Caustic Editor for VolcaSample

It works perfectly on my J7 android. I can record anything and edit it and transfer to the Volca Sample. Never had a problem with uploading wav. files into it, I got them at [email protected], Caustic will automatically convert them to 16@32kHz which is great. The only negative thing I can say is, trying repeatedly to upload samples/sequences and get an error. Most times, I have to reduce the memory of samples to 65% to get a successful transfer. Some had success at 90% full. Its a volume thing

When you plug in your sync cable to the phone it thinks you plugged in headphones and decreases the volume. The volume MUST be full or you'll get an error. Otherwise works perfectly.

When you are loading a sample - it puts you in the CEVS folder - but if you have folders within that - you can access them - but you can't seem to navigate back to the root folder? The file.manager is fantastic apart from this

Can't open a wave file unless it's marked as such. So when you have sample packs of hundreds of wav files, you need to go through one by one in windows to add the suffix. Making this totally unusable.

passable but would be a lot better if it could handle the file type that the standard voice recorder uses. instead you either have to download anothe voice recorder app or convert the files to wav. the effects are ok but with the low bit rate everything starts to sound like bit crushing if you layer them up.

I downloaded the app for the functionality of getting sounds to my sample. What I did not know until I download what that it has a custom sounds generator built in so you can get some simple sounds that work GREAT with the Volca Sample.

Caustic and the family are all fine music creating apps with all the stuff you want, need and after over a year, released an album and still learning more about it. This stand alone sampler is another great achievement by the company

I use the same app on PC. It is not the nicest app ever but it serves the purpose. Android version doesn't work at all. It crashes when I try to load any wav file.

works great!! do not forget to turn off dolby or any eq in your phone before uploading to volca. i have 2 suggestions to make it better, 1 i can not load samples from memory card only from the phone memory, 2 pleeeeaaase make some batch manegment that we can load whole batch at once and ulpload it to volca it would allow us to have batches ready anywhere for diferent generes ,,,,

Worked to my surprise. Interface is getting older but works just fine. Got an error message when trying to delete sounds, but no errors and no problems transferring new sounds.

I don't get it, everytime I alter a sample I end up virtually erasing it without being able to restore the patch without exiting and reloading a new copy. Not great at non permanent manipulation.

So called official IOS app is not working anymore so it is amazing to see this alternative. Pro tip: make sure to max headphone output volume or else you could get error when uploading.

Bricked my sampler. 5 seconds into transferring files korg flashes up error. Cannot fix it. No samples now on my sampler. It's useless. Do not get this app.

I get a warning that it's for old androids but damn now I can record in the app?!? Amazing Edit: can't find the speed up/pitch adjustment function that helps fit more into the volca

Updated in 2014 but the volca sample is now 2nd generation so... I think this app should update to that. Also would like to know about trouble solving and I just don't find useful information. With a little update and some support for the users the app would and maybe will be amazing. Will rate again then

It is the best app for creating good quality music i really like the reverb effect it really makes the song sound great/fantastic

Broke my device. Even if I do a factory reset, no sound comes out. Thanks a lot guys. I was hoping to sell this one day. This app just robbed me of $100.

It tells me that it's made for an older version of Android. I tried to play the samples within the app but it doesn't play.

Its amazing and has the best results in making your music and the sound quality is some of the best

Phone is too small for me but it would be ideal on a tablet. Nice work man.
