Cel-Fi Wave

I'm not sure why there are so many complaints about this app. I have had NO issues whatsoever in pairing this with either my Tab S4 or my Galaxy S10 and there are no issues maintaining a connection. You're able to see exactly which bands are being boosted as well as the strength, quality, etc., and determine whether you have enough separation. You can even change bands being boosted. There is TONS of technical info. Bars are NOT enough! Now we're able to use mobile broadband as our internet.

Short blue tooth range . App constantly closes ,so always reopening . Boost ok but for nearly $1300 you expect more from a company . Only option we can use in Australia for telstra so I suppose with no opposition you don't have to worry about good service. Update normally have 1 or 2 bars on my phone ,Cel=fi does nothing to change that . Takes forever to find and sync with phone ,crashes randomly or can accidentally close while closing other apps worst 1300dollars I've ever spent.

FIRST CLASS! I use a Cel-Fi signal booster when I go caravanning and frequently camp too far from a tower to get a signal. This means that my phone won't work and I can't connect my laptop to the internet. But with the Cel-Fi I can get completely connected even if the nearest tower is far away. I have done this when the tower is over 40 km away.

It worked fine for me when I used it to view settings of the booster. I did not try to make changes or update anything because it's owned and managed by the cellular provider and because it said my software was already up to date. The app let me see which bands were being boosted and gave more details of signal strength which was interesting to see, but counting the bars on my cellphone was all I needed to do to confirm it was working correctly.

Simple app that does its job. My Cel-Fi booster has been an excellent upgrade to my house!

So far so good...it seems to be a pain when changing from 3g to 4g..or phone to data..but i have it set up in my FJCruiser via hands free and seems to be working very well on 3g which i use it on mainly. The only downside i find is that every time i turn off my bluetooth i have to re- search the wave app again before i travel.. Over all...my experience with this handy gadget is very good indeed..enabling me to make phone calls and receive phone calls while in very weak signal areas.cheers.

"Unable to connect to Wave Cloud", "Cannot link to Cel-Fi" and the Bluetooth is extremely weak making it unusable most times. Cannot think of another device I have ever owned with such weak bluetooth signal, especially as its a new unit, not 10 years old. On the whole, can see why so much negative feedback online but being only unit licensed for use in Australia, no alternatives and thats what Telstra likes as a business model.

Who exactly thought it was a good idea to more or less require cloud connectivity for a cell booster management app? There's no option to disable it so you have to launch the app, wait forever for it to fail to connect to the internet, and then continue in offline mode. It's infuriating.

The app has improved. Now more options to select 3G or 4G channels in the available bands. Sync time takes a bit of time but is ok most of the time. New feature showing repeater quality is good but can be a little slow to update. Overall it's a good app.

Doesn't work on my Samsung Galaxy S6 Active phone. It never sees the Cel-Fi on bluetooth. I suspect the Cel-Fi device is using an obsolete version on bluetooth, that my phone wouldn't tolerate. It did link on my Lenovo A10, but that doesn't have cellular. The horrible and unnecessary "registration" process took hours.

This app is unstable and crashes frequently. The mechanism to connect and usr a cel fi device lack any caching or mechanisms to optimise the user experience. The "status" information it provides is not inline with system performance. For example if i disconnect my service antenna, the dashboard status is "good", however my rsrp is -122 and 4g is unusable. If i connect the service antenna, i get an rsrp of -97 and the dashboard status show "ok" or "optimize the system" 4g however is fine. Every aspect of this software seems to show a lack of care or consideration for the user experience. How can a welk funded company that seems to have been working on this product for many years release something so substandard. How did Telstra certify this????

Please give us the ability to disable the cloud connectivity, it affects usability when you have no connection to the Internet.

After first install, the app worked great. Now it gets stuck trying to install operator settings, and now its unusable. Haven't been able to make a single call. Email help is responsive but the help suggestions have not worked to date. Hope I haven't wasted $1700

One plus 6. Recently problems began. Started getting message " due to connection issues the app is going to offline mode..."; this means that the repeater is unable to check the sw version on the cloud. So its boosting everything, which is not the case that an engineer wants.

Device is working well (aside from not allowing voice calls). I like the app but it crashes after a few minutes of use, every time.

I was informed there was a reply to this review. Re-adding my review because it was deleted .... Tech support is about as useful as a sloppy mud hut. Send a message describing the problem, tech support "xxxxx is this your serial number?" Yep that's the one, ".........", urm any chance of some help? "........"

Does what its advertised to do, with the receiver hooked up to the antenna and powered up, this app assisted in locating the best 4G signal and the app refreshes fast enough so that when rotating the antenna it takes about 5s to update the new imput.

lets you see inside your cell booster and lets you see some great info for supportng reception in a large building. it acts like you can force specific channels, but it's not consistant.

Works well, I wish it would auto connect, if I forget then others might not be able to call me. To enable this I installed Tasker and now when vehicle Bluetooth connects, Tasker will launch cel-fi app.

A bit clunky/slow sometimes but mostly does the job, I quite like the new option to choose which band you want to boost (3G/4G.)

I just doesn't connect anymore, no data is displayed and it is frustrating.

app runs, finds device, then begins to "sync data" apparently forever. Never did anything.

Used to be really happy with it but now all it wants to do is ask me to register my device. It is already registered & has been since i bought it for my caravan!!

fails to connect frequently to the cel fi. needs to be repeatedly reinstalled to function.

Unable to exit app with back button. Only way on my phone is to use the close all function.

Just doesn't work, sitting 1m from the unit it just won't load the info or connect.
