The idea is commendable but the app itself is quite quirky. Lacks essential features found on the original telegram, too many glitches too. Aside from the app duplicating some of my contacts and renaming others, it prohibits me from taking screenshots🙄 The most annoying is failed calls...when I make a call and the reciever picks, it just says "connecting" then cuts. And when i recieve a call, the app crushes the instant I answer. Y'all gotta get back to the drawing board.

The app is good. But I gave it 3⭐ because of 2 reasons. The first one is when you send a photo(mostly shot by phones) it reduces the quality and this happens at mostly all apps like this one. The second and most important one is it doesn't support invite links which is very important for those of has that has channels. I hope you could fix these issues.

Hello. Telegram X is a good messenger, faster and smaller than the original version, but it has fewer features and does not have a folder between the phone files. It is also compatible with low-end Android. It is also safe and secure and approved and does not have the problems and risks of unofficial versions I suggest you install. Good bye.

I really like the telegram x app. It's a modern chat system, with tons of bells and whistles. The last update caused a huge regression in reliability and performance. It gets stuck in views, eventually requiring a force quit regularly. Luckily the other app is available, so I'll give that a try until this updates again.

I often get errors while trying to send a video. Also viewing videos from YouTube in the embedded player (don't know about other sites) frequently crashes my Pixel 2 XL completely and i get a weirdly looking reboot. Though i see the starting up animation (which lags and flickers a lot) it doesn't ask for SIM PIN. It happens when i tap outside of the player to close it (may happen or may not) or when i press the Open in button (always happens). It all started happening after the last update.

Okay, 2 things. 1: The notifications have to be fixed. I can see from the other reviews I'm not the only one having issues with app notifications just stopping. This is super important for a chat app. Fix it. 2: I've noticed when sharing something into the app from another app, you don't get an option to upload it as a file. This can be a pain because if it is an image, it's compressed instead. This can be worked around, but is an added pain. Please, I want to switch to this fully.

Been using the app for quite some time and ive loved it. Like every app, its got its pros and cons. While it does help a lot with messaging friends and family it auto messages contacts which I'm sure some people want but I don't. That being said, overall, its great. Highly recommended to anyone looking for something other than direct messaging to chat with friends and family. Love the ability to send stickers with a tap of a button.

I love this app, it combines great thing and is way better than other apps made to chat, but there are two things I would improve 'cause I don't like the way it is without those: a better definition of the camera inside the app, because the one it has it takes photos with low quality. The other thing I would totally add is the possibility of making shortcuts from a chat to the home screen of the cellphone. But without pointing out those two things, the app is the best.

The character limit behavior is unacceptable. Many times I have written or edited a message, spent up to a half hour doing so, and then, upon sending it, been met with the error: "400 INPUT_REQUEST_TOO_LONG". TelegramX could place the message back in the message box, copy it to the clipboard, or save it somewhere else. Instead, it simply deletes it permanently. This is unacceptable and not user friendly by design. A second issue is that audio messages are not saved locally. Frustrating 😞

App is pretty nice. 10/10. Two bugs I've found are that when in a call sometimes the hangup button doesn't disconnect the call and I have a force close the app. Second thing is that if you have a gif on your phone and try to send it to anyone it only comes up as an image, with no animation. Otherwise it's perfect.

In the new update the camera that is supposedly better is just horrible. First, it takes a shot after few seconds after you pressed a button, so the picture is blurry. Second it does something horrible with colors. They became very dull and skin color becomes almost blue. You can't even go to previous version of the app, cause it's telling you to update it every time that you open the app. That's just annoying.

This app is fantastic, and definitely an improvement over the base app. However, my only gripe with it is that it isn't consistently updated along with the normal Telegram app and the desktop app, so features like animated stickers, for example, don't work for a while. Updates should be available on all platforms before they're rolled out, am I right?

its a very good app, the best I have tried so far. in my personal opinion, this version is better than original Telegram, the only things I would change are the wallpaper options, I miss the option to create my own designs, and the vibrations, I like to tap on different places in a chat and feel that I'm actually tapping. Those two things are better in Telegram

Performs really well, looks great, (I can't vouch for it's security - arguably the most important feature). But I post today because there are some serious missing features in the app and I see no way to privately offer feedback ... Chat group streams can be very long, and it's great that they are entirely available, but we absolutely need some kind of "bookmarks". If I respond to any message no matter how old, my place in the stream is completely lost. Do y'all use your app?

