Caves (Roguelike)

It's an awesome game, probably the best of its category. The sounds, the pixel graphics, the animation of all the effects, the diversity of the items and the ennemies... All of this give an unique atmosphere you won't get to see on any other game of this category on mobile.

My dude this game can keep you going for so long it's crazy. It's updated very often, it has a lot of content, a lot of ways to play, micro-transactions are very well handled, it has replayability, it's great. The graphics are simple yet very well-made, the sound design is great (no background music but I don't think the game needs it), the gameplay is excellent, and so is the balancing. Personally my favorite armors are probably Warp (especially with fully-upgraded teleport strike) but I also like the Reaper as sort of a challenge to play in a more bloodthirsty way than usual. There's an armor for every kind of gameplay and don't worry, unlocking them won't take long. I love that. I love how the game really lets you feel rewarded for your efforts.

It really scratches the dungeon-crawler-roguelike itch. There is little to no help when it comes to getting started, but personally that's preferred to hand holding. The feeling of understanding certain mechanics and using knowledge gained after every run to figure out how to deal with certain enemies makes me feel like I'm actually progressing. Love it.

I used to play this constantly, but forgot about it until recently. Gameplay is smooth, items are unique, mechanics are fun, all while managing to stick to that perfect degree of difficult yet enjoyable so. It's just one of my favourite mobile rougelikes to date! Can't wait to get back into it.

All I can say is, WOW! For a free game the amount of detail and depth is insane! I tried this game last year and was utterly lost (starting can be very overwhelming!), but I re-downloadeded it recently and looked up some tips, and boy was I wrong to delete it. Give yourself some time to get used to the difficulty and mechanics, but overall it is a very fun/complex game, and it's all free!

Quite a brutal experience indeed. Its easy to learn but hard to master. The game has a dark atmosphere with suitable sounds and an eerie ambience. Turn based combat feels satisfying and lighting/particle effects are beautiful to behold. Navigating the levels by mining to find your own path was also unique and refreshing given that you have no idea what's on the other side. Lots to learn and barely scratched the surface. Another great roguelike in addition to Pixel Dungeon. Thanks for this gem.

Best rougelike app ive seen because it's actually difficult and everytime I die I feel like there's something I could of done differently. I could say a lot more nice things, generally if you like roguelikes you have no reason not to try this. This is one I've come back to occasionally for years now. Love the care the devs give it, hope they add some descriptions for the bestiary so we can know more about the environment/lore of the caves.

Can we give a moment to appreciate this guy hard work that made a perfect game that is fun on own system! And this game deserves more attention than it has. actually im really looking for update that includs an abillity like VATS in fallout series like selecting enemy limbs with hit persentage it really feels like the game need something like that.. other than that the game is perfect

Very good game considering that this is a mobile game, Very hard but with the right use of items, and good strategies like the survival kit (with survivor armor) the game becomes a not that hard. Thiers alot of items that seems useless but you will realize its potential in well in specific fights like alot of acid will can be survied with the "25% resistance to acid" armor. Banner ads is not that Annoying just be more accurate in clicking. Great roguelike game!

This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for. This game is one of the best Roguelike games for mobile. From the graphics to the enemies, this game does almost everything right. However, a tutorial for the different effects of damage types would be a nice addition.

I loves me a good dungeon crawl, but this is just. So. Slooow. The whole game is a slog that does everything it can to minimize progress. Each floor can take over an hour to explore and you'll be lucky to level once in that time. The perks are so niche as to be useless. Stores are too expensive and gold/gems are so rare that you'll have to hoard for 3-4 runs to afford 1 useful item. There's crafting, but good luck with that; components don't keep between runs and you need a lot. Meh.

Tutorial: Umm, why am I being told what strength, agility and luck are after I was given an opportunity to spend points? Also the tutorial could use being less of a wall of text. Gameplay: so far so good, controls are pretty comfortable. Overall: Good game :)

Definitely seems like my kind of game because I love Fallout, Pixel Dungeon, and Terraria. Maybe this game is actually good? Hard to say because ut's unapproachable. Just to start, there are some 20+ walls of text, no tutorial, and some hub world I don't understand. I installed this game twice, attempted 2 runs each time, had no idea what I was doing, and uninstalled twice.

I'd give it 10 stars if I could. This game doesn't hold your hand, there's a basic tutorial but for the most part, it thrusts you into the unforgiving subterranean depths without a clue. The game seemingly has no story, yet by examining enemies and structures you'll find yourself making headcanon lore. Do the loot goblins upgrade themselves with the gear they have if you don't kill them? Is the main character a human? If so, what makes them respawn? Cloning vat/human cell incubator!? Caves.

This game is challenging but addicting. I've never gotten more annoyed with an app than with this one, but that's part of the reason I love it. You learn the game as you play, and you certainly need to think about every move you make. Each level is different the deeper you go, and with time you begin to master every one as you replay. Very enjoyable if you like a challenge !

Been with this game since the very beginning off and on, just something to pass the time so I've never beaten it fully. I've gotten through all the biomes tho. Literally a top teir game. Only gripe is I want a faster pickaxe I can unlock and use from the get go 👁️👄👁️

It doesn't work :(. Really enjoy this game but whenever I open it, it instantly starts flickering and crashes. Its extremely fun and I really enjoy this game but I can't even play it anymore. Please fix, and ill update review to 5 stars.

Very fun and challenging. Many options to customize each run. The game has grown immensely since I last played it months ago. It's still great and has only gotten better.
