This App is now a complete fail. I've updated my screen from a Samsung S7 running Android 7 to a Huawei M5 Lite 8 running Android 9. While the App still runs on my old Samsung when I start the App on my Mediapad it claims my Cgo3 camera is an unknown device and the App crashes, even though it shows everything correct in my Network settings. A 3rd party App, Typhoon Camera, connects fine but lacks the Pro settings. Please Yuneec, don't drop us legacy users.
This is the worst app. My phone (Google pixel 2 xl) can connect to cgo3 internet but when I actually open the app to use the steady grip with my phone it says network error and will not work. Since I have had the steady grip I have been unable to use it.
It has become extremely frustrating to use, i have a google phone and after getting the newest update for my phone i havent been able to connect by wifi to my stedycam, i think it is a software update that needs to be made, please let us android users know when the new firmware update is availabl. Thank you for making amazing affordable products, im looking forward to getting my equipment up and running again.
great! but.... it does not have a playback option to watch the video that has been recorded.. it requires you to download the video in order for you to watch the video you've just recorded
I can't update it from the website I can't use the cgo3 app. I had 3 off the q500 now only one of them works. They keep falling from the sky. Now I am afraid to fly them of water, cause I lost one of them like that. It fell in the water.
Come on Yuneec - help us out! I spent good money on the Q 500 because of the Steady Cam. In the last 6 months it has stopped working. Batteries fully charged, app up to date but " Network Error" each time. My phone Moto G5+ with Android 8 is connected to CGO3 via WiFi but still Network Error. Please fix.
This is a sorry excuse for an app. Installed and literally cannot do anything from the home screen. Zero function. What a complete and utterly useless waste of time.
this is an update. I soldered on a new wire for a 3s battery and now it works perectly. the AA batteries don't provide enough power. I noticed in my Wi-Fi I got an rssi of 9 and after the mod I got an rssi of 30. So the closer the rssi is to 100 the stronger the connection.
I have had my Q500 4K for over a year and still have not been able to open the app on my Samsung Tab E with Android 7.1.1. Same with the handheld action cam. Will not work on my tablet. Any suggestions?
Yuneed doesn't support this app nor there products much at all. This app loses video signal a lot. I deleted it and sold my Yuneec drones due to their lack of support or concern.
this app is horrible. I'm not some bot or hater just disappointed in this garbage app. doesn't connect, doesn' stay connected when done.
I can't change my camera to 1080 60fps and it appears not much else works either which is a shame.
Functions absolutely flawlessly using my Huawei P-20 Pro & My Samsung Tablet. Well done developmers. Keep up with the excellent work.

Had major issues with the camera continually disconnecting. Mainly when I connected to the camera through the app, it would drop the wifi on the camera and then you would hear the fan shut off in the camera. Wierdist thing, I replaced the batteries in the steady grip with NiMH recargables, it now works every time. Doesn't seem to make sense but it worked, give it a try! p.s. the batteries I was putting in we're new Energizers. . .
Please Yuneec, I beg you! Improve the connectivity. Or just let us use the camera gimbal without the phone needing to connect to it. It's stupid.. Honestly, why not Bluetooth? It takes forever. And once connection is lost (which happens often and I've tried it with several phones), it's hard to get it back connected. And then the gimbal itself is dumb because it senses new batteries to be old and need charging. I love this product and the quality, but not the ease of use and connectivity. Please give us an update!
I've found a fix for newer versions of Android. Change the WiFi IP settings for your CGO3 network to static. Use the same IP address, DNS, and gateway that was assigned via dhcp. You can find this by short clicking on the WiFi connection before setting it to static. (Mine was 192.168.42.2, but yours may differ) The problem isn't with this app, but the way newer versions of android try to 'help' you by disconnecting from WiFi that doesn't have any Internet.
