Centriq

Centriq is available on all platforms including our fully featured web app: https://app.mycentriq.com

What's new in this release - August, 2019:
New: Re-arrange groups to sort things your way (mobile only)
New: Switch between groups without going back to the home screen using the new navigation bar
Improved: Notes on mobile now allow for multi-line notes, just hit return for a new line.
Fixed: General fixes and performance enhancements

Don’t forget, Centriq is also available on your tablet and computer in any browser at: https://app.mycentriq.com

Centriq was created by two homeowners who were got fed up with wasting time and money around their home. Our lives are filled with more and more stuff. The stuff is increasingly complex. And when the stuff doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do, we’re expected to spend hours chasing down the answer from a million different places.

They asked themselves, “Why can’t everything I need be in one place?”

So they built Centriq. Now, all you have to do is take a picture of a product label and from that photo, Centriq identifies the product and fetches the user manual, troubleshooting guides, parts & consumables, videos and anything else to help you get the most out of the things you own.

You can also easily keep track of receipts, warranties, paint colors, anything else related to your home and your stuff that you know you’ll need quick access to some day.

“Centriq saved my remodel! Thanks Centriq” - Molly B, Palo Alto, CA

“I want to put my kids in Centriq.” - Nate W, Knoxville, TN

Centriq answers the questions:
Is it safe?
How do I use it?
What should I do before I spend money on a pro?
How and when do I maintain it?
Who do I call?
What part or size do I need?
And many more...

WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH CENTRIQ?
When something goes wrong (and you know it will!) that file folder you won’t be able to find won’t do you any good. Instead, put it in Centriq and:

- Never search for a paper manual again or scan manuals yourself… get rid of the box, drawer or folder and use Centriq as the one place for your user manuals
- Learn about any product safety recalls before it’s too late
- Organize all the paperwork from your remodel or renovation project
- Troubleshoot problems yourself before you spend money on a pro
- Learn how to use all the features on the things you own
- Order the parts, supplies and accessories for your exact model
- Keep track of paint colors to save you time and money on touch ups
- When buying or selling a home, transfer the appliance and equipment manuals, service history and information about the home

RECEIVE EVERY PRODUCT SAFETY RECALL WARNING
Major appliances cause 150,000 house fires each year!

Centriq checks every product you add against the national product safety recall database every single day. If anything has been recalled, like the 8 million Cuisinart food processors, we’ll tell you!

ONE-CLICK ORDER THE PART THAT FITS
Whether it’s a consumable you need often, like a water filter or toner cartridge, or an obscure part for your DIY repair, Centriq is the fastest way to get it.

STOP HUNTING FOR THAT USER MANUAL
The user manual and other important support documents are there automatically for every product you add.

TROUBLESHOOT WITH EASE
Tips and how-to videos specific to each product added. Save money and try that “one quick fix” yourself before you make the call.

MANAGE RECEIPTS, WARRANTIES AND OTHER IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS
All those miscellaneous papers and attachments you know you’ll need one day can actually be found. When you keep them in Centriq.

worked great for a long while, just recently it locked up showing a screen saying "preparing your home ". I can't access any of the pictures or data saved talked to customer support and they were helpful with suggestions. I tried resetting the app 3 or 4 times. Nothing worked. 2 weeks later I tried again before removing the app and everything works fine. It's a great app now that it's working

I downloaded the app a few months ago. I have not been able to get back to using it yet due to other personal complications. I recall I had some problems with the app and I was told that the browser version worked fine. My problem with that is that I want an APP, not a browser version as the main method. I would consider the browser version only as a backup version choice. On my mobile devices, apps, if well-designed and working properly, are much faster and more straightforward to use.

Just started using the app but upon first impressions, the fonts are too small and too light so it's very hard to see the items on the screen and this is on a 6.5 inch screen. Please add a dark mode. The UI can be improved visually. I like the ability to access it via the web. I hope that after spending time adding all my items they are backed up and I don't lose them. Seems like it will be useful as an organizer. The developers appear to be responsive which is good.

Just what I needed - A way to store receipts, pictures, and notes about specific products ALL IN ONE PLACE. So easy to input items - just scan your make and model tag, then it finds the product for you. The fact that the app will even find your manual and warranty is a cherry on top. The organization is stellar - Already setup with categories like Garage (with tools, sporting goods, and bikes) and Kitchen (with refrigerator, dishwasher, range, etc) and Laundry (with washer, dryer, and vacuum) and Office (printer, computer, etc). You can add, expand, and customize however you like. The icons are clean and simple and the whole format is very easy on the eye. You can separate items into different properties. Even add vehicles, though it is fairly rudimentary. I would like to keep a whole repair and maintenance log with each vehicle. The notes section is the best way to record this right now.

