Checker Cabs Calgary

As some others have said, when the app actually works it's great but I have an issue every single time I book a cab on here. It doesn't let me log in half the time and when I do book a ride where I am on the map will disappear and obviously the cab driver can't see where I am too because they started driving the opposite way and never came to get me so that's fun. Lol honestly you guys need to flesh out the app more

When the app works it works well. Takes an extremely long time to open. Stays on the yellow screen. Don't know if it is trying to acquire a GPS signal before it shows the order screen but if it is, I would rather it show the order screen and then acquire the signal. At least then I would know it's working. If that is not the reason it is slow then work on it loading faster.

Very slow, sometimes it doesn't show if your booking was picked up, "live" map shows nothing. The developer of this app should take a look at other ride share apps like uber, they are night and day in functionality. Try to pre-book and won't know if you're getting a ride until 5 min before you need it, or not at all. Takes the security out of "pre-book" Lame.

Rarely loads. When I do get to use it the feature to see where your cab is crashes. It asks if I'm at (address), I select yes, it sends to a different address down the street anyway. More often than not I have to cancel the app and call the operator. Not one of its features works the way it's supposed to.

Checker Cab is a great taxi service. Their app is laggy, refreshes in the middle of entering information, and booked rides are 30+ minutes late more often than not. Call Checker's operators directly instead of using this app.

Just booked a cab now and it says 2mins away, so I waited outside so he doesn't need to call me. Standing there for 30mins already then I notice the app that it says picked up.! Like wt!!! Very inconvenient. Don't download! Just a waste of memory on you phone. If it has negative star I will definitely give it! To think that its was so cold right now!! Uninstalling!! 😡😡😡😡

This app is terrible. I booked a cab, they never showed, and no one picked up when I called their operator line. When I hung up and called back, all I got was a busy signal. The app wouldn't let me cancel the cab, either. I missed an important appointment at the SHC and I can't even call and ask why!

The worst app. I prebook the nigt before and it takes 40 mins from the pick-up time for taxi's to arrive. Even the taxi drivers are upset. Dispatch is idiotic about it claiming it's because there aren't cars in the area. If you pre-book a taxi...the taxi should just be there - thats the point of booking one. Customer Service will not return my call to advise how to resolve the issue.

App does not want to load... looking at previous reviews this is an ongoing issue that checker refuses to fix. Get your app to work or don't even bother and close it completely, you lose alot of trips if your customers can't access the tools you give them

It dose not even start up or open for me at all on my current device but I had no problems on any other device I used it with when it was working I found it to be an excellent app with reliable time and functionality until a future time when I can have it working on my J-3 I will give it only three stars but when the app is fully working I'm very happy with it thank you

Have had this app for a while probably atleast 2 years and it never works without glitching. I hate calling but I've only had this app actually work to book me a taxi ONCE. All the other times it freezes or glitches or wont let me press anything. Updates dont fix it.

How many times have I not been picked up because a cab deemed my trip to short. I've honestly lost count! I have literally been stranded at 4:30am unable to get to work because a 12 minute drive isn't long enough. I switched to uber and never looked back.

There was no way to see if a cab was on its way and so I inadvertently ordered two...there should be a live update feature so that a customer can see if a cab has been dispatched, and doesn't need to request a cab again. I felt badly for the second cab who drove out of his way to my area, but I did not do this deliberately.

App loads half the time. Sometimes gets stuck at searching and doesn't notify which leads to double bookings and cabbies arguing with each other on who gets the customer. Not pleasent at all. Seems to get worse with time.

Very slow to load. Sometime I have to shut it down multiple time for it to work. When it does work, seems alright. Not the most reliable app.

Constant pop-up notifications, the driver took 15 minutes longer to arrive than estimated (on a 5 minute estimation). App is clunky with a very poor UI compared to similar apps. I'll just be calling from now on.

Often this app doesn't load or crashes or logs you out. If you can't remember your password, you can't order a cab. I selected "forgot your password" and I was supposed to get an email to reset it but I didn't get any email?

Of the several Checkers Taxi drivers I have used, over half revealed to me (quote) "the girls don't like amswering the phones" (unquote). Meaning whose who are employed to receive customers' calls for a taxi. It is a fact that it always takes much longer to have someone answer the phone when we call Che kers! Always! Additionally, I have personally experienced racist Checkers taxi drivers. Drivers who originate from the Middle East.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD! The company gave out my personal contact and trip information to someone who called me and tried to scam me for money. Complained to dispatch and their Customer service rep Lori and they said they would look into it, then stopped returning my calls. Deleted the app and will not use checker cab anymore.

Dont bother downloading this garbage app. Once upon a time it kinda worked and now it's completely broken. If you wanna be late for work- go ahead and download it. If you want a company that will cancel your cab and not tell you - have at it. Just call the number and order a cab that way. Save yourself the frustration.

Just a garbage. I booked a van to the airport 3 hours in advance and it was confirmed . Then just 10 minutes before the appointment they called me to cancel as no available vehicles.

Poor execution, needs a lot of polishing. multiple alerts and lack of map updating, poorly planned UI.

I tried to install this app for my mother. GPS would locate her at Canyon Meadows when she lives in Deer Run Blvd. I know that it's close but she is a senior not great with technology. Thought this would be easier for to use but I guess not.

this app is really bad. I could not input my house number for my pickup. used special instructions to input house number but this didn't show up in the taxi driver's to know so he couldn't find my house.
