HDMI Licensing, the company that defines hardware rules for HDMI cables, announced that it's releasing an HDMI Alt Mode for USB-C products. The specification allows for USB-C-to-HDMI cables to be made with no need for extra dongles or converters, and allow compatible devices to output video directly from a USB-C device to an HDMI display. This means that smartphones, tablets, laptops, cameras, and any other devices with a USB-C port can be built to directly output video to any HDMI display with a single cable.
Alt Mode, which stands for Alternative Mode, allows non-USB signals to be carried through a USB-C cable. Other USB-C Alt Modes support DisplayPort, MHL, and Thunderbolt. USB-C devices that support these Alt Modes can then, with the correct USB-C cable, transfer those signals in addition to regular USB data.

I have a £1,200 Z-Flip and it does not support DEX or Screen Mirroring yet a 3 year old Galaxy S8 does... Seriously Samsung... This app told me Screen Mirroring is not avail (which is correct) so it does what it says, quick and fast.

this app works perfect.. i have a samsung galaxy tab a7 & when i connect my hdmi type c cable to the tv it does nothing. so i installed this app and it told me my device doesnt support hdmi to type c. so i donwloaded this app on s8+ and it said that this device supports hdmi to type c. i knew this already thou s8+ connects to tv perfect with cable. samsung galaxy tab a7 only supports hdmi to otg type c donlge. try findig a hdmi dongle for ur device. hope this helps.😃 or mayb mhl cable. cheers😃
Not correct. I'm using Oppo Find X2 pro that support type C to HDMI but app shows not support
Fals checking on honor v20.. Honor v20 I am using a secondary screen through hdmi for desktop mode.. but this aap is showing my phone doesn't support usb type c to hdmi but in real it supports Fake aap
after connecting to 2nd screen still this is showing my mobile is not compatible to 2nd screen. joke is am writing this message from keybord and by seeing from 2nd screen my phone is lg g8x
Point less installing it I installed it and then when trying to use it I get a message from the app saying that my mobile won't support HDMI
