Video was had to navigate. I had to change the settings in my phone to get the focus that the app requested. This should be updated.
Very user-friendly and self-explanatory. Easy to navigate and add photos.
Pictures are so bad, that I swear there is something in the app that disables my phone camera from autofocusing! Plus, I can just upload perfectly clear pictures that I already took of my car, using the same flipping device. Let's just say that there is something that I want the makers of this app to do with their app, but I can't say it here, and let's just leave it at that! lol
Photo estimator came with no prior warning or explanation in the app that photos must be taken live. It was difficult to capture my VIN and I had to try under different lighting conditions. Also, my estimate came back very quickly, but without very obvious damage estimated (in my case, a side light that left a gaping hole in the frame), and some non-obvious, but standard work which was not estimated (computer reset of the car). This was relatively quick and convenient to use, but incomplete.
Awkward to use and restrictive. Wouldn't allow me to scan the VIN the first few times I tried, but finally worked. Doesn't allow any photos to be submitted that aren't taken by the app itself. Camera function kept presenting instructions upside-down. I had better pictures of the damage in the situation where it occurred, but can't submit them in the app. Adequately did the job, but could be better.
It was ok until the video part. There's something wrong in the app and I couldn't get it to take the video properly. It kept thinking that I switched from landscape to portrait but I didnt. This happened constantly so the video is only a few seconds long and didnt capture what it should have . It was not my phone because I checked to make sure auto rotate was off ( and I did not rotate the screen - kept it on landscape mode). Also, pictures cant show all the damage. Eyes and touch are need.
Oversimplified Garbage. The app gives you no options, such as to just use pictures you might already have. Also it should outline in the very beginning what all info will be needed so that you can be ready, because I had to keep coming back and forth to the app for each new step which made it have connection issues, and I wasn't able to take a video because the car was taken before I realised it even needed one. Most frustrating part of this whole experience, not as "user friendly" as they think
Very good app! But I had a few issues... The app closed when I tried to retake optional images. Also There's no way to review the optional images. At one time it also restarted when I opened it back up after it crashed on me for trying to review the optional images. I had to log out and back in again to continue. There should be options that would let me add comments to the images for details as well.
Had a lot of trouble trying to get the app to work initially. Had to reinstall the app and restart my phone to actually get it to work without crashing. The flash on the camera feature is only automatic which can make taking pictures sometimes really inconvenient if it won't let you set it manually on. If Farmers is going to force me to use this app instead of the pictures I took the day of my accident with the actual camera on my phone, it could at least be a little less inconvenient to use.
Fairly user friendly and everything is explained well. However, the app crashes quite a bit resulting in it taking some time to complete (not fun when having to take pictures in the snow!) I was never able to submit a video of my damages because the app would crash every single time I tried. Not happy about that!
Very easy to use. Just read as you go. It guides you through each step & allows user to retake photos/videos. At the end it offers an opportunity to redo anything that you did & to add your own personal pictures. The only thing I would have liked is an "estimated" time to complete for planning purposes. I'd say it could take 5 min (if your tech knowledge 👍) & shouldn't take more than 30 min (with lots of retakes or 👎 tech knowledge). Hope that helps!🙂
it was 🆒👍😀but it started freezing in the middle of the phase and I had to redo and redo I even called Tech support and the only advice I could get was to redo it again and again and if it didn't work just call whoever wanted me to to use this app but once it started working right it was pretty cool!! the only reason I gave it three stars is because it froze in the middle and it did not focus in when I needed to take a photo of numbers but that's okay I'll send them to the right place LOL 4 🌟
The app eventually did the job, but after dozens of failed attempts to get the info entered. I could not scan the VIN number from the car door frame. After about 18 tries the app just stopped altogether. I was also unable to enter the VIN manually with about 5 tries. Finally I took a picture of the VIN on my registration and that worked! It would also be good to have a place to enter explanatory notes. Not an easy app to use, but with a lot of patience, it did work.
Niffty but needs some work on usability. Initial photo capture doesn't let you go back but when all is done, you can retake any picture. The app should let you know this up front. Also, the vin capture is funky. On scan the resolves to a blank screen. When manually entering vin it tells me that it's ok to manually enter. Finally when I give up and start to put my phone away, I turn to a horizontal view and it shows scan complete.
