CDTA iRide

Absolute garbage. Worked fine for the first two months I used it, but at the start of my latest monthly fare cycle, the activated QR codes became almost impossible for the onboard scanners to read. I don't know why; nothing changed with my phone. Now I have to stand there at the fare reader and scan many, many times each time I ride the bus before it miraculously and inexplicably decides to read one of many attempts - or the bus driver just waves me on, whichever comes first.

So it's actually less useful than previous versions. You can no longer input times in the 'plan your trip' section to actually plan your trip. It's a meh version and hopefully gets fixed at some point. You have to use it but not really sure why they made this version worse and how it's this bad unless it's intentionally bad

If you don't allow the app to run in the background, it cancels out all your trips you paid for and puts you back at zero so you can't use a day pass. So you end up paying double if you take more than three rides a day. It also won't sync to your navigator card so you can't scan it even if you've paid for rides and added your account.

This app is now basically useless. It was bad when they removed the arrivals at the nearest stop. Now they remove the ability to set your favorite stops. I can't believe they sought any input from riders. They have put back real time arrivals but for the last 4 days I can't get any arrival information. Too bad they don't have an IT department you could contact.

The live tracker doesn't work. It once showed my bus as on its usual route driving along...except it never showed up at the stop and when I called cdta they said it was broken down. Maybe focus on making your features ACTUALLY work

had issue with the card as well as the app. They need to update their system to allow you to transfer your funds fro. your card to your mobile device if your Navigator card or vice versa... has issues especially if it's an error on their behalf. It's an inconvenience when this is your only means to commute to and from work.

Unreliable schedule updates, no response from multiple attempts to contact IT about "invalid read" errors when attempting to use on the bus. Probably one of the poorest designed apps I've ever used? Probably? Definitely.

obviously this app is not done.... I feel like they just put it up to get some more money from a new feature.... I even read the reviews beforehand and all of them were negative.... But I had no choice but to purchase the mobile app version because the card and the app are not interchangeable.... I am completely disappointed at this point because now against my better judgement I am stuck with this app that doesnt even work.... Do not download this app!!!... The barcode doesn't even register

If you close the app from running in the background, you lose any progress towards your next free ride. Not cool. Otherwise, works fine for me and not having to worry about if I have exactly 1.50 cash for the bus is nice. Just scan and go.

Maps are impossibly lo-res (unless you are lucky and there's one on pdf schedule.) Real time data not available by route (see: onebusaway.) App is is just a thin skin on the basic web site.

Not very intuitive. Also, there doesnt seem to be a way to pay for the Express bus. The app automatically deducts a standard fare ($1.30) when using the pass. The express fare is $2.

Wish I could give this poor excuse for an app zero stars! Since it was "updated" it signs me out of my account at random, then won't let me sign back in, leaving me embarrassed and having to explain to your drivers that I have credit, I just can't access it! Disgraceful.

This app is useless! I put $80 on pay as you go 5 days ago and it hasnt loaded to my mobile app yet! it shows on the website that the money is there and my status is active. I just can't access it on the mobile app. I've never had this issue before and I can't seem to get anybody to help me

It makes bus travel so much easier. I get right on and don't have to look for change. I just scan my phone. As for the other features, I don't use them.

When scanned, the app says "Pass already used" when it hasn't been. Makes the app useless. Driver's are pissy about it and say it happens all the time. I can't believe they even put this app out there.

Always shows the wrong time or lies about what buses will be where/when. Edit - 12/20/2021 the app has had a number of updates and improvements since my original review (1/5) and I find it is finally in a good spot.

This app charges you for rides when the bus scanner fails to read which happens half the time so unless you have a nice bus driver you will frequently pay twice for a single ride. CDTA is aware of this but has not fixed or reimbursed for rides they know have been charged but not worked. This app is like flushing money into the cyber void of CDTAs coffers while humiliatingly standing at the front of the bus with everyone getting mad at you while you try to make it work. This app don't work!

Hate user unfriendly normal routes and times harder to find. Do i have a choice ? I guess i can get papers and take picture. Nerds who develope things need to think in broader specrtrum. Im an educator but not all technological things get absorbed.😥

New update broke the real time arrivals. They don't even open anymore. All you can do is choose a favorite stop, but you can't get any data about the stop.

app is completely worthless an absolute joke. I am stuck at home on my only day off because their system is down.. i can't believe they removed the option of a day pass in favor of this hot garbage.

I like the app but sometimes certain bus schedules disappear towards the end of the noght. Specifically the new 922/923 Bus Plus schedules.

Does not provide accurate real time info even when busses are late. Fare boxes don't scan app barcode well, cards are better.

This app is one if the worst transit apps I've ever used. If you just need arrival times/planning use Google Maps.

I downloaded this app to see the alerts as the bus never showed up this morning and there are 0 alerts so this app doesn't help me as I need to take the bus later today..
