You can improve the app to enter the meter reading by the customer monthly ( customer can upload a picture of the meter if necessary) and calculate the bill automatically. Then no need a person to visit every home to get meter reading. You can save paper works as well.
Now this given lot of issues. Cannot login to appa. Every time said network failure. Network failure for only this app. Other's app works really good. I try to register as a new user. It's showing failure. Before this app work well. I paid so many months my payments. This regard for app developer. Can solve this issue.
Impressed considering this is from a government entity. Nothing much to complain about as it does what it is supposed to do. Suggestions would be to make the billng process paperless and completely app dependent. Can improve the interface to be more user friendly, rather than what it shows currently on the home page - only the complaints. May be links to complaints, bills, usage details, payment details on the home page would make it more appealing.
User name recovery method is needed. Add a dedicated phone number for app support. Call center people have no idea about the app. overall it's good app. Also add colours for multiple accounts. It will be very useful to identify relevant account in calendar
I guess it would be better if you could add popup notifications for daily power cuts, just like it already has for those "essential maintenances". That way we won't have to open up the app everytime and see if there is any!!
Useless app, only thing you can do is lodging complaints. Doesn't even notify about power interruptions, you have to manually check to know whether there is a power cut or not. UI/UX part is acceptable but what is even the purpose of having a good looking app if it doesn't notify you about updates 🤦🏻♂️
The only good thing about this app is that I can lodge a complaint. They do contact when I do. But every other feature is just total BS. Maintenance notifications are wrong and misleading. Outage map is inaccurate almost all the time.
I have been using since 2021, which is very helpful to identify scheduled power cuts and irregular power interruptions in advance. Highly useful when rotational power cuts were being carried out.
April 2022. App has stopped working again. I am trying to pay bill from outside Sri Lanka. 'Network failure' and 'Fail' messages. Same with CEBCare website. Also not working. Consumer cannot pay if they cannot see the bill. This app was working very well until october 2021. Now it is giving a 'network failure'.. Has it been geofenced ?
Great App! Never expected such a good service. Quickly responce to the breakdown complains. But it is better if you can send us notifications on planned interuptions.
This application is not getting update the details real time like payments and monthly bill. Payment details and bill amounts are showing in seperate tabs hence we cannot figure out the payable amount since application details are not update on time. Pls include bill amount, payments and balance amount to be payed in one tab for our easy reference.
The outage times doesn't tally. Maybe no one is updating them. There's a convenience fee for visa payments I'd rather use my bank app. I haven't use the complain or problem reporting feature yet.
Easy to use.It would be better if you can show the last payment and the due bill correctly. Specially, very useful the interruption calendar these days. 😀
It's great to see government services adopting new technologies. App is ok but I noticed few bugs. First of all home screen is not much user friendly since it doesn't show any options to check the accounts and bills. And once I got to the accounts from slide menu I couldn't view the last bill. Hope these will be fixed soon. Keep up the good work
Potentially a very useful app. 'Interruption Calendar' updated with 'Load Shedding' times only in retrospect. What's the point?
Currently yin Qatar, I have used this app sins I'm here. Because, it's very useful for me to manage my CEB accounts. But, unfortunately from last month, it's not working on my mobile. It says, Network Error... Why? Is there any country restrictions?
Useless app.. wasted my data.. given many functions are not working. As examples Interruption Calander, Outage Map. Why do we keep this app?
Very Good app for its purpose. You need to add your premises CEB account details first. Then it shows billing and payment status, usage history for last 6m. Also show power cut schedule (due to crisis and breakdown) accurate for my area. Good job CEB
It worked well for over a month for me and now it shows "network failure" even though there is no problem with the internet when I'm trying to log into the account. please fix this soon!!!
Comparing to other government apps, this is perfect and very effective. I understand there are minor changes and improvements to be done, but this is great do far.
Can't type more than 3 figures for the number of units consumed in the bill calculator, it goes back to 0. No power interruptions described even though we have daily power cuts.
I paid my electricity bill through this app but I get the message that the electricity bill has not been paid yet so bad. I have not received any receipt for the payment I have made.
Honestly this app deserves positive review..but I give 1 star because I can't open the app with my VPN connection..if I try to open the app with VPN connection,it automatically log out..I hope you will fix these things..

Push notifications for scheduled power cuts and a notice few minutes before actual power cut, inaccurate schedules too, usually actual power cut is 15-20 minutes later than scheduled
It does not show scheduled power cuts. No use of CEB app these days without that option, therefore this is an outdated app.
Okay first of all this app suppose to help us to find out when's the next power interruption am i correct? But I've noticed one thing they updating the interruption calendar few seconds after it happened. So our electrical equipments can be ruined by this kind of irresponsible things. At least now on please update interruption calendar in the morning and keep that schedule do your thing on time instead of turn on and off whenever you want like Mr. Bean!
Would have given the app 5stars if it didn't have the following issues: 1. The app doesn't have an option to check your current invoice or past invoices. 2. The interruption calendar doesn't update correctly. When times are updated on power interruptions, it has both the new and old time. Which is a bit annoying. Hoping CEB IT team can fix these issues
