Change Detection - Monitor webpages in background
Use cases:
- Teacher says grades will be published "soon", but no one knows what "soon" means and you are tired of reloading.
- You are working with a server and wants to know the result from a request, periodically.
- You are waiting for updates on an Exam, like if something was postponed or updated.
It also also showcases all the Android Architecture Components working together: Room, ViewModels, LiveData, Paging, WorkManager and Navigation.
When a change is detected on background, a notification (alert) is displayed. It currently doesn't work with login pages, but contributions are welcome. There are 3 viewers for the app, a text viewer that compares website history in a git-like way, with line by line added/removed and green/red, a pdf viewer which displays multi-paged PDFs on a carousel like interface, inspired by Lottie's open source sample app, and an image viewer, similar to the Pdf viewer, but with support for tiling (which allows heavy pictures to load faster and with lower memory).

Great app and amazing developer! ... also I just sent an email requesting a lower interval check time option, and within minutes I had a personal response back explaining why there is not... until recently it was a pretty strict Android restriction to preserve battery, but he states that there have been some recent changes that make some workarounds possible, and he will get to that when he can. Most of us have many demands on our time, but I will be patient and look fwd to a future update.
The app is really very good and it highlights each minute difference. However the only concern which i have is that iam not able to get notifications on my phone's notification bar. It notifies me only when I run this app. It will really be greatful if u can help me to sort this small issue. Rest the app is excellent and a great effort from the developer. Thanks
Its ok but there is a better free one out there, I think it would be nice have 1 minute interval checks, set a % of website change for notifications, and also have a very long vibration or lights flashing when there is a change to be notified, I like to use these apps to be notified while I'm sleeping if a stock I follow issue a press release on their website but I also don't want to leave my ringtone so loud at night. Thank you for trying I hope there will be an improvement soon.
Genius. I'm not a developer but have been trying to accomplish something like this with rss but not getting success. This basically does exactly what is advertised and allows updates of site content that has changed since last visit without having to convert xml to rss feed through opml converter ... Also like the intuitive interface and if site copied it automatically being inserted with plus sign selection.
Good App, the only problem I have is that I keep missing the trigger notifications bacause the app does not provide a good and flexible way to deliver trigger notifications. In addition as a value-added to the App; It would really help if the App would allow you to select a trigger section on the website to fixate your triggers on; nevertheless, it does detect when any changes are done to the web page. Exactly what i needed. A few fearure requests. 1. a sample or test of what an alert looks like. 2. i get so many chat and other alerts already, i really want this to be unmistakable, to stand out and be un-ignorable... even if do not disturb is active.
Very beautiful interface and easy to use. However, I would like a shorter refresh option (like 1 minute) and a way to accept cookies for websites that don't load without accepting them.
Wish it had at least 5 min interval. Also, how does it notify you? A sound? Vibrates? There's no settings to set alerts. Beautiful interface just a bit lacking for now.
It's good but it won't work with websites that have the time of the day or real-time visitor counters. If you could add an optional regex field that would make it only check for changes in the result of the regex on the source of the website it would make it a lot more useful.
This Dev is top notch! The app is beautiful. The detection is solid. I had to reach out to Bernardo to understand how a site is not work. His response was super, he explained the technology and why the site doesn't play well .
Bernardo, the developer, should be an example to all others. He worked diligently with me to isolate and correct a problem that only 2 people were having. I can't say enough good things about his work ethic and how much I appreciate him getting it going.

Can you add the interval as low as 5-10 second please thn it will be very helpful. I didnt have any battery concern i just need low check interval.
Does the job just fine, but shortest interval is 15 minutes. Not very useful.

Please add shorter checking intervals. Sometimes the things update and then get deleted shortly after

Would not recommend, generates lots of notification spam that effectively amount to false positives. I want the app to stay silent unless a meaningful change had occurred. In reality, I notified all the time just to say it checked and no update was detected. Furthermore, there was no way I could see to restrict what's being compared. These seem like fixable shortcoming, but in its current incarnation, it's not usable.
