Quite handy. I'm having an issue adding identified mushrooms to the map. The ones I've identified are not available on the map list and when I try to attach pictures, it just thinks and never adds it. I also wish the identifier portion would include info on the mushroom, not just pictures. Other than those small issues it's been accurate in identifying what I've found in my yard. After identification, users should be able to add information to the database that's missing.

Found some nice field mushrooms. Those are pretty much the easiest thing to find and identify, bit it did it very well, seemingly narrowing it down when it scanned the scales on the stalk and got the colour of the underside. It appears to do is job. The only thing I did to be extra sure it's take a spore print off the mushroom I picked so I was 100% sure. I would say though, if you're getting more adventurous than I did, do not fully rely on this app, only use it as an aid. Too many lookalikes.

It's findings aren't always 100% accurate but it's pretty good! And, if it's wrong, you usually find the correct species in it's list of look-alikes! Been using the app for quite some time now. It's like going to a friend who knows a lot about mushrooms but like anybody, isn't perfect. And that's okay because the app itself tells you to double check it's identifications with a professional as the creator(s) know it's not perfect. And that my friends, is respectable..

Suggesting a species for someone, the text is to small. I often select one I dont want to, and I cant change it. Add a may be not just yes or no. Lack of edible mushrooms as well. Give instructions to people taking pictures to show a picture of the substrate and or tree it is found on. A lot of bad pictures. Bring back the market place that was cool. Make the quiz harder.

Although I often struggle to identify the mushroom with examples provided by automatic recognition, it has helped me identify some. One addition I think would really improve results, would be to add the option to select the size in the preliminary questions before scanning, or possibly filters to narrow the results. I was looking for an app similar to iNaturalist to use at my workplace for help with identification. I figured I'd give this a try as it had a lot of downloads and high rating.The overall ascetic could definitely use some work. Seems very bland and dull. Other than that, the recognition system itself could use some tweaking. I imputed a type of coral fungus and was presented with over 75% of cap and stem species. Great idea but needs a lot of work for sure.

Way better and more accurate than other similar apps for fungi identification. Photo results are not always 100% accurate, which is understandable as nature pics can be very noisy, but you will probably find the right one among the other suggestions if you scroll down the list of alternatives.

Incredibly thorough app. More than happy to put up with tasteful ads for the quality of the scanning, database & camera. Wish there was a little more info on each mush species, in a perfect world, but this is something one can look up independently. Very effective. Love this app.

This app keeps novices in the dark on best practices to identify because it doesn't ask the right questions and doesn't provide features descriptions. It is bad at identifying, but can still be useful sometimes just for getting a list of suggestions. Another, "Mushroom App" by Vocom, has a working identification key (great in all ways except they forgot spore color) and good descriptions (but less species than this one)... Combine the two apps and you have a working system.

I like this app quite a lot. I had it years ago and now it is remarkable, I like the interface and the identification from pictures is the best I've seen. One suggestion is to show percentage confidence for those picture identifications, that is really useful with machine learning results.

With the help of this very easy to navigate app in the last 2 years downloading it and using it as my "go to" I have learned a treasure trove of detailed and very well photographed information and because of this one app i have grown from a one month out of an entire year "morels in season" enthusiast ; with one single kind of fungii to locate and harvest (if you're lucky) very well informed mushroom hunter and now I can storage *year round* with confidence . Thank you

The Mushroom Identification [by photo] feature is still in Beta, but it does an impressive job (which is not always correct, but again, it's still in Beta, so that's expected). All-in-all, it has GREAT promise & potential, and I look forward to participating in the evolution of this app as it grows and matures. Great job!

Does not fit on my screen and there are no settings to adjust the appearance. It looked promising but I can't use it. I have Android 6 on a Samsung Galaxy Folder. I use large text globally because I don't see very well but an app that takes so much screen space should have its own display options.

I'm just a novice mushroom enthusiast and this app is fantastic while I am out exploring or hiking. I like that you can provide multiple pictures. Occasionally the results are way off and ads can be frustrating! It was quick and easy to use!

I imagine this app is a labor of love and appreciate that it exists to help me identify my mushrooms. Even if it may be incorrect and collecting more data to learn, i still find it helpful. It gives me the mushroom vocabulary to search and learn on other academic sites, too. It's easy enough to use, even when it gets glitchy.

I'm still checking, but my first impression is that this is a powerful and extremely effective app. It's easy to use and may help identify new or undiscovered mushroom species. Additional information, latin names, growing tips and habitats of the shrooms would be a great help to newbie shroom hunters, the ones who don't have access to razor back truffle hounds.

Very quick (as long as you can connect to the internet) and accurate although, I am absolutely going to say don't rely on it's accuracy with regards edibility unless you are certain! I found the pictures so much better than drawings. Bravo.

The app was working alright for the first week I got it, very minimal to no ads whatsoever. Now I subscribed for a yearly membership and I have been unable to register or even make an I.D.; error: "connection to internet lost" I uninstalled and reinstall the app I've cleared my phones cache data and I am able to use the internet with other apps please fix!!

Tested it with some mushrooms I grew. Very accurate so long as you get good angles. I'll probably keep identifying mushrooms I know to be a certain species if it helps the database :) Keep up the amazing work! Out of most tools I've tried this one shows the most promise. Novice mycologists can and should use this paired with google and identification chart/kits.

Having discovered a new mushroom on my property, I came upon this app and decided to give it a try. Very user friendly, and I was successful. It took a bit of time to review several possibilities, but then, with mushroom identification, it takes patience and close observation and study. This is a great app, if you are willing to do some work. (A rare concept these days).

I've tried 2 - one was spot on but I dont think the other was correct. However, the potential for this app is great and I will keep using it becuase there is a real lack of identification tools out there and this will be brilliant when it works with more accuracy

it's a great app! very informative. still needs some work, and will probably never be perfect but there is so much diversity in mushrooms that I don't think it's possible to achieve perfection. (needs a better image search function)

I provided 3 images of a porcini, the search/scan results were not even close. Given how easy it is to recognize this type of mushroom (even Google recognized it), I would not trust any of the app's results.
