The sound quality is somewhat muffled, and calls dropped quite regularly. But, Rebtel did reply to my problem, so have to give credit for that. Rebtel is nowhere near the clarity of a normal call, but is way cheaper than a normal call, if you phone overseas. Can work for informal calls, but will be frustrating for important calls. When I used them a year ago, calls did not get dropped. Lately more of a problem.
I recommend Boss revolution + Google voice for international calls. Their apps are simple to use for users but not Rebtel. I downloaded a week ago and I find it hard to use when I call for support their response came after 2 days, until now I had my 60 minutes I bought within their app couldn't use it and it's still active what a heck!?? You guys need to fix your app for sure - don't recommend it to no one! #2538661
Avoid the monthly credit plan. The unused credits don't get carried over to the next month. Either pay as you go or switch to a different app. I'm considering the latter. Sometime the renewal occurs but it shows that you have half of the credit available.
The app logged me out and didn't allow me log in anymore. server error. It is not in my character to rubbish people's effort but this is the second time I am trying to use the spp and its not working. The support system is lazy and unprofessional then can't resolve simple issues and never got back to me to update me on the situation of my account. In a nutshell, this is a rubbish app as far as I am concerned. Thank you
Asked for credit card number for free plan, I entered zeros & they blacklisted my number and I can't use my account because I 'violated their terms and conditions' by entering zeros. I can't delete my account either. I mailed them twice. They expressed their inability to do anything to solve this. Call quality is good but that's irrelevant now.
I keep getting error message, "sorry there was an error connecting to rebtel's server" deleted the app downloaded again...same error..so frustrating. And this happened when i was trying to load some minutes. Now am back to square one can't get my number verified all i get is error message .
have been using app for last 1 year, so far experience is fine. app isn't stable enough for continous use, but good if you just open when needed. the compatibility with Bluetooth devices is major issue, cause of this problem, im not able to use it while driving.
This is a perfect application for people who have international transactions and are considering low-budget international calls. My first call was even free and problem was settled in just a few minutes. This is just too good to be true (IT IS REALLY THAT MIND-BLOWING) but big props to this app's developer/s!
It is not clear why the app needs access to my phone, and call logs. In fact, it is not clear why the app is needed at all if it does not provide a virtual phone number. Apps like Google Voice, Skype, or Viber do a better job
I've always gotten good quality on my calls to Liberia with Rebtel and the price is reasonable. Good service.
Awful service from this company. Downloaded and tried to use the app and got a could not connect to server error. Logged a support request and after 4 days of no fix I asked them to delete my account. Got an email back saying they had frozen my account due to a breach of terms and conditions.
Call quality isn't the best, however the prices for International calls are very competitive - cheap. Sometimes they even have special offers, that allow you to call for free.
=>ans for their response, I didn't subscribed unlimited plan, automatically made it itself. I used once. they said they can't refund because used once. Highly recommend to beware of there free trial. I join and add credit info to use and a week later it automatically subscribed unlimited calling that I didn't want. Try read all their conditions before use. Once you use, no refunds changes. I asked to change to minute plan they said no because their policy. I ended up spent 10bucks for a call..
This has been my favorite app for the past 7 months. But recently it has logged me out by itself. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but its not working. It keeps giving me an error connecting message. Regardless I am still not changing my initial 5 star rating for this app because it has worked consistently well for me in the past. Please help, I want to get back to using this app again. If anyone from rebtel knows the solution to this problem please reach out to me on mbedaneusmle@gmail.
The calls stop going through even with a strong Wi-Fi. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times but it keeps giving me error messages and won't connect. This is very frustrating!!
I downloaded this app somewhere February but I haven't been able to make a single call with it. The person who recommended it told me to buy just 5 pounds worth of credit for a start which I did but I have never made a single call from the app. Anytime I try making a call I get the same message'You have used all your calling credit' but the 5 pounds balance is still in my account. So I have the credit but I can't use it to make any call
Absurd for USA Calls -- installed app on one of my Android devices, calling my other Android as a test. The call SHOWS YOUR REAL PHONE NUMBER. 👎👎👎👎👎 Are calls "free"? Who cares! 99.999 per cent of USA cell phone plans are unlimited calling (rates are based on data, not per call). I thought this app would be perfect for dialing unrecognized numbers and answering Craigslist ads, etc. Wasn't expecting a dedicated number of my own free -- but caller ID should be random for privacy
App is good ....but I won't give more star, bcz I am not able to call once I switch to another wi-fi network. I am able to manage call only from first wifi network, where I registered in this app. Kindly revert if there is any solution.
Feels like a scam, unbelievably from a Swedish company. I recharged 5Euro, and only managed to spend 2 cent. As soon as I dial a number, the call ends. Tried reinstalling, the-logging and everything that is possible, nothing seemed to fix this.
I have been using this app for years now. Only recently that I am having problems placing my regular calls to Ivory Coast. The calls don't go through and yet money is deducted from my credit. Even today the same thing happened and couldn't call my family during theses festive period via rebtel. I had to use other means.
Good app. I use it a whole lot of time to speak with family and friends. However, the connectivity can be sometimes poor that you hardly hear from either ends..
The best. Great cheap way to call internationally, and it automatically helps you with the otherwise unintuitive country codes and prefixes. Highly recommended.
Rebtel is a rip off. I just realized that they charge me to call in USD which is way more expensive than What I would pay locally to make the same international call. Sad! Other cal cards charge between 0.07 and 0.10 and rebtel charges USD 0.12/min which is about 0.15 to 0.18 CAD /min depending on the market forex fluctuations.. I will be deleting my account unless this IS fixed. Technically rebtell should be charging below USD 0.09/min for the same service glad I caught it today.
Thanks for your app, I really found this useful and with good prices, BUT now It's been impossible to dial a number in a bank service or at least the operator doesn't recognize when I dial a number... I'd really appreciate if you check that feature. Thank you

They had service for $10 for 80 minutes and you can use 80 minutes until you finish it for over several months or for unlimited time until use it. they developed scam, they started pull money from credit card without consent saying that its a automatic renewel, thats a scam!! without letting people know without using their provide minutes without any consent, making people fool. be aware of the scam!
I understand some companies have tyrannical and abusive rules like Rebtel, but I still against of stealing my money, just because I wasn't able to usit for a while. You can just renew our balance, but not just take it. Many companies like Yolla, will never add a expiration date on my credits, very sad see you adding more and more oppressive rules every day.
Used to be excellent. But, recently, all the calls keep dropping after 10 or 20 mins and it wasted more than 2 hours of my time trying to figure out the issue. Not choosing rebtel anymore. 👎