It's a great way to keep track of your home and the stuff in it. It's very flexible and can find or track just about anything. Helpful when you are looking for parts, trying to remember model numbers, paint colors, filter sizes etc. Plus they listen to feedback and are continually working to make it better! I've had a few of my suggestions incorporated into the app.

As others have mentioned, this WAS a very good app UNTIL they started charging. Having the manuals readily available is a great feature. I am a simple homeowner, not a landlord or commercial property manager. Maybe Centriq can reconsider their pricing policy. Maybe free for single home, $x for 2 - 5, and $xx for 6+. Just a thought. In the meantime, I will be looking for a new app. Wish I didn't have to.

Bait and switch. I liked the app a lot and loaded it up with more than 100 items. Now Centriq only supports 5 items for free! If I want to either add a new item or update one it costs me $99 per year. Just simple homeowner, no a rental manager. True I still have access, but I can't update. For example I recently replaced my dishwasher. Can't replace the old one with the new one.

I've been using Centriq for several months and couldn't be more impressed and pleased with it. One incredibly convenient, always-ready place for so much data, and an incredibly responsive support staff for tech issues--even on the eve of a major holiday! 😯 This app is an absolute 'must have' for any DIY-er, homeowner, or anyone who has to keep track of and/or support pretty much anything around a home or farm. Centriq should be strongly promoted at all DIY-type stores! GREAT APP!!

The app was working fine till on a sudden I see a CentriQ blue screen with " There was a problem loading Centriq. Please try later." and a "Retry" button. But retrying is no good. closed the app multiple times, rebooted the phone and still no use. But a good concept to bring all your house hold items neatly inventoried and it helps with manuals, parts useful videos all organized nicely. Uninstalled n reinstalled many times and no luck. The issue is when I click on the room name to change.

This app is pretty great if you're like me and want an inventory of all the big items in your house. I would have otherwise made a spreadsheet and this saved me a bunch of headache. If the app doesn't have an item in their database, the Centriq team will get it added. The only thing that it falls short on is that I wish the maintenance reminders and warranty expirations could be exported to something like a Google calendar.

Great idea and a great app killed by greed. This app is slick. It works and I love it; except they charge $5 per month! I might pay a one time fee for this app but never a subscription. I wish they would take a "make a little bit from millions" approach instead of a "make a lot from a few" approach. I would be ok with ads about home care. I might even be ok with personalized ads based on appliances I own, maybe. This thing is nearly as expensive as Disney+ and it doesn't have The Mandalorian.

Gar. G. May 29, 2019

As I have used this app more & more, I've come to appreciate what it does. It gives you a central location for information of all items (as much as you'd like to give) in your house. From your scissors to your roof, doesn't matter, just enter the make and model number and it'll work to fill in all the information about the product & more. Even hard to find parts. You can also store data for multiple homes (house & RV) for example. Great app!

No more paper! Keeps everything in one place, including receipts, electronically. So easy to locate the user manual, parts, etc. Much quicker than digging through paper manuals. It even gets how-to videos for you. So far they've gotten everything I've added right. Highly recommend.

Ben. C. May 19, 2019

amazing idea for an app and good execution. so convenient to have every manual, reciept, paint color, serial number, etc in digital, searchable form. there are some rough bits in the app itself, but the functionality of the app more than makes up for those annoyances. highly recommended to any home owner or apartment dweller.

Mar. D. Feb 13, 2021

Loved this app until they wanted to start charging. Although I still have access to everything I previously entered, I can't add anything else without paying. Is it convenient, yes, but there is not enough benefit to warrant paying monthly for this. They would be best served to sell ad space vs. charge a subscription fee.

Rya. Feb 25, 2020

Unfortunately the photo portion of the app is just not very practical. When I scanned an item, the app told me it will take 24-48 hours to find the information... Not very useful to waste two days before starting the repair process. Fortunately, you can use the manual search and have it pull up the info nearly instantly. This is just slightly more useful than a website. It's nice to have everything in one place. I like that you don't need to sign in... That's what got this app a fourth star.

Useful App Crippled By Overpriced Subscription. Loved the ability to look up/track appliances, however I quickly hit the 5 item limit. While $5 a month is not super exorbitant, it is more than I can justify for an app that would be lightly used. Functionality/convenience has value, but just not quite worth what they are charging. Would be nice to see a subscription for half the cost, even if it only offered half the items (i.e. 50). Will stick with the less functional but free HomeZada app.

