Good, I can program it the way I want. Would like to see a reboot function on it though, why it this not an option? Faster functions and menus would help too. Needs to be more clear on the program name that it is using, not the generic number that it gives. On that note, would like to rename the programs also, so that I can charge different battery loads and different battery types without having to guess. It could go a long way to being better, especially for the premium price of the hardware
Just purchased 10 of the Summit 2 chargers today for a fleet. Not a single one will stay connected to the app. I get to the screen where it says its storing system control profile and it jumps back to the main page and says no chargers found. All are boxed up and going back. Changing to a different brand.
I initially had the same problem about not being able to connect to the charger via Bluetooth. If you're connecting directly to the batteries, connect your positive first. As you connect your negative, make sure the charger posts with all 3 lights on (green, yellow, red) and then turning off. Also make sure they stay that way too as you tighten the nut. If the lights come back on as you're tightening, then start over. After I did this the app worked fine for me.
Lithium support is severely lacking. Recently starting using summit 2s in lithium applications and the 22227 algorithm has some demons. Bluetooth connectivity becomes shotty at best, have to disconnect DC power multiple times and try to connect. Sometimes it will connect, other times it won't. It's one thing for me a as a dealership to deal with these issues, but my end users are not tech savvy enough to address these charging issues on their own.
For most of the day yesterday the app connected to the battery pack. Last night it stopped connecting. The charger will show up in the app, but when I click it to connect, the lights on the charger flash, and then the app loses the charger connection. Multiple reboots, unplugged charger multipke times, uninstalled and reinstalled app. July 14, 2022:. The issue was with the hardware... I have improved my rating accordingly. Would be nice to have state of support for LifePO4 batteries.
I had trouble with the app and charger when I bought a used 42Vdc EZGO/Western cart. With regard to the app the blue tooth connection is slow. You need to let the app finish the task before trying to go to the next task it will lock up quite often. The charger needs to be plugged into the cart for the connection to work. Sometimes it takes a few tries for the app to connect. With regard to the charger I contacted Lester service via email. Bill responded the same day and sent me a service bulletin for a 42Vdc cart system to configure the charger for the correct battery and system profiles using the app. The service manual recommends plugging the ac in first then the cart next. To get the correct profiles into the charger I had to disconnect the ac and leave the charger plugged into the cart. The app works well now and the charger is charging correctly. My advice is patience and contact Lester's service when problems arise.
I cannot get this POS app to connect to the charger. Tried all the fixes I can think off, multiple phone reboots, disconnecting the charger to clear the on board memory, disable and enable Bluetooth on the phone, pairing and not paring with the charger... uhg. If I wanted a blinky light charger I would have bought one. Now I don't know the condition of my batteries, whether the right profile is enabled, or if the thing is otherwise working properly. SOMEBODY needs to fix this NOW.
Can't connect or stay connected Received my Summit II, connected it to my EX-GO 36 V and it began to charge. Downloaded this app, opened it up couldnt found any chargers. Went into Android Bluetooth which found it and became paired. Then tried disconnecting the DC plug and reinserted the plug retried connecting and it worked, for a bit then disconnected. Tried to reconnect and it couldnt find a charger. Had to do the wholeDC plug thing over. Tried reinstalling the app but nothing.
Just terrible ver 1.1.9. Do not buy. Power light is on. No flashing lights for BT. Charger shows up in Bt menu. Doesn't charge 2nd battery. You have to connect the charger to the golf cart for BT lights to come on but still won't connect yet it sees the charger. Worthless. Scanning. Sees the charger. Trying to connect then goes back to scanning. How is Lestet supposed to fix this with a phone call? Still won't charge second battery. I'm an Android user.
The app works really well for me. I have approximately 7 chargers where I work that use this system quite well. I just wish that that there was a button to reboot the charger on the dashboard. Other than that I feel the app works really well.
worst app ever. I want to return charger. Bluetooth only connected once and will not connect again. Charger does charge golf cart batteries but bluetooth and app are complete waist of time and effort. Why even have feature if it does not work. sounds like scam to get me to buy your product. Next charger I buy will not be a lester if you're going to run a scam like this. You need to fire all the IT guys over this. waist of money. so glad there are other brands of golf cart battery chargers.
A little bit difficult to get connected. But once it does it seems to work. Every time you start the app you have to go through the connection process again. Kind of a pain. I do like the amount of information presented.
App does not connect to the charger. I want to return the charger!! It wants me to reinstall the app which I've done on two different phones. Charger will not charge till linked to bluetooth, both the app and charger are a joke. Tech support from the company I purchased the charger was just insulting emails asking if I had read the manual.DONT WASTE UR $$ on this charger!!!
This app is works pretty well. It is so much easier to set the charger algorithm using an app over bluetooth compared to other brands in the past.
Doesn't work. It shows the charger when scanning. It tries to connect then resets back to the scan screen after it connects.
Good app for the Lester Charger but needs work. Stays connected when I back out of the app and won't connect or find any chargers unless I "close all" apps on my Samsung S9+ phone.
Im going direct to battery terminals (onboard fixed setup). Got it to connect by waiting to connect neg wire (go ahead and connect pos) til i had both the unit and the app connected
Worked yesterday when I bought the Charger. Now it will not connect. Bluetooth is paired, all lights are blinking, but it will not finish connection or display data.
Your review fixed the issue I was having connecting to the battery charger (30400 ,1050W, Series 2) via Bluetooth. Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review that actually helps.
Horrible software, will not connect with a single charger when using Samsung s10 android phone. I am a repair shop and this is the most difficult software to use in my diagnostic tool box!
Previously rated this a low rating. With their customer service, I was able to see I was doing it wrong. Great product with lots of information. Great customer service also!!
This app is officially useless. It used to work perfect in previous versions. The app will not stay connected to the charger.
Too few battery and charger model options. Some alert about stopping charge to update data. Voltmeter is far better idea.
Doesn't work on first try. Finally got the charger to acknowledge the app. but could not get any readings to show up.
So I have to download ONE AT A TIME like 200 profiles for the "wizard" to find the right profile? Why can't you download them all at once? Why have I spent hours of my life on a high end charger I can't tune to my batteries? Isn't this WHAT you do?? Pissed
Don't buy the charger , first one failed in 2 years and the second was broke from the unboxing , as well as the app never works , meaning you can't ever set it up for your batteries in the first place. Complete trash
