CFX

This used to work fine. Now the only way to get the app to connect to the fridge is to put my phone airplane mode, then switch wifi on whilst still in airplane mode. I just searched high and low on the internet to find that solution and found hundreds of annoyed android uses with the same issue. it makes the app completely useless now. I'm assuming it is just a software thing from either an Android update or a dometic update but can you please try and update the app and fix this bug.

Couldn't connect no matter what I tried. I turned on the cooler WiFi. I could see it on my phone's WiFi list. I selected it and entered password... Then nothing. And when I go back to the app, there's no new screen. Just the same screen prompting me 'NEXT' to connect. After numerous attempts, I finally have up. it just doesn't work. Samsung Note 8.

Trying to use the app. Won't let me get anywhere until I connect. Phone says I'm connected to the wifi for the fridge but there's no internet access. Looks like I'm connected via Bluetooth but can't get further in the app because it reads no connection. I have verified that I am using the right options (one door fridge not two door) and I'm stand right next to the fridge. I was hoping to get a better user guide since the one that comes with it is full of pictures that aren't helpful.

Just bought a cfx 75. Stupid set up. Can't use mobile data when connected through WiFi. How on earth did someone think this was a good idea? Surely it would have been better to get the fridge to connect to your mobile hotspot instead of having to connect to the fridges WiFi hotspot with no data connection??? Engineer you dumb dumb. Everyone who suggests bluetooth, that also encounters the same situation if you're driving. No Bluetooth connection to car stereos/hands free etc.

Works fine for me but only after I disable my cellular data. I think android sees the WiFi has no internet so causes data to traverse the cell link. Of course the app won't find the cfx on the cell link. As soon as I turned the cell data off, the app connected immediately to the cfx and I was able to control it. Would be good if the app could be designed in such a way that this wasn't necessary. Or at least more clearly communicated in the set up guide.

App doesn't work with Android 10. Launch the app and it instantly crashes when connected to the cooler's WiFi AP. Leaving rating at 1 star and telling friends/colleagues to stay away from Dometic products until this is fixed. Used to be a decent app, had to turn of mobile data when connecting to WiFi to overcome an issue with the way Android routes traffic, otherwise used to work good. Dometic, please get on top of updating your software, as more and more devices are upgraded to Android 10 you will receive more complaints and many more upset customers. As an alternative, you could release the API and let the community build their own apps to integrate with the device.

Mobile data not available when connected. When the phone is connected to the fridge via the fridge Wi-Fi network, mobile data MUST be turned off or the fridge will not connect. This is a stupid flaw which stops you using mobile data when connected to the fridge. The app isn't really useful, except if you're to lazy to get up to change the temp. Useage metrics would be more useful like current draw etc. A rubbish app paired with a great fridge. Running Galaxy S10 Android.

Useless feature as it requires device to be solely connected to its wifi network, with even cellular network turned off. They need to get this to connect to your home network and then let app access info from anywhere. Otherwise, should have been bluetooth so that you can still use your ohone. For thise if you failing to connect, turn off cellular network. Worked immediately for me.

Update:6/30/2020 Today there was an update. The app works like it used to. You need to connect directly to the units wifi (no internet). Update: 6/10/2020. I contacted Dometic and was told they were working on fixing the app 6 months ago. I hate being lied to. Still no response and it still doesn't work Crashes after my phone updates to version 10. It worked fine before although not very well.

If you are trying to use the app on a device that is updated to Android 10 it's going to be pretty frustrating because no matter what you do the app is just going to keep crashing. Fortunately I have a super old tablet that hasn't gotten updates in years and the app works just fine. It works but you'd think it would be pretty easy just to make it compatible with the new update so I'm not sure what's going on there?

I have been unable to have this app working on any Android device. It does seem to work on IOS which is a positive, however after spending so much money on the fridge it is very disappointing. The big question I want answered is, why can't the fridge join an existing WiFi network? The fact that I need to connect to the fridges WiFi is just stupid. This is why I was looking for a fridge that had WiFi and NOT Bluetooth. If I had know this, I would not have even bothered buying it.

Unable to connect via wi-fi or bluetooth. Samsung s10+. Entirely unacceptable. After connecting to the CFX 3 55IM's network and opening the app it hangs perpetually at the screen where the version number shows. If one selects the connection guide there is no prgress beyond showing the wifi network choices where you are already connected to the cooler's wifi. A good dev team could remediate this in a day. ...please do NOT reply with a boiler plate answer. Be accountable.

Both wifi and bluetooth connections "work," but app sure doesn't. Just gets stuck on app page and connection guide hangs up at wifi connection (even though device is connected to cooler). Disappointing. Should have checked app ratings before pulling the trigger on this thing (though for the right price it's still a solid appliance so far).

After connecting to the fridge WiFi the app closes and when close every time it is opened. It has worked before with this fridge. The app hasn't been updated in a long time and may not support newer Android versions. Not great with the cost of the fridge... The app finally works with Android again but it too far too long. I will continue to share my negative experiences with Dometic and a strong recommendation to buy another brand.

connects to wifi for fridge but the next time you go to the fridge after leaving for a day/week it connects your phone to the wifi but the app stays at the connect to wifi page even though the phone is connected. Very frustrating as it's then a manual fridge and the wifi is useless. please fix this bug. using Google Pixel 3 as smartphone.

Same as most others, Android phone connects initially then after looking over the app it says no connection when wifi is still connected. Then it will not reconnect the app to the fridge. I am unable to change the ssid or password. I have tried turning data off, seemed to help with initial connection but then still drops.Waeco Dometic Australia claim not to know of the low rating this app has. Please ring the company so they put some preasure on the app developer to improve the connection issues.

Found the app useful when it worked, would be 4-5 star if it still did work.. It is now worthless because it does not work on Android 10 and Dometic development team seems to be challenged to fix it. Quite obvious by the length of time Android 10 has been released and how long this app has not been compatible that there was a huge lack of foresight and budget planning by Dometic in their technology department. A worthless app should not have the ability to receive one star. Get it together!

Its cool i guess. Makes things convenient for those who may be disabled. This honestly should have just been an app you connect to through bluetooth though. Theres no reason all this wifi nonsense had to be a thing, wifi for a fridge isnt going to allow me to see whats going on with it while im at work so...

App doesn't work. Downloaded to Samsung S10, installs ok and connects wifi to fridge, enter password, then crashes. Thanks for the reply, but it is the same reply that you have been serving up to all customers for a fair while. Fix the app or give us some reimbursement for lost functionality.

This app doesn't work! Like many other reviewers it works at first but then won't go past the 'connection' stage, I am using a CFX 40W with a Pixel 2 phone. I know my phone is working properly, up to date OS and up to date app etc. It's definitely a fault with the app.

Absolutely terrible. The app doesnt work when you have mobile data switched on. I have the samsung s10. The last update i noticed was march this year. Obviously noone cares about this yet they promote the wifi app strongly. Extremely false advertising and misleading. Fix it!

App no longer works. Force closes repeatedly. Uninstalled and reinstalling the app does not help. Appears those of us on Android 10 will have to wait for the provider to update their app. For now I am using an old Note 2 running an OLD version of Android. Fridge is great... app is terrible.

As most have said. Won't connect unless mobile data is off. When you switch it off, app immediately crashes. Was this program actually tested before release? Thankfully this feature wasn't sold to me it even mentioned by the salesman otherwise I'd be really pissed.

For a high quality brand I was expecting seamless integration with the world's most widely used mobile platform but the App doesn't work with Android 10! I just purchased the cfx75 along with my brother and to not have it work with my phone is a massive let down. Please fix it ASAP as I need everything to work. Thankyou
