I loved this app, but the recent update has rendered it useless. I cannot connect to it from the dashboard. I'm using a stock Galaxy S8+, have given it all permissions, still no go. Also downloaded the apk from the website. Very disappointed in this, I hope a fix is on the way, otherwise I will have to try another service.
GREAT app. HOWEVER, BE SURE TO GO THROUGH the process to ensure the app is running in the background and not turned off for battery optimization. It can be tricky. The Cerberus site walks you thru it. I had to install Android drivers on my computer and then connect to the phone by USB. Windows 10 does not make this easy. I finally got it working.
What happened to "force wifi" or "force mobile data" when device is locked? There's features removed in the "rules" section. I can't even set the status bar to be turned off in lock as the error from years ago still hasn't been fixed! If I allow the status bar to be blocked in lock menu, it blocks it in normal usage on my home screen. This has been an error since years ago when I originally bought the app as a one off charge. Bit of a shame really.
Hey guys, I'm testing out the app and a few of the basic features don't seem to work. I have granted all asked permissions, made it a device admin, stopped battery opt. for it. What doesn't work: (from the web dashboard) 1. DEVICEINFO returns with SIM ID but the not the Mobile no. - comes up as null. - this is very critical 2. CALLLOG shows: Needs PHONE permission. But it's already granted. I've re-verified from settings that it is checked. Also, while testing, finger print unlock got dysfunctional - it no longer unlocks. What do i need to do to re-enable? Thanks.
I bought a subscription. But i tested it and if it finds your phone there is a notification saying device located by cerberus. This will alert thieves, making the app much less useful. EDIT: I fixed the issue by messing with a LOT of settings on android for blocking notifications. I also deleted and reinstalled the app, not sure if that was needed. This is probably mainly android's fault but Cerberus is kind of tricky to use at first hence 4 stars only. TLDR: TEST this app thoroughly first from another phone or device, don't wait till something happens!
Quite like the options it offers. Major drawback in my opinion, at least on my Xiaomi A2 lite running Android one, is the fact that the "disable power button when locked" option does not work. The menu still pops up for a split second making it possible to switch the device off.
Had a little issue with the app after the last update. My failed unlock attempts when using a pattern wasn't triggering the photo capture and the email but it seems that by changing your existing pattern, it will work once more so no biggie. The developer answered my emails when I contacted support. Thank you once again for a great app
good, but system framework constantly granting permission from magisk is a little annoying. more than that, with shutdown mode enabled, the volume bar takes a much longer time to go away automatically. strange issue, but it's the cerebus anti shutdown feature that causes it. no response when i sent an email about it
In the description section of the app, can you please highlight the part which says 'try it free for one week, then purchase license'. Installed the web version and the Playstore version to compare, no difference except Playstore version had icon in notification bar. If your phone was stolen (and locked) the thief anyways would not see the icon. The icon is just to notify that app is running in background, nothing to do with battery.
Last update broke something for me. Don't receive alert email with picture attached but with gmaps coordinates. Also, took 40% of my battery in 4 hours. Before last update everything was fine. Sent already an email to support, let's see if they fix it. My device is a Galaxy S8+
Looks like the app is abondoned, developer has stopped responding to emails, no reply to anyone on their support group, phone is not communicating via their web portal or client app. I have purchased two lifetime accounts and both are useless now. I would advise everyone not to pay for it anymore because of this if you are planning to.
It's great! Really works, and if once in while I encounter any problem the support is always there, helping. Bought the app and been using it for a few years already, with various devices. Absolutely recommend it!!👍
Total garbage, don't buy. Can't find your phone unless it's connected to wi-fi, which no thief would ever allow. Additionally, customer support is appalling... after three emails, I got the response: "Well, I'm afraid nothing else can be done." THANKS FOR NOTHING YOU POS APP, what a sham. AVOID AT ALL COSTS unless you like paying for nothing.
not as good as it once was as it has lost its stealth option and text control option but still remains a good anti theft app due to the fact unlike every other anti theft app it is extremely difficult or impossible to remove from the phone once installed unless you are the owner of the phone in question.
stop trying to get people to install the app outside of the store. i get that you cannot use some APIs, but by having people change settings and allow installation of external applications you are putting the less tech savy in danger.
I have given a (hopefully temporary) 3 stars for this app. Although I have this app on a few devices where it runs impeccably, it is useless on my Huawei P20 Pro. Please, LsDroid, there are lots of us out there with this phone and the number grows daily. You have to fix the app for this phone or you are going to lose out on many, many potential customers!!
I had a good experience for years until recently. The developers will not respond to any of my emails asking legitimate functionality questions and delete my inquires from their forum. In every case I have been polite and specified relevant hardware and software information. Even anodyne questions like "how can I better help facilitate this process" go unanswered. Beyond poor customer service this is EXTREMELY unprofessional. It also has the worst power management for any app of its kind. 0/5
disgusting app.........it connects to our device only for the first time...when the app is installed.....when we try to connect for the second time....it always displays "problem connecting to your device" even though my device is connected to internet and i gave all permissions.......customer service is poor........dont dare to buy this app....if you are doing so....then u might😞
Works perfectly. I don't understand all the negative reviews. It is simple to use and useful when theft eventually occurs. Also super helpful when I misplace my phone or tablet.
Every few seconds jump a small pop-up that this app use super user. No matter what i try to do. Its disturbing the keyboard, the camera shutter button etc. After years I'm going to remove and say goodbye.
I'm on Android 7 and it's annoying that it's been constantly disabled on services menu. Even by optimising the battery doesn't work, keeps prompting to activate.
Completely useless for 8.1. Power menu not blocked from lockscreen nor is force restart. Haven't even bothered checking the other features as this renders the program powerless. I want my money back!!!
I've had this forever on all of my devices. Latest update is forcing the app to show up as using battery in my notification bar all day now. Would like to know how to get rid of it if possible.
I am using this app for years now and have absolutely no complains. Recovered one theft attempt and one lost phone so far :) Keep older version if you want to use SMS and such. Please do not enforce upgrades LSDroid developers.
There have been multiple updates to the app that were released on December 13, 2018 that has introduced a bug that causes all of my phones to overheat and constantly turn the screen off. A large banner of Latin text also blocked my screen when it was on. I've had to wipe my phone and start from scratch. I do not recommend using this until the developer had directly addressed this issue.