An amazing, fast, feature packed client. This app can do just about anything you want it to and is great for chats. The only features I wish it had were the ability to like messages and the ability to schedule messages. Also the archived chats from regular Telegram. Both of those could probably be done with bots, but it's always best to have the feature built in to the app itself! Keep up the great work.

Telegram X has some nice adjustments to it compared to the original. One major feature it doesn't have... Add contact to home screen. This is a must for me. And I'm surprised its not ported over. Widgets would be nice also. And, same complaint as with the original, unable to sync contact photos with Telegram. Most my Telegram contacts don't add a photo. I want the photo I've added for them on Telegram.

Animations and looks are a real improvement compared to the original app, there are some options that deserve to be in the other version, but I personally am not fond of the second tab with call history that you can scroll to. In addition to this, Telegram X seems to be slower at sending the push notification with over five seconds of delay sometimes.

Functions like the base telegram app with some added bells and whistles. Unfortunately, there is a notifications glitch that was here before and is still here now. When I receive a message from someone, and there is a previous message received (but unread) it will continuously notify me of the previous message and not the new ones. A bit frustrating

The experience is fluid and battery friendly, instant across web and phone independently. However, there is an issue on the phone with saving media automatically, as I always have to do it manually even though I checked the option in settings. Also, when clicking the attach button in a chat, there is quite a delay there too. I suspect a media problem. You should add a direct share function per contact. Suggestion: Video calls for a future version and the app is complete from my perspective.

Hi! It no longer performs as well as before. It has been lagging for some time and still does not have some of Telegram's capabilities, such as categorizing chats and selecting videos for profiles and masks, which is a surprise! I hope Telegram X solves all these problems with a new update and makes the appearance and user interface a little more beautiful.

It is great but I'm not happy with it due to its inability to categorize chats into folders like how the main app could. I really like the "Messages by [user]" feature, which is the only thing I like about this app and is surprisingly not available in the main app. Other than that, I was not able to scan a QR code from this app to log into another device. Also, videos cannot be previewed, they have to be downloaded fully to be able to open.

This app is a very general and decent one to use for chatting to people anywhere in the world. The calls are typically much clearer than Discord, and I love the fact you can send videos of any size, unlike Discord. The reason it only gets a 3 star is because there's no option to delete/block contacts on the mobile version of the app. It's a hinderance to need to get onto a computer to remove a contact you don't want.

Good app it is. However, I will like some features be added. 1. Let there be an option to translate what's written in other languages aside English, esp in a channel. 2. When conversations are deleted, let it not be like they never existed, in which the messages are deleted without a trace, both from the sender and receiver's ends. Pls do some updates. Thanks.

I actually love this app, but I've given it a low rating because it seems like they've abandoned it. It hasn't gotten an update in 7 months now and keeps falling farther and farther behind the main Telegram app. The list of missing features only grows longer with each update. I wouldn't mind if it had slight delays in getting the new features from the main app, but I consider 7 months with no update unacceptable, quite frankly. :(

I'm experiencing a very weird bug were a contact of mine is duplicated, tells me it's on telegram, when I know the contact in fact IS there, and it then switches the name to "mod####". Now, I really hope security is up date on your end, because it would be a bummer to find out otherwise, and have my device in a vulnerable state for this reason. Also, it's scary! Please look into this, and take it seriously! Thank you!

After the last update, the app got worse. Every time I send a video straight from my camera it aggressively compresses the video and distorts the audio and video. Sometimes the app will freeze as well when trying to send s picture from my gallery or when switching between apps. It's fixed with a simple refresh, but it's just annoying.

Atrocious amounts of spam. Doesn't play GIF's. Otherwise, it's a great app - nice fluid UX, and bug free. Suggestion: please add the option so instead of flat out muting users, we can pool notifications from them (eg. 1 notification for 20 messages that have been sent over two or five minutes instead of your phone going ding ding ding the entire time). This would be good to turn on for those who spam us but we still want to know when they have sent a message

I like using Telegram. I just installed Telegram x, and everything was fine, until I tried to open the app from the message notification... blank chat open with back button. I clicked the button, and the app froze in the menu. I think I go back to the old Telegram. Let me know when final version is out! Good luck
