Love the app and have used for years. I used to clear CBP 4-5 days ago on a pixel 6 without issues. Today the app crashes on every opening. I've uninstalled, rebooting, then reinstalled still to get the same failure.
This app is full of bugs. The app quits when I try to enter data in expiry date field. It won’t allow me to add more than one traveler. And the scanner is very fussy and won't work most of the time. Very frustrating and now I am not sure I will be able to travel to the States this coming weekend. My phone is an Android 4.4.2 model SM-G386W. I downloaded the app yesterday, June 26. I believe I have the newest version available.
Crashes at any number of different points. reinstalled the app, no better. Not very useful if it does not let you enter your arrival information... Used the previous SVRP effortlessly. This one, not so. With so many similar reports I have to assume they are working hard to remedy the flaws. Not many apps get such low ratings...
First time user, trying to open new account for past 3 days. Will verify my email but will not accept setting up password, everytime I put in a password and push the continue button it kicks me back to the set up password page. All passwords are strong and have 4 green bars and all the permissions are turned on. The boat captain is having the same problem.
Great idea, poor execution. An app error in auto-creation of a traveler resulted in multiple entry requests being denied costing me hours of wasted life working with an agent (who didn't know how to use the app either) to get around the problem. What's more I find no way to delete the broken traveler from the app now. Also annoying that a twelve character password is required.
It's somewhat complicated to set up but if your on a boat and nearest customs is inland it saves a lot of time and money on cabs appearing in person. Make sure you have good internet before using.
I used this app a few times this summer and all worked very well. th updated version is crashing every time I touch either the report arrival or mode of travel buttons. The traveler and verification buttons do work.
I an a Uscg certified captain. I couldn't believe how complicated and user-unfriendly this app is . I must have entered at least five different authentication/password/approvals/access #s etc etc. It constantly sent me in circles. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!
Current version is crashing every time mode of transport is opened. Also crashes every time I attempt to report my arrival. Previous versions worked perfectly.
So, I set up my vessel and traveler info on my Android tablet, but cannot see this data on the Roam app on any of my other Android devices. Shouldn't my login.gov credentials allow access to my data on any device that can run the roam app? Useless and error prone If I have to re-enter info
Unable to complete sign up process because a glitch seems to cause the password key text box to autopopulate with random letters. Works fine on iPhone, this app did not work on my Samsung Galaxy.
I was a skeptic. Liked my I-68. Once I got through the initial set up, ROAM app worked great checking in. Videochat with officer was perfect. Friendly and efficient!
I've only used the app once but it was seamless and saved us hours in clearing customs from Canada. You do need 4g service for it to work but what a great advancement.
Was working well...until today anyways... Went to scan in my new Nexus card and I get is a green screen and with the scan "zone" also in green. Not very useful feature...
so we go from a system that worked fine to this burecrap! step 1: register with email and password that must contain 12 characters! then after 22 steps of bureaucracy the app doesnt work! Way to go! this is why people hate the government.
Doesn't seem like the app was well thought out or tested. The text describing password requirements did not correctly describe that a strong password was needed. An email with confirmation link is sent, a text with one time code is then sent, and a guid-like security code is finally sent to register the device. The text control to enter the security code is very buggy, cursor jumped all around. And finally, you gotta save the code if you ever need to register another device. Haven't tried to report in yet, but, for the time being, I am saving the call in number.
