CBC Music

Tried their one of their music streams - classical chamber music. l brushed the screen at one point and it returned me to main menu. all attempts to get back to the chamber music screen failed, although the music continued to play. When I tried to scroll through the classical list, chamber music had disappeared. At one point as I tried closing and reopening the app, it forgot my time zone. Lacks "last played" available on tunein and other streaming apps. A waste of Canadian taxpayers money.

This has the potential to be a great app. What's the point of having a music app if it only plays one or two songs and then stops and I have to go back to my device and hit the 'play' button every 5 to 10 minutes? I've removed and downloaded the app multiple times hoping the issue would resolve itself. Very disappointing.

There are times when the music app just stops working and i try everything in the book to reactivate it without luck . Something has happened on a recent update. It's so irritating to have your favourite music suddenly stop. Never had this problem before. Come on, CBC!!!

Music is great but it stops playback periodically for no real reason. the icon still animates but no sound. the only way to get it to play again is change streams then back Or force quit the app and re launch. this is a problem on varriouse devices i have on 3 different versions of Android so im sure others must have the problem as well. Been wait a year for a fix but no such luck.

I used to love this app. Now it's garbage. not sure if it was an android update or the app is bad but it stops after only one song as soon as your phone goes to sleep. i tried changing every setting as still nothing. I am done with it. don't bother trying to reinstall it either...it doesn't help.

I've been addicted to this app for months because of the excellent variety (I'd like to see dance/ballroom/latin mixes and maybe a kids' mix). However, the latest version is very buggy, takes a long time to load and stalls between tracks--shades of the first streaming service CBC put together. I hope these bugs are squashed soon.

I really had high hopes for this app. I do love some of the CBC shows. The bad news is the sound quality of this app, it's pretty dreadful, internet radio can go from dreadful to quite good and compared to other radio apps I have this one is very compressed, lifeless, closed in sounding, leaning well towards the dreadful side. Hopefully the CBC can improve their sound quality.

Love the classical channels! However, seems to stop playing if app is running in the background for an extended time period (only while using other apps). From there, you have to close/reopen the app to get music playing again

pretty disappointed actually - streaming genre music but it feels like they've got a quota to meet as the songs frequently repeat - kinda pointless for a streaming app - there are buffering issues and the app stops often for no reason - I really was hoping that CBC would do it right but programming issues and the fact that they repeat songs within a genre is leaving me cold - I expected a lot more from CBC - the Can-Con is excellent, but that doesn't help if they are limiting the number of songs

I try to use this app to access the music stream for Afterdark ( formerly The Signal) . More often than not, when I open the app, it does not load all of the streams that appear towards the end of the Rock and Pop category for some reason, so I am unable to access the stream I am looking for.

Great idea but full of bugs. It frequently stops playing songs and will delete all of your saved preferences. It looks like these bugs have been brought up before and have not been addressed.

With latest update, app only ever plays one song at a time. Which is annoying. July 30, 2019 update: still only plays one song then stops. Have to exit genre and choose new genre to force it to play another song.

it worked the first time i used it, but now there is no sound. all volume levels are up in settings, just silence from this app. also, the app won't continuously play. you have to tap the play button after each song.

Buffering problems are gone. However, app tends to be a zombie: close it, and it'll keep coming back. Clear the notification, and ten minutes later it'll be back. Please fix, devs!

Has great music and a good interface, but it often stops playing. I want to pick a station and forget about it. This app doesn't check that box.

love this app but a BIG BUG lately - always listened to this app, loved the music, then I recently updated my Samsung phone and now I constantly get a message that I'm outside of Canada and only have access to the international version. I am in Canada, not sure why I am getting this message, and now I dont have access to many of the features I really enjoyed before. Please fix this!

great music selection, decent UX, but this apps streams are so choppy and inconsistent. plays 1 or 2 songs perfectly then craps out and stops playing altogether. frustrating for an app with such promise

great app for listening to all sorts of genres of music; commercial free. I would like to see the CBC Music Kids included, as it's not in rge app but it's on website.

The old app was marvelous. Had many genres of music. The new app is limited and either does not start or stops after one song.

Good curation of music is shadowed by poor app performance. The app will freeze after each song if the phone is idle.

Very nice interface but the main thing is streaming music. Doesnt go 5 minutes and it stops
