Checkbook Pro

I'm a new user and a new Chromebook owner. I used Microsoft Money for many years and was set in my ways with its functions and features. After searching for something comparable I was discouraged and settled on this app. I agree with the others (to a point) that it is easy to use. The new user is forced to just learn it by trial and error. I would like to see more helpful detailed tips for its use. The most recent disappointment I've had is the backup function, It doesn't work and after reading the reviews I guess i shouldnt expect a response from the developers regarding ithe backup problem being fixed.

i really like this app, its like having my register at the palm of my hands all the time. It was worth the price. Add multiple accounts. It does all the math for you. You can add, change any entry especially if you made a mistake. Multiple categories for different entries and you can customize your own categories. The reports pie graphs are just ok...they are hard to read even on my Galaxy note 8, needs improvement. Also in the future I would develop a way I could sync with my computer.

So far it has been very accurate comparing the entries made and to my banking statements. Very easy to use, you can add as well as eliminate or change the names of the categories. It's like an electronic checkbook because it's formatted that way, that's what makes it very good and very easy to use because you can detail your transactions so you really know where your money is going, and it's hassle free. I later bough the pro version to eliminate the ads, and it's working perfectly fine.

Backup to Dropbox never works. I've lost the history of my transactions multiple times. I've reached out to their support and never get a response. I've switched to Checkbook app and it's great so far. I'm able to backup my transactions to Google drive and it works. I have a feeling this app is no longer supported.

Great app. Very accurate. The only thing that needs to be adjusted is recurring payments show up at different times on the day of the payment. If you could adjust the time your payment shows up in the ledger would be great and very helpful. That is all I personally would change about the app.

I have been using this app for a month and so far so good. Very simple to use! I reconcile to bank frequently so very nice to have uncleared totals and total balance always available. Love the favorites/reoccurring transactions, time saver! Filter doesn't appear to work. Need to still figure out backups on my phone SD card, doesn't allow selecting/save folder? Export to email is in code/can't decipher, and file not in docs or downloaded files. Would like month abbreviations mor than first letter

Have used this app for a while with great satisfaction. However when I upgraded my phone recently, it no longer allows me to rotate to a vertical view, it forces the app to a sideways/horizontal view. This is extremely annoying as it more cumbersome to use this way. The rest of the functions work normally.

It's ok. It does the job but the checkbook register is a bit awkward to work with, as it's sorted by calendar month instead of just sequential. The reporting and categorization can't be customized, so you have to modify how you want to categorized to match whatever out of the box categories they have.

I loved this app on my Galaxy S5, but finally had to retire it. I upgraded to the Galaxy S9, but after installing it, when I open it, it reports that it isn't designed for this version of Android. I found that by lowering the screen resolution, I can get it to "mostly" work, but... Will there be an update? Just a 4 star rating until it gets an update...

I have had this app for years, but now it will no longer backup to my Dropbox account. i purchased a new phone and could not restore my information. I found Volkron and liked it so much better and the backup eorks perfectly. Checkbook Pro has been uninstalled from my phone permanently.

I am updating my phone, from the S7 to the Note 9, but I cant find a way to transfer the info from one phone to another. It gives me 2 backup/restore options. One is through DropBox but it always fails. The other is to the card on my phone bur I cant get that info from one phone to the other.

I used to love this app but then the backups started failing to both Dropbox & my SD Card. I will no longer use this app because it's no longer reliable and I'm not going to take the chance of losing all of my checkbook register history because it didn't backup properly.

Used to be a pretty good app, but hasn't kept up with the times. Can't back up to Dropbox anymore, and now your SD card backup is toast too. Kiss your records goodbye when you change phones. Can only use on one device also. Response time from Molovi is never. Too bad. Moving on.

I havent been able to figure out how to reconcile accounts other than manually. I think this would be a valuable thing and hope you add it soon. I also cant figure out how to transfer from one account to another. I just debit one account and credit the other. This is time consuming. Lastly, I have never received an answer when I send a question. Otherwise, I doing fine with it and am happy.

i love this app because keep my money organized, but the problem is that the section where i need to add a reminder, doesn't work, adding a description, works, choosing a date doesn't go thru, it force close on me, i would like to use that feature, i have the right to because i have the pro version, but it doesn't work, i already did the clear cache process, nothing, uninstalled it, and reinstalled it, nothing, it just simply doesn't work, is my reason for lowering my rating from ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐-TO-⭐⭐⭐😔

The app is good ovsrall. However, I wish the feature to use it vertical exists. horizontal is good and I get the concept why its this way. But we should have the option to use vertical.

I used to love this check register but it has not been updated and it will no longer back up so when I have switched my phone I lost all info. Now I have to reset my phone and will lose all my info again. Going to look for an app that will be able to be backed up.

recurring expenses are periodic, some show some do not, over all quite akward to manipulate. would like my money back. pla6 store app would never let me get a refund. followed instructions on line to no success

I love the app. My big issue is my phone crashed and lost all my accounts. anyway to recover. this app needs to be able to sync to multiple devices. anyone know of one that does?

I love this. I have all of my checking accts, savings, investments, and credit card on here! Definitely worth the $4!!!!! easy to view! Even reminders for monthly reoccurring! So easy!

It is a bit lacking on instructions. still not sure how to save payees. liked simple checkbook ledger better but its no longer offered. I'll figure this one out in time.

Love this app !! Just wanted a replacement for my paper ledgers and this app is perfect for that. Only wish it would sync to another device so I could use on tablet AND phone.

Love this ap and have use it for years for checking account and credit cards. Recently the backup feature has stoped working and none of the contact information for support work. Company must have gone out of business

This App was great but it's been 6 years and no updates. By now there needs to be better ways to save & use the register from device to device. It's just really time for an update!

What I dont like if you get a new phone You will lose all the information that you had from previous year checkbooks. The app doesn't save the information on the check registers.
