The whole service is quite ok, but it needs to support dark mode (impaired vision). Also, when calling offline I cannot hear the other end ringing, and end up talking straight away after a big silence. Overall i like the service and quality of calls. I am using the service for offline calls only, as I was tired of internet voip based calls for the lag and other sounds issues. Huge improvement has been made on the app, as now is finally able to run and get the list of contacts with no internet.
Recent time a lot of technical problems are emerging: certification failure; you can't know wether app is calling or not, you know only when some picks up; if the number calling to is not available, then one old lady (I think it's only automatic voice answer) answers in Russian language and you lose your money ( connection fee + one minut fee). No quick customer service
Surprised by how well this works. Never any issues with connecting. Only minor points I have are about the app itself, as it's a little unclear when the phone call is actually going through. And the numbers aren't saved in my call history either, which can be confusing.
It's really cheap to call Russia in comparison with the other call apps or cards out there. It's not easy to make a call since "all the circuits are busy now", however it could be due to pre-Christmas time. And even if not, still totally worth it as it saves tens of pounds in calls. Much appreciated.
First time this company has been quick to fix a bug because it meant you couldn't add credit and therefore affects their income. Go figure! Experienced continuous long term bugs, often simple ones such as displaying character limit rather than losing all your data when you go to send. No response to request for refund.
It is nice to be able to speak with family in Europe but the dropped calls are becoming moreo frequent.
Well up until yesterday this app was working fine and a great app to use to call my international friends with, however now it is giving me the following message when I open the app: "Server Certificate Error! Do you use public WiFi?" I haven't changed any settings on my phone at all....frustrated as I have had a response from toolani help people on this issue. Oh and I have to always email my questions, concerns or issues I may have, as the live chat does not work, which is frustrating.
Account does not work and despite repeated contact I can't use the service and have not been able to for a long time. They were only too happy to close my account and keep the money remaining on the account. Had they any integrity they would have done a refund, no matter that it would only have been symbolic. I am now looking for a service that FUNCTIONS!

This app worked fine and rate was good initially, but it appears the rate went up and makes you recharge more often. What I hate about it is that sometimes when you dial a number from your contact, it asks you to enter the number you wish to call. It's so frustrating! I've not been able to place a call since 2pm today. I had to uninstall and reinstall thereafter. I hope it works this time.
Very easy to use. Excellent customer service. When I first joined and made first international call I was charged six pence for no reply. I contacted customer service via email and they happily refunded the charged amount. I'll strongly recommend this app.
I have been using this app a while now for international calls. Calls are very clear and cheap and also when I uninstall the app due to lack of storage on my phone when I reinstall I still have all my unused credit left which I find great. Easy to top up as well.
I liked this app because its alternative to cell phone service. You still have to pay. But it's like a pay phone. You can call anyone you wish. And you get one free call. I didn't give it a five star rating because I think it could be improved. I didn't find it very attractive in style or color choice. But that's my opinion.
Terrible! Cheaters! Ive used the first free call and everything was fine so i decided to buy credits. After top up NO CALL GOT CONNECTED EVER. Ive tried many numbers, none worked. Ive contacted support few times but they didnt do anything just asked to wait for contact, and never contacted me again. Finally i asked for REFUND THAT I DIDNT GET. Its been over 3 months now. Im totally fed up and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP. Use free call and dont waste money on it.
Very poor service. Takes credits off you even during call connecting stage. Very limited success rate to connecting your calls. Topped up $20 and the call center could not connect any of my calls and used up the $20 recharge without any successful call made. 0/5 Rating....
Was good but in last few days not working. Not for me and not for my partner. So it's not just me. We have different phones and networks. So it's definitely their fault. Could have fixed problem quicker. Edited: Fixed with update. Thanks for quick response. 5 stars from me :)
Quality call is good but it gets disconnected after a few minutes. This happened to me on my very first call which I called again another 2 times and happened again. I was able to talk for about 4/5 min each time.

Most of the time the connection works just fine, but sometimes it's a REAL bother! Love the rates though and that I can use my cellphone to call friends & family on their cellphone!!
Very bad..did not take input requested by the IVR,which rendered the call completely useless. Tried a few times more just to be sure..No Luck..Tried with another app and worked perfectly fine..
This app has made contact with my Mum during Covid 19 an easy and cheap way to keep in touch and check she is okay. Thank you. When I had a problem with the app last weekend and asked for help, a problem was found and an update corrected it - awesome 👍 😊
It was working good for about a week. Now whenever i make the same call i used to make in china it tells me "the number you have dialed is not yet in service". When i dial it sends me to a new york number which gives me that error message. For now i switched to rebtel. I dial the same number & it works. Such a shame. Fix the new york number pls.
No calls possible. This is the second time this happened. For 2 days I haven't been able to make calls. On Toolani website it says: "Android error: There is currently an issue with the toolani app for Android. Login, calling and buying credit is not possible at the moment." When are they going to fix it??
It's so hard to get connected plus the network is really poor
I have used the app twice to call abroad and so far have been impressed. The call quality was clear on both ends, on both occasions. Fantastic.
I'm yet to use this app because I can't top up. pop up windows are blank with only "ok" or "cancel" showing so I can't see the messages I need to verify. it's irritating
Had issues with it only working in the country where I set it up (which kind of defeats much of the purpose of such an app), especially when travelling; however, now it forgot my login, and my credit also disappeared. Fine - I'll forget it, too: DELETE.
