Charity Miles Walk&Run Tracker

Charity Miles is a run, bike and walk tracker app that tells you how many miles you've covered during your workout. Plus, Charity Miles also earns money for charity on your behalf for every mile you move, via brand workout sponsors like Humana, Johnson & Johnson and Chobani!
We're proud to say that, so far our members have earned over $2 million for charity by recording over 40 million miles, just by using our app as their running, biking and walking distance tracker!

Look no farther than our running and walking app for your fitness motivation. Charity Miles can help you achieve your goals, plus make a positive impact on the world around you!

Team up with your friends or join up with other members on official teams, and for more workout motivation, tune into the running, biking and walking tracker leaderboard! It's our way of encouraging our members to challenge one other and make a bigger impact, together.

This fitness challenge term (June 1, 2016
- May 31, 2017), we will be paying our sponsorship pool (currently $500,000) to our charity partners in proportion to the miles done for each charity.

But we're not just about earning money for charity. Because moving with purpose changes us from within. It changes the way we see the world, and all the small decisions we make every day. All those decisions add up to impact that is far more transformational than money.

Our members and teams don't just donate to charities, but earn funds for their chosen charities by getting in shape, step by step! Even if you're already using a fitbit or other activity tracker, you can still use our walking tracker app to earn money for charities and do more with your steps!

We'd love to have you on our team and encourage you to get active and help people. Anyone can use Charity Miles, anywhere, whether on a walk to church, running a 5k race or even just taking the pup for a block-long dog walk. This app literally became unusable. Been using a long time back when the app used to show actual $ raised with each workout. Have had crashing issues over the past week where I finish the workout and the app somehow closed/crashed part way through, so my full workout doesn't show up. Uninstalled and reinstalled app, and now I can't login via Facebook - get a "Feature Unavailable. Facebook login is currently unavailable for this app." Can't login and can't use.

Is not an accurate calculation of your miles. Does not always run in the background. Constantly glitches and freezes. Extremely frustrating and it has gotten worse over time. Disappointed.

Generally awesome, I have been using this app for years. You record your exercise and chose the Charity. Then Sponsoring companies pay the charity for the miles you achieve. Simple, but effective way to make a big impact in our world! There used to occasionally be extra competitions and incentives which are great too!

Broken for years and never fixed. Obviously designed by an incompetent person. Last update broke this fully. Doesn't even load. Other people state the same. How can this not be tested? I'd give it - 100 stars if I could.

I couldn't sign in to Strava because I joined Strava through Google, and the Charity Miles app doesn't comply with Google's secure browsers policy. Red flag.

I just biked what I know to be 2+ miles because I've walked the same route using a Fitbit and Charity Miles didn't record any of it! So, I tried again using the exact same route and, again, nothing! I biked nearly five miles in twenty minutes and I have nothing to show for it. This isn't the first time this has happened either. I walked the same route three days in a row but it only counted a streak of two days. This app used to work! It's such a good concept but it fails to deliver.

I love how I can give back just by walking, running, biking, driving. However, the app often glitches saying it cannot find the current charity or account. I would love this to be fixed as well as an automatic feature that stops running the current activity because if you forget to stop it letting it run or accidentally close out the app, it won't save. Other than that, this app is fantastic and a great, easy, convenient way to give back. 👍🏼

Not accurate. It doesn't do anything (on my phone anyway) to detect motion. It's just timed. So, if you tell it you're going for a walk but just sit there, it racks up mileage you didn't walk. Worse, even if you are walking or running, it adds mileage much too fast, as if you're an Olympic sprinter. With motion detection, as in Google Fit and other apps, this would probably be very useful, but it isn't a good app yet.

I'd love to give this app 5 stars, but I can't. The concept is amazing and I've been using the app for years without any issues. Now, I can't get it to give me an accurate calculation of my miles. I ran a half marathon in Waco last Sunday and it only gave me .110 mile of credit, it was so frustrating. Nothing has changed on my end Samsung Galaxy S7, current android operating system and my fitbit is working just fine so it's not my phone GPS either. I have uninstalled & reinstalled 4 times now.):

The app records how many miles you walk, run or bike, then the miles are donated to the charity you pick. Sounds great. It's not accurate..I walk 5 miles and it records 7. But that doesn't bother me, because I do so much more than when I have the app running. My main problem with the app is that it doesn't save your distance if you accidentally close it. So you can walk 7 miles, open your email or camera, close all apps, and your 7 miles is gone. Arrgghh.

I enjoy walking for charity, and like that there are so many charities to choose from. There is an issue, however, with the date being completely inaccurate and as a result, my streak is constantly showing as 0 days, and my steps walked refresh in the middle of the day. It's a whole day behind and there is no way for me to adjust it. That is frustrating. I would like the date to be accurate.

Love the app and all the good it does. But I am constantly losing miles because the app closes on its own. I will be 2 or 3 miles in, check the app and everything is working fine. Then when I finish, i go to save but when I click the app from my open windows it reads "recovering workout" and then resets to 0.00! I lost an entire marathon because of this. Would definitely rate 5 stars otherwise. Great selection of charity partners and the group feature is really useful!

The info on the profile page isn't updating (ex. Total miles/sessions, history graphs, activity). The main page shows my steps accurately, as I think it's pulling from Google Fit, but it doesn't match the profile page. I've been clicking the notification to log my miles but nothing's happening anymore. Only seemed to work for the first week. And there's nothing to confirm how much I've raised. I think the app needs some work.

The app is okay, except my workouts often get erased. I put my phone in my pocket during a bike ride. After I'm done and I open the app, the workout gets reset, and all my progress isn't tracked. The app would be better if it could automatically sync workouts to the app, onstead of waiting for the "Finished" button. It would also be nice to have Fitbit integration (directly, not through Strava).

This app consistently doesn't pick up an accurate mileage especially when doing an outdoor bike ride. I took a bike ride that should have been approx 3 miles; it had registered .04 miles! Even after I contacted the company and, at their direction, downloaded an additional GPS app, the accuracy isn't consistent. Sometimes it's very accurate. Too bad, as it's a great concept and I love that my efforts benefit charity. I'll continue using it. I appreciate what they're doing. Hope it gets better.

I love the concept but it seems buggy. Earlier i went to the zoo to try out the app for the first time. It immediately started jumping up in miles even though i was still standing still. About two hours later i checked it and it said i had gone 2 miles in 2 hours. About 30 minutes later i checked it again and somehow the time had changed to 17 mins and my miles dropped to 0.1 so i gave up and just ended the walk.
