It has potential, but has issues. I would love the option to see what the run will look like on the On Demand and Live runs without having to sign up or 'start' the run. It would just be better for planning/time management. I've also had issues on pace/ distance being different from my Garmin. Lastly, when you finish a run both On Demand or Live, I assume while it is 'calculating' it stalls out. I have to force close and then it works. I really do think that it has the potential to be great.
free workouts are nearly impossible to find and the only 2 I found were walking workouts. am I the only one who wants to get a good feel for the app before agreeing to pay $20 a month for it?? there's not even a free trial so you basically have to purchase a membership sight unseen. there also aren't any good filtering options to find workouts by time, intensity, etc. you just have to scroll to manually search for something that is appealing to you.
it's a great concept but I decided not to to renew my subscription since their data isn't accurate. I wear a Fitbit so I always know my pace and mileage but during live runs I get different stats. At the end I can see the map of my run and it's very different than the run recorded by the Fitbit App. On Charge all the corners get cut so I seem twice as slow. Possibly it's just an Android issue but as it is I don't see the point of using the app. Also, please have more interesting music.
This is a temporary review. the tracker was .3 miles off on a known route. When your doing a live benchmark with a coach that's quite a bit. Hopefully it's a one time fluke. I'll change if it gets more accurate. Second run and it's even worse. 3.25 on my watch and a known route. 2.07 on the app. If it wasn't included in my coaching package I would be done with it.
When open stuck on main screen. Nothing happens.
I love this app!! I run 2 or 3 times a week and would love to get faster but always end up running tempo everywhere, this app stops all that (which I can't seem to do on my own) it's easy, you just do what your told. Theres something really special when you hear them say your name and update you on your stats for the first time it's great to know the coach is watching haha. Only problem for me is the time difference ( app is from usa) so you cant get a early run in so I now run after work.
Charge Running is the absolute best running app out there. I've tried many many running apps and none come close to Charge. The live runs are awesome. The Coaches are amazing. I fell in love with Charge on the very first day. I will never try another running app again. Charge is the only app that has gave me the motivation and confidence. You will not be disappointed with Charge!!
Love the app but like a few others it doesn't have what the apple app has. Otherwise would recommend this app to anyone just starting out or if you've been running for a while. Both live and on demand runs are good so you can have a set program to run anytime you want.
awesome app! I have tried so many running apps, and none of them have kept me motivated like charge does. the live coaching from real trainers is totally insane, and changes running for me. NPR's my 1 mile race with the very first experience. great job charge!
This app is a great concept if I were actually able to use it. I was not allowed to utilize any of the content during the free trial, so I bit the bullet and paid for a subscription. My card has been charged, but I am still not able to sign up for a run. Nothing but a headache since downloading.
Love this app and the coaches (mostly). They are great at encouraging you to do your personal best and its not about comparing yourself to others or "winning". Its all about growing and improving and I love that. Only complaint is I can't stand running with one of the coaches (Justin H.) because he always seems condescending and annoyed by participation in the chat or questions. If you are annoyed by your job, get a different one and don't take it out on the customers.
I love this app, however, very disappointed that the android version lacks all the cool, fun, techy stuff the iphone has. Even with the update, no warm up videos, no additional data, no new look.
I signed up for a 14 day trial and decided to get it a try. I am not really into these type of apps for my training so I decided to decline. I was hit with a $120.99 charge (no pun) yesterday! Also, the app does not make it easy to cancel. This is no way to attract a potential customer. No response yet to my emails either.
Great platform to connect and run with a global community of runners while getting live feedback from qualified coaches. All that topped with great music. Love the app and what chage running is doing for runners across the globe.
I really cannot give it a rating because it won't work. Everytime I open the app it has to close. I did got through all the steps to sign up for an account because I wanted to do the Jeff Galloway free 5k on 2/21/21. I have installed and uninstalled twice to get it too work. So congratulations to your marketing! You got all my information and I got a non-working app.
Love this app! Before this app, I never thought I would be motivated enough to run almost every day. Since joining charge, I've run more in the last month than I have in the last year, and that's with up to 15K races! If you need good motivation to run, this is the app that will do it!
Its supposed to be for live coaching to your pace but the paces are never accurate for Android. Treadmill is even worse. They also have now doubled their prices and are increasing the price for those locked into a contract or they lose their already contracted for services. Shady business practices. That coupled with additional in app purchases, you're better off with Peloton or Openfit for real live coaching and trainers who care about their members. Less glitches too.
Easy to download and easier to put into use without complications. I love listening to advice that the coach gives during the live.
I didnt even give this APP a chance. I installed it last night with plans of runn8ng sometime this morning but the amount of NOTIFICATIONS that i have been getting ever since installing it has caused me to uninstall it. Every hour??? Really? I was annoyed before even starting.
In my experience, i think the app offers quite a bit and has real strengths in variety, supportive network of people and flexibility.
Update: they also refuse to make even the most superficial show of solidarity with the Black lives matter movement. Toxic to the core. // great idea when it works, but there is limited functionality on Android. They have no problem charging full price for a fraction of the experience and blaming it on user error. Be prepared to overtrain and camp out in their Facebook group for hours a day if you want them to value you as a customer.
Easy to use, excellent routines. If you don't have a ton of time to think up routines and want a great workout, this is the app for you.
This app is great for runners. The coach talks through things, works to keep you motivated and reminds runners of proper form. The music is great and interaction with other runners is motivating. It's horrible running alone. Charge makes you feel like your running with a group. It just makes running fun!
