Chatbooks

Although the idea is great, so far working on my first book of my year long subscription has been a nightmare!!! The app hardly ever works for me, has a tons of problems and when I contact the company it takes forever to hear back from them. Now I'm finding out that all my photos will be printed by date taken, and not in the order I spent forever putting them in. I'm really hoping I LOVE the book, cause so far this has been a terrible experience.

The app has a few issues like if you upload a photo & then edit it in your phone gallery and try to re-upload the app wont do it unless you delete the original photo. And in general it runs a little slow and has random flaws, I've had to re-sign in multiple times after it kicked me out. Honestly the website is much better either.

I wish I had been able to create a book before purchasing a subscription, if I had I would NOT have bought the subscription. The app is not intuitive at all. I couldn't figure out how to invite others to collaborate until I clicked a bunch of different things and stumbled upon the link. It also auto deletes photos from the month album if you add more than 30, and I can't add photos directly from my gallery. I just sent my first book to print, so we'll see what the end product looks like.

The product is adorable, I've been making books to chronicle the first year of my son's life. But making the book is a nightmare. The app is connected to my photos and my Google account but getting the pictures into the app is nearly impossible. I can take a picture and it'll take days to update in the app so I can add it into the book, and trying to get pictures from a Google photo album, forget it. Some sort of update needs to be made to get pictures into the app more smoothly.

Love these books! I did a monthly book for my daughter up until her 1st year. I thought I would stop after the year but I love the idea of creating memories for my baby and being able to write a caption for every picture that I'm still doing them 😅. The process is also a breeze, you just select 30 pictures every month, send them to print and in a few weeks you receive your book! Customer service is amazing! Every question or concern I have, they take care of everything right away!

I had to contact Cust Svc a few times for help with the titles on the cover and spine. Also, the feature to delete unwanted photos doesn't work very well. But, the Cust Svc is great. They got right back to me.

Chatbooks is a great app for ordering high quality custom pictures, except that it's an absolute pain to go through the actual process. I had issues with the app not opening properly, then certain pictures weren't able to be cropped.

Very difficult app to use. The app has glitches when you try to add/delete. It is hard to see a small screen for photos. Wish I could do this on a computer. Does not connect well with Google photos.

Says various sizes are available for canvas wall tiles, but then only will give you a 10x10. Says 8x8 or 8x10 should be available on app but Website only says 8x10 or 10x10. Website says accessories can be purchased on app only but nothing is listed. It is hard to grow a busisness with so many inconsistencies. Pictures are hard to adjust. Android app updated but it is still not mobile friendly...words overlapping words and the point of an app is supposed to be mobile friendly. No purchase yet.

The app does not work well. I was unable to access the majority of my photos, which is the entire point of a photo book. I'm not sure if it has to do with having an android, but I've never had a problem with any other apps like this one. Great concept, but they need to fix the issues. Based on other reviews, many others are having the same problem. Would not recommend.

I love the books but the app is lacking. Takes forever to sync pics, recently hasn't uploaded 17 pics after several days. Let's me click send to print but then doesn't actually send the book to print, so not sure what to do

I love the idea of this app, but creating the book is a nightmare. It takes ages to upload some of my photos, even though they are in the same format as the rest of them. It's frustrating when it takes hours to create a book that should take much less time.

I love Chatbooks! I've had an account for years, however I'm finding the app extremely glitchy lately. It doesn't stay updated with my Instagram account and when I attempt to add in photos from my phone gallery it doesn't even show all the photos I have stored on my phone. CS help is great! Unfortunately, weeks after my 1st review, I can't even log into the phone app. Very frustrating. Will try to finish my last book and then delete account.

Good app when it works. Love the books. Customer service is always nice and helpful. Wish there was a way to do more than one album for the same month. I also don't understand the fees. You get charged monthly, which I thought was the price for 1 book. Except I also get charged when I print a book. So it ends up costing $32 a month. That's pretty expensive.

It has been nothing short of amazing. Support and help came readily and the agents serving my purchase have been totally responsive amd prompt in addressing my concerns. It's the excellent service and product quality that keep me coming back for more! Thanks a million, Chatbooks, for adding joy to my family through the memories we can keep in these books!

Chatbooks has been such a simple and fun way to document my child's first year of life. My parents live far away, so I always purchase a second monthly to send to them! The customer service is also wonderful! I had a payment issue and they helped me resolve it immediately! Couldn't recommend Chatbooks enough.

This app was great my 1st 3 books, but recently the app keeps closing when I select which book I want, and when I finally get past that part, it won't let me scroll past 6 months in my Facebook photos. I'm done with this app. Wasted hours trying to get it to work the way it did the 1st time I used it 😒

Each time I try to get started on making a chapbook the app. will close and a little window pops up and say there is a bug try clearing the cache. I cleaned the cache and it continues to close.

Love the program, but frustrated with the app. It can be difficult to move pictures around, sometimes slow and other times very sensitive. Sometimes (often) when I want to make a collage page, it won't load all the single pictures to choose from. It also shuts down everytime I try to check on an order. 5 stars for Chatbooks; 3 stars for the app.

Took me 3 hrs to complete my first book. I'm 62. AFTER I got 30 pictures together the app wanted to send to print. I still needed to add captions and crop some photos.

Super easy to create monthly books straight from your Google photo library! My kids love getting a new book each month. The app is easy to use and don't take a lot of time.

Love the product...but I found the app a bit confusing. It worked well when I loaded images from my phone to the app, then EDITED my project on my desk top.

1st time user and I am older. So I think this app was not as user friendly as I have found other apps to be, but I also think in time as I use it I will get better acquainted with it and this little chatbook app is such a great idea. I love the idea! I have my order in. I can't wait to get my little book back 🤗❤️❤️❤️

There was no place to put in the promotion code, there was no way to go back and edit a gift subscription ( typed wrong email address) and overall it's not user friendly.

This app won't let you do anything. When you add pictures to your book they get all out of order, trying to change your cover photo is a joke. The app doesn't work, don't waste your time.

I LOVED this till last week when they updated. Now I can't get to the pic very easy, will prob cancel both subscriptions

I feel like this app has really only one job, but that is apparently one job too many. I love my Chatbooks, but the app is SO glitchy, it makes it almost impossible to use.

Photos are good quality & monthly books are uniform. They are easy to flip thru & fun to share!

The books are beautiful the app is super easy to use and the books are quite affordable compared to other photo services.
