I am constantly seeing errors in the app. Tried to send developer email but contact is undeliverable. Terrible experience so far.
Recently updated? Excess request for permissions that shouldn't be needed. Stays open persistently, unable to dismiss notifications. Excess drain of resources.
I'm supposed to be able to control all options from the cloud tool, but all the options I have is to add my name and cell number. It tells me that private access codes can be created for my guests, but there is no way to do that. The only option you get is to log out...no support after hours or weekends (when you really need it). Not a good tool at all...when someone tries to call from the gate it rings once and hangs up. Stay away from this product.
this app and the entire cellgate software stack is terrible. it does not work properly on pixel devices. on a pixel device you cannot receive calls from the gate, which makes the entire system worthless. it means my gate system is worthless. also there is no notification based system. definitely would recommend cellgate to anyone.
Are you kidding me??? What a horrible developer they have. Worst user experience ever. Doesn't even work for the most basic function. Looks like they just changed the interface layout on an already poor setup and called it good. This will be the beginning demise of the rest of the company. We're pulling our subscriptions.
This application needs some hardening so it can stand up to rigorous use. Some usability flaws include the failure to disconnect a call after opening a gate, a Biometrics action that adds nothing to the application, and notifications that have proven to be inconsistent. The app only lets you sign in on one device, some more thought should be given to the user interface the ability to generate temporary codes would also be useful. The application is 90% there. With a little effort it will be a 5.
App needs a lot of work. As an administrator, I have no access to management tools except to open and close gate. Even then, as a homeowner not a commercial account, i need an unnecessary extra click to get to buttons for open, close and temporary open. Clicking open gate makes you set a time limit, which is unnecessary if you just want to open the gate.. timed opening should be a fourth option. Customer support number needs to be prominently displayed and customer support is hard to get.
Product updated and my experience with it has been bad, difficult to use as a gate opener. Previous version was great, don't use app anymore, too many buttons to push to get to the one I want.
Still a low level app. Lots of bugs, rarely works well. Wish there was a good alternative.
The app sucks Period. Does not work properly. Half the time I can't open the gate for my guests. Video doesn't work either.
CellGate is an awesome product!! Perfect for our gate security needs.

worst development experience I've ever experienced. First we went with watchmanevo which never worked so they had us switch to this. Then this app failed. Very poorly managed.
Sometimes the gate just doesn't call. Kinda defeats the entire purpose. Terrible app features and zero admin control.
App does not work at all, even after reinstall. Customer service Pre-Covid 19 was good. Post Covid 19 poor on account of poor communication by staff. Can't control my trap gates or cameras with the app. It is almost impossible to have a verbal discussion with support staff.
If it were possible to do '0' stars, I WOULD!!! Worst app EVER!!! It was working fine for about 1 day, and now it shuts down or won't even come on at all! Reinstalled 6 times!
No options on the dashboard. Settings useless. Previous version was ok, this is definitely much worse.
Horrible app. I can login on the webpage but the app won't let me login using the exact same info. Regretting the HOA getting this system.
The app only works (and only half the time) when I have it open moments before the guest calls. Rarely is this possible and rarely does this work as expected.
New app is horrible. Cant even use password key to login to multiple systems. Junk!!
I'm an installer who works with this app and Cellgates customer support everyday, couldn't be happier. We even have the Watchman telephone entry where I work. Great support.
What a horrible app, it won't even let you log in. What a shame in 2021 where technology is so advanced an this app does not work. What a piece of junk.
I followed the login directions exactly and it won't work. I was given the login information from CellGate. It's completely worthless

Terrible app ever. No notification, no sound when someone is calling. You should hire a better developer to remake the app. It's useless now.
App needs to show gate position. What good is the sensor on the gate if you cannot see position in the app to verify status.

would be good if they would leave what was working alone ! Also would be nice to be notified of a change so we could take a few weeks off while they fix what wasn't broken.
Difficult to set up and rarely works. It also requires pulling out your phone accessing the app and trying to get it to work while in traffic, illegal here.