Bob. F. Mar 5, 2021

Very useful app. This has replaced a big binder full of manuals, warranties, and receipts for our appliances and tools. It makes locating repair parts easy. I wish it was free, but understand the need to fund the ongoing support and development of the service. Developers may have already thought of this, but if not, you might consider pitching Home Depot. Lowes, and other retailers on the benefits of including it as a value-added part of their customer membership programs.

Ang. R. Nov 18, 2020

I used to love this app, especially the fact that I didn't have to make an account with all my information in a "cloud". I have a small house with modestly priced belongings which means the new subscription format is not cost effective for normal homeowners. Maybe charge a flat fee of $9.99 for unlimited mobile access and $12.99 for cloud storage and online access, but leave the subscriptions for those who have multiple residences to keep track of. Now, I can't export my data without paying.

Zac. C. Feb 5, 2019

I love Centriq. Everything in my house is on the app and it's made it extremely easy to track maintenance, spare parts, and manuals. I highly recommend it to anyone who owns a house. We also use it at work for tracking our office equipment and tools. This is an area where I think Centriq could grow since it makes our life so much easier having manuals and a list of consumables such as toner, paper, or tool parts such as blades.

Cur. G. Jan 25, 2021

Loved the app until they started charging a subscription fee. I simply can't afford $8 a month for such a simple and limited service. They won't even offer free reduced access for manually entering new product. Super disappointed. This was a real asset...enter it and forget it sort of app. I'll have to begin the hunt all over.

Ant. R. Mar 13, 2022

I was a little disappointed when I found I could not add more appliances to my profile and was prompted to upgrade. I had to give it some thought. At the end I decided to give it a try because after taking a picture of a very local appliance they added it to the profile and even found documentations for it. I was very surprised by that. Looking forward to getting the most out of this app.

Hub. P. May 27, 2022

It was free and it was great. I added everything in my house I could think of. It is no longer totally free. The free version limits you to 5 items. I can't see a homeowner needing lower that the "expert" level which is $60/year. Phoo.

Nat. S. Mar 1, 2021

I love this app, it keeps all my appliances, tools, and maintenance at my fingertips. If i need a replacement blade or filter, i just open the app. I can schedule my monthly or yearly maintenance tasks in the app and get friendly reminders. You can also storage the contact info of contractors and repairmen within the app. It will notify you if and item has been recalled or when your warranty is about to expire. This app has made maintaining my home a much better and enjoyable experience.

All. L. May 25, 2021

I love this program. We have 2 residences with belongings that have become a problem for me to track. I collect in a couple of hobbies, so I like to know where everything is. Centriq is a great tool to use for that purpose. I plan to expand our usage so we can compile personal property lists for each house for insurance purposes. Centriq helps with maintaining appliances and tools in each house Because the user guides and manuals are kept in Centriq, looking up how to accomplish maintenance tasks is all in one place instead of having to search for the manuals.

Jim. P. Jun 30, 2020

This seems like a nice way to record belongings in your house. So far my only gripe is when you want to add the purchase date of your item a calendar pops up. Well, if you purchased it three years ago, you have to click on the calendar back arrow 36 times to get to the desired date. This should have an option to type in the date.

This is a really great app! I've been using for years, and have three properties in it, with loads of information stored. However, I'm knocking off a star, because now they're charging, and I really am struggling justifying the monthly cost...it just seems excessive. Even just a few bucks less a month would make a difference. Cmon Centriq, you're killing me!

A. G. u. May 23, 2021

As others have stated, this was a great app until they started charging to add additional items. I would be ok with ads to keep this app free or even a system where I'd have to watch/play 2-3 ads in order to add each additional item or a free account that limits the number of new items per month to 1 or 2.

AWA. S. Dec 4, 2020

I just downloaded & installed the app. When I opened it, it was Very SLOW, then it just Froze & stopped working. *UPDATE* - seems to be working okay now for some reason. However, there's new issue: After signing off, there's no way to close the app. Just stays there until I manually "x" out of it where open app windows are. So, basically, the app just doesn't close. *UPDATE 2" - I'm using the app & I like it; but, App keeps crashing. 12/4/20: Can't logon using WiFi. Data only. Barely use now. 🙁

HUGE RIP OFF! This app used to be free, and I loved it! I spent hours loading all of my household appliances and other items into it. Now I am suddenly limited to just 5 items unless I want to pay $8 (or more) per month (that's almost $100 per year!), which is outrageous for what little this app offers. Unfortunately I have disposed of all of my manuals for the items I recorded (the reason I started using this app in the first place), so now I'm going to have to spend hours finding them online.
