Created at birth, a heifer can't be updated to a cow) no way to assign calves to a dam. The app guesses who is the dam, also creates multiple dams for same calf. This app is not set up for multiple season herd data. Basically delete and start over each year. Please update, it is a great starting point, needs attention.
The breed name uses Brahman as the hint text in the form. When I click on it and choose to proceed to the next field it should have defaulted to that breed. Instead it was left blank and is a required field before proceeding. It inconvenienced me
A useful app for keeping basic records, one thing that is extremely annoying is when you enter a calf birthday date and you want to edits details later it resets the birth date to today's date. So if you don't remember or have a record somewhere else it will be lost.
I like this app and find it very helpful. Is there any way that once I input the birth day that it remains the same. If I go back into this cow's set up, it changes the birth date back to today and I have to go back into my papers to locate it again.
I wish you could have a notes tab next to injections for other costs to the animal and other info for show stock. Also I would like to be able to put down the dam and the sire without needing them in your data base. This becomes a problem when I go to put down the information for a bred cow I just purchased Because the dam and sire aren't in my herd.
Great app helpful, but maby you can update the app so it can show each cow's breeding time and when the cow will deliver its calf.
Really handy, wish it would file my tag #s in numerical order. Constantly having to scroll is my only complaint.
It's a great idea but crashes very often, only let's you enter very limited data, and is nearly impossible to move the information onto a workable spreadsheet so you can do something with it.
App is simple and fast, A suggestion -- It is better to add breeding details such as expected repeat date, PD, calving dates etc, cannot find such apps in play store.

Great app. When you edit animal birthdate resets. Need comments section added. And ability to attach image would be awesome
If I edit an animal it changes the date of birth to the current date. Shouldn't change it. Could be better but it's not to bad, does the job
App is handed, but the birth dates keep resetting so makes it very frustrating.
I love this app! Very user friendly. My only suggestion is to make it possible to add other details under each animal. I like to put down where my cattle came from, purchase date, and purchase price. There wouldnt have to be a heading for each, just add a description box. Thank you! You all are the first to even begin to have a great app for farmers!
The birth dates are not registering correctly when you put them in it show a completely different date. You have to go back into the particular cow or steer in order to load dam and sire. Too many problem to load all the info and it not be working correctly.
I would like to be able to add vacations to all cattle without having to enter each head for same information. Also be able to put estimated breeding and calving dates. Other than that its pretty handy
You can only add Sire & Dam if you already have them recorded in your herd. What if the Sire is an AI. You cant add it unless you have saved the information previously. Other than that its a handy tool. How do you delete an animal?
Add a field to put weights. Injections doesn't show if exported. Other than that, a great app
The text overlaps when entering cattle... uninstalled the app due to this...
