This app made it so easy for me to point an external cell phone pickup antenna. It gave me the direct bearing in degrees on the compass. My antenna was 5 degrees off. When I made the adjustment there were some notable improvements seen. First a benchmark website loaded up significantly faster. Then a number of files queued up in Microsoft OneDrive which didn't upload all night uploaded in less than 15 minutes. There were a number of other improvements I saw as well.
I have been using this app since the first of the year when I was living in Florida. It was great. It found the towers and pointed very accurately. Since coming back to Kentucky it had not worked. It doesn't even find a tower. So now it's totally useless. I'm giving 2 stars because it worked in Florida. Otherwise it would get a total thumbs down.
This is an absolute garbage app. First off, it did NOT detect the cell tower one block from me. I'm in Houston and we have cell towers all over the place. 2nd. Once you are in the app, it does NOT let you out of the app. I can't tap on it and show my navigation bar at the bottom, nor does the program have a menu to exit. This thing is so much garbage that not only am I uninstalling it, I would recommend that Google remove it from the play store. Nor will I try any other of this vendor's apps
Doesn't work. 2 Verizon towers within 3 miles. Can't find them. I have switched snd tried every setting i vould find. it doesn't work. It worked for about the first 24 hours thrn dtopped. i have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times. No matter what I've tried nothing changes.
Tower info is way out, over a mile in some instances. The current tower is shown as a km out to sea as I write this review. I have had same results in other tower info apps which makes me think they all use the same inacurate database. App looks really nice though.
Doesn't work. There's a tower just down the road & it won't pick it up. Also the screen flashes white 99% of the time.. "please tell us more about the issue"... I just did.
It was quite accurate, i tested it and i found the tower just ahead. I have used 3 operators and only 1 succesfully tracked the BTS, 2 others weren't, do you have any explanation for this? I'll give 5 stars if you could explain to me the problem is.
Only shows one tower. Won't let select which service to show towers. Ads deceptively located on top of where Android back button is, making it difficult to exit app without clicking on an ad.
Works great, I don't know why there's so many lower ratings, the app shows you a direct line via satellite image/map to the nearest cell tower. Helped me tremendously!
The app really works! It provides useful information about the cell phone tower your connecting to, its live updated data & best of all its free!!
This app requires a phone with a coonevtion to the tower to work, I use a cellular router with an antenna on a 35 ft pole to get a signal, I just need to know if I have a better cell tower to connect to my MoFi 4500. "Cell tower locator" is a false flag, every cell phone is a cell tower locator...
100% useless. I love in a city with almost 20 cell towers. This app could not find even one of them. No way to access setup or info.
Not very useful at all. The only tower it thinks I'm connected to is in a firmly residential district with zero possibility of a tower.
It shows a map. It didn't show towers or bandwidth colors. I switched between each setting and let it run its course.
Works as described. Not all Towers will be shown as most cell companies try to keep that information private to avoid damage to their towers but overall works great
i see the battle is alive. just moved to place on sac river. no signal unless im in air 50 ft. above ground. 6000m to tower ? the trains dont have this problem and tower inside there yard. if i drive 1 mile i can see cell towers are they plugged in? parked next to gate of 3 and this app does not see them. is my phone broken? Verizon wireless and Xfinity tower? take app and use it to find your spot of choice. 112 in the red zone.
I live in a rural area with very poor service because of the geography. This app works for me nicely! I rate it 4++. It located two towers in nearly opposite directions. Using the Compass Pro app I aimed two Yagi antennas, through a line-in Combiner, to a WeBoost amplifier. Am now receiving signal strength of -110 to 90dbn. Before was only -120 to -110dbn with the same equipment. I would write it higher; however, a new user may find the technicality very daunting. As did I a year ago.
