Cell Widget
- Operator Name
- MCC (mobile country code) and MNC (mobile network code)
- Speed (HSDPA, EDGE, LTE...)
- LAC (Location Area Code)
- Cell-ID
- Current dBm
Each information can be hidden.
- Configurable Text color, size and opacity.
- Optional notification
- Notification without widget
- Action configurable when touching widget or notification
Other Features:
- Auto collect new cells. Cells are named with the celltower location, but the name can be changed.
- Option to flag certain cells as home cell. When enabling notifications and connected to a cell which is flagged as home cell, the notification icon becomes a house. This can be useful for people who can make cheaper phone calls when they are in a certain area. The cells have to be flagged manually since there is no way to do this automatically.
- Show cell position on map
- First seen and last seen time for each collected cell
- Import/export cell database
- Toggle flightmode (up to Android 4.2)
Permissions:
- INTERNET: Cell location lookup
- ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: For getting LAC and cell id
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Detect if device is in flightmode/offline
- READ_PHONE_STATE: Get Operator/MCC/MNC
- WRITE_SETTINGS: Toggle flightmode (on devices lower than Android 4.2)
- WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Export database
- READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Import database

Excellent informational/diagnostic app. Simple clean informative. I like this widget just fine. I'm sure the features/items that don't seem to populate (Band/frequency) are due to Android security not allowing apps to read that info without root; at least now-a-days.
Very good ! Thanks for your effort ! Very customisable and can adapt on everyone's taste . So far i found only this and one more application hwo let you overlay name of mobile operator (phono).Finnaly is a matter of taste . Thanks again for good job and keep it on ! One more thing - its adfree...Big plus .Do you please consider to add some mobile operators logo ? Something like "Phono" application ? Thanks for your effort !
The only app which can display dual networks properly on the status bar without any issues. The only thing is that it doesnt display the type that is 3G 4G properly in the status bar
Worked great till update to Android 10. Now I can place the widget but no value is shown. Just a black box. Useless. Back to old version which works just fine! 02/20: still nothing after today's update.
Great app until I accumulated around 15k to 20k towers. It has now bogged down and works too slow to use when trying to manage cell names.
Great app. I was looking for this for a long time. It would be great if you can enhance the app to display cell broadcast messages as well. Then the app is more complete.
Updated and now no information ( only the carrier name ) is displayed on my Android 11 device, even though all permissions have been given. Was working without a problem before this last update.
So simple to use, doesn't consume data. Please fix signal strength option, not really stable and sometimes stuck.
I like this widget..this is for 1st time I 'm looking very smart widget and 'gentelwidget' cool simple suite,but..it's great..like a Tony Stark with his Iron Man suite..that's mean this app with my device..awesome..thank you for the great app have I seen before..nice future.
Hi, this gives all the information you need on top pf home screen including connected tower cell name. The developer responds to user request please say what is new while updating your fixes and improvements
Upgrade to Android 12 broke the app. Totally useless now. Xiaomi 11T Pro. Was working perfectly on Android 11.
Sir actually this cell widget is working with Samsung handsets. But not working in a MI PRO 5 Handset ie not changing cell info until mobile restart. please do needfull
Wish it would have a db mapping MCC/MNC to the actual operator name and an option to display it instead of SIM based network name. Maybe even show that carrier logo.

Android 11 always warns me, "cell widget is draining the battery."
Nice tool. These days some smartphone manufacturers are not even bothered to display their network name. This tool overcomes this problem
Good app, but in Samsung A40 I always get a message that it uses too many battery ressources.

Excellent! Shows the network operator as well as other technical data from it. I love it since I travel a lot and sometimes need to change carriers in a foreign country to improve call quality.
