Latest version has significant issues. Takes a long time for the account register to load. Takes a long time for check images to load. Mobile check deposit is harder to use. It would be nice if it gave you a clue about what was wrong with the image, instead of just saying that it didn't meet your image quality standards. Was the check cut off on one side or another? Is the check blurry, even though the image is clear? What? Auto image capture and auto flash on mobile deposit would be nice to haves. Dark mode would be nice to have. Biggest issue is fix the load times.
It works ok. You can view your balances easy enough. You can transfer to other cefcu accounts easily. Plus it has a fingerprint passcode. But it just shows pending charges. It doesn't show your balance and available balance. It should have both on there instead of trying to figure out what's posted, what doesn't show up yet and how much I actually have in my account.
Used to work fine, could see all my accounts and transfer between them without an issue, the pending transactions are kind of annoying, but i have a calculator, so that's not an issue, ever since the update, it opens, logs in, but never stops loading, the whole point of me getting this app was to not have to go the bank or the ATM to see my balance, but currently that's what i have to do, hopefully they get it fixed sometime soon.
Functional, not fashionable. The app is not very pretty but it is user friendly. You can transfer money instantly between your checking your saving account. And the budgeting tools are fantastic. You can even link another bank account and your other credit cards to really get a picture of your monthly budget.
Good app for the most part. It seems like a lot of transactions show pending for 2-3 days, while others don't even show until 2-3 days after the transaction has been made and the money has been paid out. The ability to tranfer money immediately is great, but not seeing your current balance in checking is pretty annoying at times. And yes, my app is up to date...
App seems to work well. However, I'd appreciate having account notifications, i.e. checking debits, deposits, loan payments, come thru the app and notify me without having to open the app and actually check it. I tried setting up text notifications. That method is horrendous. Even when the text arrives hours later, it just says the number of debits, no merchant name or time or amount. I'm used to that feature from a previous credit Union and miss that feature.
Hit or Miss, my most frequently used feature is the MyPay. This is an extremely convenient tool for transferring money. However, I would say every 2 out of 5 attempts is met with an error. Occasionally, the MyPay page is not available at all. Overall, the app meets my needs. As a daily user, it does cause some frustration when I'm on the go jumping from my carrier's network to various WiFi connections.
Coming from Heartland Credit Union using their app...CEFCU is mostly just as user easy but one feature I miss is a section showing upcoming ACH deposits. It's just nice to see instead of just the day off the deposit.
When I first tried to install this app two months ago, every time I tried to open it, it only failed. After my initial complaint, within the next two weeks I got an email asking, and then shortly after it worked fine. Even if the phone doesn't initially work for your phone (mine is a Samsung J3 Star), they'll make it so the app will work for you.
When I make a funds transfer, the number pad does not appear on my app on my phone. Therefore, I have to log on to a computer to make those transfers. It's annoying.
I've had Zero issues with your app. Very useful and time saving. Keep up the great work!
Well when I opened it's hard to close now when I try to transfer from one account to another it want let keyboard appear so I can type in transfer
The app is a really great idea, however it doesn't always work. I've been charged countless fees for money not transferring into my accounts when I am sure I transferred the money and even read the notification that it did. When I call to complain after being charged, I am told that I am wrong. Not impressed!
The app is mostly fine, but is missing one huge function - your current pending balance. The only way to find it is to do the math from your current account balance. Every other financial institution I have ever worked with has this feature. The purpose of mobile banking is convenience and having to do mental math with a bunch of transactions is the opposite of convenience. No qualms so far other than this, but it is a deal-breaker.
It does not update fast enough. Not real time so harder to manage when it's not updated every transaction or even daily
Seems to have connection issues now saying I have slow internet. I have a 1gb connection and I can login to internet site no issues.
Started out great but no it seems to take days for a transaction to go through & not showing actual balance.
App works great. Never have issues. Allows me to do whatever i need , loans, balances, transfers, etc.
This app has come a long way from the initial offering. There are only 2 things that I do not like. 1. The app only tells me the current balance in my accounts and I have to do the math to figure out the available balance, and 2. Whenever I use my card at the gas pump, I see a hold of $0 until the purchase clears. My old bank knew what the amount was and put that on hold.
Mostly ok. Persistent camera error for mobile check deposit is frustrating. The camera refuses to focus on a check even after fully updating, restarting phone and app, and camera app, as well as clearing the phone cache. Google Pixel 1 running Android 9 for the dev's out there. If you can get the focus issue resolved, I'll gladly improve my rating.
it's nice when it works but I have had to uninstall and reinstall several times to get it to work. it happens when I try to transfer money from one account to another and the app will close completly and make you sign in again. after trying 3 times I have to uninstall, reinstall sign back in and it works. then do the whole process again the next time. and with the hassel at the bank itself I'm ready to switch banks.
Not perfect. But I really like the mobile check deposit and being able to view my accounts.
Just seems like it won't hold my business account in the online banking app. It was recently added, then pooof
App is easy to navigate, and customer service is helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that pending charges take forever to finalize which then messes with your budget. So as far as using the mobile app to keep yourself aware of your budget..... dont because you will log into the app a day later with a surprise.
Lately, the app won't let me sign in with my finger print. There also is not enough characters in my user name to match up with my actual user name. I am uninstalling and reinstalling the app in hopes that it will fix the problem. Edit: Uninstall and Reinstall fixed my problem.
the app constantly fails to open. it fails to show pending transactions a lot and doesnt show the pending new balance when it does show pending transactions. I moved money over from another account to not overdraft when my water bill was pending, and then the pending water bill completely disappeared so I thought it was returned.
Tried downloading the app and signing up for the very first time. Hit sign up on the main page after dwnld. Gave pertinent info and created a strong login ID. Hit submit. Keeps saying error but does not say what field the error occurred. Was definitely NOT the userID tho. Made sure of that. Do Not waste your time. Get a real developer next time. Huntington don't have this problem. And they now let you advance up to 1000 without a loan. Been with cse for 10 yrs.bout to switch
The app has been glitching for the past two months. Every time I log in it asks for a passcode. I have to have it emailed and then enter it in and register my phone as a nee device. I have had this app on my phone for over a year with my information saved and my phone already registered. Everytime I register my device but I still have to do it again the next time I try to log in. Edit: it's not just that date. This is still happening.
Mobile deposit is fast/ usually same day, which is awesome, overall features are pretty limited in scope, but it works 99% of the time, so that is great. It's better than my PNC app, and that is a huge national bank, so that is a compliment.
