I had to re-install rhe app twice to get the updates. Other than this minor bug the app is a wonderful and useful tool as it kept me informed of my dining plans. The event and calendar section is great as you can see current and coming events a d it xan be scheduled in the calendar as a reminder. Everythung this app has is usefull and yiu can even open the cabin with the electronic key and manage the tv with tbe electronic remote control. Very useful app to have while on board.
App has major potential with major flaws. Meet some cool people and wanna connect through the messaging? It will almost never work or they won't be found. Ship time also doesn't update unless you close the app out so if it's in the background, time can change and you miss appointments without knowing. The app has some very top notch polish in certain areas but I'd rather it work as expected before it looks nice
App worked well enough for check in with the exception of vaccination card validation. On board information was not always updated such as a change in dinner time one evening. Also was unable to book excursions or specialty dining on the app.
Not user friendly.....you need to sort this App. When you open this app you should of course, like every other travel app, show ALL your cruises. It shows only one cruise. I accidently found a link, not on the main page, to show all your cruises and then let you choose your cruise to view ( we have 2 booked for this yesr) If you want your guests to use your App...then make it 100% useful.
Nice to have an app for a cruise, but slow to load & hard to find activities. You have to search for a particular movie to find what day it is showing. 4/6/2022 Loads quickly and now is clearly necessary to manage your cruise. Chat feature too complicated by requiring invite & acceptance for my wife in same cabin and for my son in cabin associated with mine. Chat notifications worked initially then mysteriously stopped. Chat not updated rapidly enough when schedule changed, eg: port cancelled
App crashed when trying to board the boat and caused us many problems when trying to check in! Worked OK on board the ship, nothing special though.
This app worked very well, and is very helpful while on board. It is amazing that on the APEX, the app functions as a stateroom key, light and AC control, and TV remote as well as ship schedule and menu. Unlike Royal, the celebrity app does not charge you to communicate with your children and other people in your party.
Great in principle, if only it was reliable. Would regularly fail to show data when on board ship, reinstalled several times but still no better.
Glitches. Useless calendar does not show arrival and departure times at ports. Could be so much more useful.
The app would not always open it wouldn't at the port one member of staff made us feel very small as if it was our fault not very reliable better with paper work in your hand
Hopefully I can update this with a higher rating later. We are cruising on the Solstice in less than two months but the Solstice is not yet available in the app. In January, another traveler noted that issue and Celebrity responded "The plan is to have all ships added to the app prior to their return to service. Please check back closer to your sail date." The Solstice starts sailing on May 6th so hopefully they have the Solstice added soon.
Functionally easy to use so long as wi-fi is not interrupted while onboard. Provides easy access to menus of the day in various restaurants which is not part of daily newsletter.
Cannot find anything I am looking for, ie. Boarding pass, Welcome Aboard. Others have a different home screen for the app.
Poor interface. Won't let me do anything without a scheduled cruise. Their sister app (Royal) let's me look around within the app.
Attempted to load our vaccination records 5 hours ago. Says it is still checking. Is this normal. Also have had to uninstall/install the app several times for it to work.
The app was very nicely done and incredibly convenient. Once you spend 5 minutes going through it, it is easy to navigate. We liked being able to control the TV and blinds from our phones.
The app is rubbish! Took so long for anything to load and didn't accept our NHS covid passes. Had to reload multiple times. V unhappy!
Could be better if it had more functionality beyond just onboard Use. Day, date, It's not just day 1, 2, 3... ship's positioning, critical announcements, just a few of the things missing on this app.
My Sony Experia will not allow me to sign in to the app. We sail on the Celebrity Eclipse in 2 weeks. Am unable to check in etc. Dont know what to do. Please help!
App was updated yesterday and now nothing works on it. UPDATE: After the 2nd day after the app updated, the app started working again. In the meantime, we visited the restaurants ahead of time to see the menus.
We left a wonderful cruise on Constellation today! Concerning the app, my biggest complaint is that it didn't have a complete list of all of the activities of the day in one place. I kept having to look at "entertainment", "spa", etc. I found myself using the paper guide to see what was going on next. I also saw other people who had not downloaded the app while checking in. Something should be done to help them or accommodations should be made to prevent slow down of processing the others.
Have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling for it to work. Hope it sorts itsself out by Saturday.
This latest app version seems buggy, but now working after reinstalling.
On arrival it was difficult to log on, could be because of initial volumn. My phone experienced glitches throughout the cruise. Sometimes did not get access to restaurant menus or event times were different from other members in my party. I have a Samsung phone, don't know if that has anything to do with it. Things seemed to be smoothing out by the end of the cruise. It was definitely worth having the app even though the glitches were annoying.
Terrible first impression!!!! I'm new, trying to ask questions and book a cruise. I downloaded the app, I can't get past the first page and I been on hold over an hour, 3 days in a row. Terrible first impression!!!! Edit.. that should explained in the headline,(for booked reservations only) so I don't waste time with the app... Still can't through on the phone, wait times are insane!!
