ChalkLit
ChalkLit is a free app used by thousands of teachers across India and the world to keep themselves updated of the latest pedagogical techniques and methods to teach complex concepts to students.
ChalkLit also provides both Academic and Non Academic content and if focused to inform teachers about life skills, gender, sustainable development goals, equality and other important constructs which are important for students to know. It aligns to the 21st century skills.
Teachers are using the ChalkLit app to prepare extremely effective and comprehensive lesson plans from the content that has been curated from more than 4000 sources globally including Khan Academy, Meghshala, Classdojo, Khan Academy for Kids ,National Geographic, Diksha, NCERT, SCERT, Bodhaguru, Letstute, Teacher App.
ChalkLit has been developed by the Million Sparks Foundation on the EduPosse platform and uses state of the art technology and is supported by Google.org, Central Square Foundation, PayTM, and Gray Matters Capital
We also enable other partners to use our platform to deliver their content to the teachers of the states that they are working in both in an online and offline model. Our partners include STIR Education, SCERT, SSA, NCERT, NUEPA, Akshara, Lend a Hand, Pratham, Pratham Story Weaver, Kendriya Vidyalaya, CBSE, NCTE, DAV, CIET etc.
We are also working with the National indepedent School Alliance to work with the Affordable Private Schools segment.
We work with the states of Delhi, Goa, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Odisha, and have an active interest from Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana. We have made presentations to the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Shillong, Meghalaya, Sikkim.
We are in conversation with teacher bodies in Ghana, Brazil, Kenya, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan also.

It is very innovative, creative.It is very important and helpful to me. I know something new. It creates interest me. All the sections are helpful. Videos are interesting and innovative. It gives opportunity to learn better and mistake free. This training teaches us how to make a new video using very less props. It teaches how to utilize own way, creativity and preparation and present in front of the audience. It gives us very amazing lessons. I am proud of as a part of this platform .THANKS.
Nice app but some time it lags. so i gave 3 stars to it. After a long days of use I have switched from 3 star to 1star because I am unable to download my certificate. I have completed my training since 35 days but it's still showing that certificate has not yet came. Plz fix the problem.
Very helpful in teaching learning process. Get very innovative ideas for class room teaching.Teachers tool helps a lot to all the teachers in improving their teaching skills. This app saves our time. One can join the training within the app.No need to go to any training centre. No paper is required. It tries to cover each and every problem of the teachers as well as students. It is so designed that one feels certain attraction for this app. This app creates better teachers.
This app has too bad user interface...Once you enter ur details i,e. Employee ID & school ID,there is no damm option to edit it.... I've tried it so many times but to no avail,even customer care services are not responding at all after so many requests through calls and mails. It's just not appropriate and acceptable thing for such an app......too disappointing....too frustrating...
It is a great platform as not only it helps teachers to learn to teach online but also provide various facets of online teaching. Some of the u tube vedios were very informative. However whatever techniques are explained they should be explained on both mobile and laptop. Overall a great learning experience.
Hi team, I had attended the workshop training of Eliminating Corporal Punishment. There were 4 tests associated with this workshop. I had completed the first three excercises. However due to some network related issues i wasnt able to complete the exam and it got submitted automatically and the score eas was zero. I am unable to re appear for the exam. The score for the test is zero. kindly look into this and unblock the final test so that i can reappear for the final exams
It looks like they update it after every week without updation you won't be able to see the new content it's really annoying . Training are good and useful. But app has a lot of problems sometimes it takes a longer period to open up and it frequently hang also.
The interface of this app is extremely poor and slow, the connection with backend needs to be improved along with the interface. Nothing is opening with in this app and for a OTP it's taking oneday along. That's not the way an application should be designed and managed.
It plays a vital role for online teaching in pandemic situation. Over all in one platform, teachers are able to present teaching, edit videos, presentation qualities, etc be done in this app. This app runs well without any barriers. Atlast it's better. That's all. Thank you.
This module has been completed and It is one of the best module to learned very essential things and activities to used in our class room situation,
This app has a lot of bugs and not working properly also I am unable to complete my training because the page is constantly showing"continue reading" even after I have read everything . Kindly help me and your help center service is also not that good they are not taking proper action to solve our problem. I hope you will do something about it as soon as possible. Not at all satisfied by your app😑
Very good for myself and my students as well as my family. It would improve my and my students capacity in their lives when they go in search of their carrier. This will also change the teaching strategy and help them to opt their career. It also improve the learning environment in schools. It also gives much attention about the whole world of education and the students would also recognize their capacity to establish their carrier. I am very happy to be a part of this programme. It is so amazing... And it will help both Students and Teachers in the teaching learning process...It helps the students to concentrate at their lessons...the students involvement in the the teaching learning process will be magical. App is too slow. Page keeps loading and ends with error. It takes infinite time to do a simple task. In training modules, videos don't play despite having latest version of youtube. I'm unable to login from laptop also. Very disappointing.
Chalklit app is a wonderful app. One can use so many activities n strategies to make the students more confident and attentive. Wonderful programme having so many interesting and effective activities to enhance listening and speaking skills . I have a wonderful experience having so many amazing activities . Thanx for providing so many ideas to improve the speaking n listening skills.
The app's interface is extremely slow and it seems the engineering team has hired some extremely cheap developers or maybe the entire app is developed by interns. The app lacks basic design problems and a poorly designed backend communication as well. I read other reviews as well and it is disappointing to see the same problems are faced by many. The app developers are prompt in apologizing for it but it seems they take no action and have no definite engineering sprint plan.
its useful app only whn training is going on. not other uses, not so beneficial like you should giide by diff. techniques, TLMs,methods related to topics we deals in class. Its has a different aspect of understanding child that is appreciable, but being a teacher we have so many challanges we face in our classes or school. It impact on our students sometimes.
I am grateful for such an app that has helped me to improve my skills.It is helpful in honning our skills so that we can teach at the best of our ability. I am happy that I have learnt to add photos at the start and end of a video, to cut, add animations, music and text. It was a wonderful experience. I am sure I will be able to make a video of my own which I can use each students on line or offline. Thanks for the opportunity.