Simple download and directions. Easy walk through for setting up. My vehicle had rear and front end damage. Would be better if app allowed user to choose more than 1 damage area, take more than 8 pictures and take more than a 30 second video as you're going through those steps instead of uploading after. Everything else was easy peasy. Pretty good app.
Overall, easy to use and almost thought of everything. You need to allow the uploading of pictures. There are too many circumstances where pics are taken quickly and the car moved. You have no ability to see the undisturbed accident scene. But chances are great that we do!
I was surprised at how easy this app made taking pictures of my vehicle. It outlined the car with different angles so you know exactly where to take the picture, all you do is line up your phone with the outline of the car and take the picture. Same with taking pictures of the damage and same with the video of the damage. Very self-explanatory and easy to use
The app was good for the purpose it serves, although I think it could allow one to write a little bit more in the description. Also allow more video time or segments to submit more video footage, 30 seconds is really not enough time but it'll suffice for now. Over all a good app, but it's nothing like the human eye when needing to see damages.
Really convenient way for basic information to be sent. It would be nice if you could add several short videos instead of just one. Yu have the option to write notes with each photo. A zoom feature would be good too. But it's simple to use and gives a brief description right away to adjuster.
I was so annoyed with this app! It kept crashing after every photo it wouldn't scan the VIN number. Even after I typed it in it with accepted. And it says don't take the bin through the window but that's the only way it accepted it. I don't know this apple music app crashing I didn't know if I had to redo everything all over again. It was annoying
Instructions should be improved: it tells you to take a picture of something, then below it says "tap to dismiss" how about simply saying "NEXT". I took the required video several times with the phone horizontal and got a 1 second note to hold it horizontal. The first few times I couldn't read the message but kept trying & finally it accepted the video.
Fairly easy will not let you move on with the questionnaire until you put something in that box. So if you don't have information you can't come back to it you have to wait till you get it. It does not let you mark accident on the vehicle the actual area. The photos in the boxes don't all match up with what it says under the boxes because the boxes don't tell you what they are until afterwards. Yes the app needs to be retweeted just a little.
App was ok to use BUT it did not let a person take more then 10 photos & only 30 seconds to video damage. I had 2 points of impact and massive damage. Very difficult to squeeze damage around entire vehicle in only 30 seconds. I think app should let a person take "unlimited" photos of damage & get rid of the 30 seconds to video damage. Video should continue until the person is done videoing(?) damage. Other then that it was fine. Waiting now to see what the ins. co. says about what I submitted.
This app has easy to follow directions & enabled me to submit the information the insurer needed. Photo guides made it easy to capture images in the way the adjuster would need to see them, and I didn't have to wonder if I'd done that part right. Very efficient, which I'm sure will speed up the claims process. Only suggestion I have for developer of this well designed app is to suggest to user that (if possible) they take photos when the sunlight is optimal, for best quality images.
This app is NOT user friendly. It gives you instructions but you need to back out of that page to follow them rather than just click to continue. I took & sent my own pics & video. Much easier. But apparently if you don't use the app, the adjuster ignores your calls. Isn't the adjuster supposed to come out, examine & photograph the damage & provide an estimate? Why should the insured jump through hoops to get what they paid for?
Good app, I have concern about viewing pics due to sun position.
FROZE DID NOT WORK...... I downloaded this app and tried scan the barcode and it froze. If it does not have a full data connection it will not work. It has caused many problems with my insurance company because they say they will not take another form of photograph. It is also not clear who owns the data from this app it's a third party app and it is not labeled as to who keeps the data. I spent an extra hour or two trying to fix the problems that this app caused
Not very easy to use. Should have given prompts as pictures were taken, to continue taking pictures. The only option that I saw was to retake the former picture, which was NOT what I wanted to do. Also, I thought it e-mailed the ins. agency, and got word this morning that it did not. So, I had to go back into the app and figure out what else I needed to do. I finally clicked on the e-mail again and was given the opportunity to submit the media. Then, the agency sent a note that said they rec. it.
Overall, very easy to use, just match the outlines and you're good. One major issue: I took the photos as instructed. When complete, the submission process changed the titles. The photo i took when app asked for my odometer, was the odometer, but submission swapped photos, my driver's front image became titled odometer. Noooo.
The app doesn't work at all. Says my display is stuck in vertical mode and must change a display setting to auto-rotate for landscape mode. The setting doesn't exist. There is no way to proceed. Can't complete.
