Checkbook Plus

I've tried so many checkbook apps and this one is my favorite. I really wish you could update it though. It would be nice if the name of vendors would remember if it was a credit or debit to the account. Also, the app crashes if I go too far back in my history. With that said, I've got 2 years worth of transactions. I love the app, just wish it was still supported.

Nice app could use categories and a choice of colours, even if it's only full black, the entries in the book are very very hard to read in that grey colouring. Maybe green for deposits, black for entries and that grey for cleared entries if you don't mark them to hide, but trying to read and reconcile that grey...not great. New issue works a little then stops and exits itself with no warning.

This is exactly what I was looking for! It's perfect! They also have a quick add widget which comes in handy when out and about. you can markes items as cleared when they've cleared the bank. You can schedule reoccurring transactions. You can also back up and export your data for safe keeping and restore if need be. I haven't 'needed' to do so, but did to make sure it worked properly. Ads are not overbearing however I paid the 0.99$ to remove ads once I knew this would be perfect for me.

It works well, so far. Initially, big fonts were an issue. After getting in settings, perfect fonts. Clean look. Knows how to do math, unlike some apps. The only slight issue, which is no big deal, is that the + sign, to add transactions etc, is slightly covering the balance of my last account on the list. I just have to slide the screen or open account to view balance. Love that the total balance of all accounts is on top and clear.

I used to love this app and I bought the paid version so I could back up my data and now there is no longer an option to back up or export!! The app constantly freezes and crashes. If you are going to charge people for extra features, you should deliver. Either refund my money or fix the app. @developer - the backup option does nothing. When I hit back up, nothing happens.

Like this app much better than the checkbook. $.99 to get rid of the ads was a bargain. Love recurring options especially to enable or not. The option to only do it once. The layout is the same as checkbook. Like it is attached to my Google account. Like that I can now have backup band not start over with every new phone. 👏👏

Overall pretty good I wish it had the ability to populate the same dollar amount as the last time you entered a transaction for that same Vendor. For instance if I add an entry for Nissan and its $350, the next month I enter it, I would like it to default to $350. This way I don't have to remember the amount. But still be able to overwrite it. Also, I wish the option for show or hide cleared was right on the top instead of having to drill down into the menu. Otherwise it's a good app

Terrible app. This app is so unstable. Freezes when you scroll. Even if scrolled very slowly. when clearing transactions, every time you clear a transaction it automatically returns the register to the very start so you have to scroll down to find where you left off. Then because you're scrolling if freezes. then you have to close the app and start over. Very aggravating...

So far... has been a great and updated account register. My former app stores being updated and some options stopped working. This app has a running total as well as available balance. Recurring transactions and funds transfers work flawlessly. Only addition I would like to see in a future update would be the ability to set scheduled backups (daily, weekly, monthy automatic backup). All in all, a great app.

Mostly great! Have a few user-friendly suggestions: have a more streamlined listing (for instance, I don't need to see when each entry was modified; I'd rather see more entries), ability to change which checkbook an entry belongs to after starting a check entry, and have similar motions do the same thing (such as edit) in all screens.

I like the app a lot. This is better than a PC checking/savings app for a few good reasons. I think a major one is that you balance your accounts throughout the month, not at the end of the month. Check your bank account online, up date the app with cleared transactions. You will always have accurate balances and projections.

Decent app, but found that on my Chromebook, when I enter the amount of a transaction, the digits double up so instead of typing $3.42, it show $3344.22. I have to ensure I check this carefully. Other than that it works great as long as I don't have a PIN set up. If I set up a PIN, the app will never open again. I have to uninstall, reinstall, and then import my backup. No issues on Pixel phone.

Really, Really like this App! It's the little things, like not having to add a decimal point when entering numbers. Easy to transfer funds, easy to enter transactions, easy to edit accounts & transactions. And the cost to get rid of ads ... $ 0.99! Can't beat that!

It is a great app. Easy to use. I wish I could have found this a long time ago. I only have one suggestion. When a transaction is cleared color it a different color like red or yellow. This makes the cleared transactions easier to especially for seniors or those with problems with eye sight. Still a fantastic app.

Love the app no more ledgers. It's very accurate takes a lil time to get use to but once you get it there's no turning back the adds are not over the top actually they run on the bottom so you really don't know they're there unless you're focusing down there one thing though if you setup a pin and a fingerprint every time you want to go into each account you have to enter it but it's cool enjoy!

i had an old app to help keep up with my accounts. then i change phone and i could not get it back. So I looked for a new one and i found checkbook plus, it is a simple great app, where i can edit the way i want it and it was really easy to learn to use it in all its setting. For the few cents that you pay for this app, you get alot more back that what you pay for. I love it, that is all.

pretty good ap. I liked my ap before better for the following reasons. I could search a payee, amount or type of purchase. i could also look at the cleared list by switching that view then back to pending. i would really like this ap to move the cleared to it own screen, yes can hide them but once to view again it bring them all back and have to go through one by one to hide again that a pain in order to see what was paid last time.

I love this app. I can easily watch my checkbook balance. It's easy to use. I usually do a weekly budget and I like that it's easy to delete the past transactions on here. I don't have to go through too many steps to do it. I hope this app stays updated.

I just downloaded Checkbook Plus after reading a few reviews and one woman had the same issue that I had with the regular Checkbook. It wouldn't backup and restore when you get a new phone so she downloaded this app, so I followed suit. The different features alone are awesome and the fact that it's ran by Google is always a plus. If & when I get a new phone I'll see if it transfer my information then I'll come back on and give a rating of 5 star 😊

I love this app and I would have given it 5 Stars except for one small thing. When you back up the app it should backup everything not just the transactions. When I loaded this app onto my backup device and loaded the export file that I created from my primary device, it only loaded the transactions.I had to go through the settings and remake all the selections I over again. furthermore, I also had your total a tree make all of the recurring transactions as they did not get included as well.

I like the app but the most frustrating thing for me is no auto fill. Every transaction name has to be completely re-entered every time. This is way too time consuming.

Trying to edit a recurring transaction and I can't seem to get this taken care of. The interface with my laptop for this app is not very good. Would like to be able to see my tranactions when I tap on my account. Can't seem to find them. Horrible app as far as I'm concerned.
