Checkmate Background Check

I tried to look up someone by using their phone number and I got a completely different person. Gender, name, ethnicity... Everything was wrong. The only thing they got right was the point carrier. I just wanted to find out info on that person's call history as advertised, and it didn't work. They just try to charge an additional $36 for a background check, which I don't care for. Definitely unsubscribed ASAP

Is the most thorough "person" search engine I've used. Accuracy can only be as accurate as the people or businesses that input the information you're looking for so you can't blame an apps search engine. This app goes above and beyond in providing information and the layout and design is pleasing to the eye and easy to use..

Called support but they did nothing. I can't look up anything. Even with the area code it won't even give you an idea of where the call originated from. Also it won't even tell if it's a spam phone number. White pages free app at least let's you know if it spam or phishing. It works intermittently for some numbers. It can't handle the "+" symbol in the phone look up. Having to do extra steps. The support staff is clueless on how to fix or even troubleshoot problems. They have know bugs but making no attempt to fix.

The $1 week trial isn't available through the app so I just paid the $35 for the month because it seemed pretty legit from what I've seen. Nope! HUGE WASTE OF MONEY. It found one email address I forgot about but NOT the one I've been using as my primary email for 10+ years (THE ONE I JUST USED TO REGISTER FOR THE ACCOUNT!). Didn't find any of my public Facebook info, or really anything that a simple Google search would find. I really wish I could give them negative stars and get my money back.

maybe better than most but basically it's a scam. the reply from the publisher implying that I was using the free version: that is incorrect. I paid for one month $27. and got access to a little bit of information any more was going to cost more. so I cancelled. and they called me back and offered me the same plus a lot more access to the rest for $17 a month. which I declined recognizing the game they're playing. but out of curiosity months later I tried to get access to that discount. nope...

Cancelled my subscription & deleted my account (before the $1 trail ended a WEEK ago) & was still charged $34.78. Not happy!! Edit: it's been over 1 MONTH since I canceled my subscription. It shows on my google that I have no subscriptions at all. I also have NO PURCHASE HISTORY of ANYTHING from Instant Checkmate but I'M STILL BEING CHARGED!! I cannot request a refund for either of the charges & they have not replied to my emails. I don't hace an account and don't even have the app installed.

Everything is looking good. I just received this when I Download Google Play Store on my Mobile App. It needs updates daily rather than getting stuck and can't finished. What should I do? Well, I'll have to search for the Settings App to clear Cache and Cookies. Once all Data's cleared, then I'll have to download it again and see if there's a difference. Can you please help me if I received an error message like Something went wrong, please try again. What should I do? Thanks for helping me out.

A lot of info on people is either incomplete, inaccurate or just plain missing. Pretty good at first but when you run out of people you need to look up your basically paying what $34.00 a month for nothing. After the first month pay by search would be fair. But since this option is not available I had to cancel my subscription. The price is too high for what you get anyway. And Dr. D. Black since when is Instant Checkmate free ? It's not now (3/3/2019)

Not reliable at all. I verified things I knew and it was not accurate. Perhaps you need to hire people who know social media sites, email addresses, courthouse devices record neighbors relatives' phone numbers, in every state as rules change from to state or perhaps you could 7-day trials without credit card use and ask or due surveys of people who used it to confirm it accuracy and more will pay for it as a marketing tool.

I'll give this the benefit of the doubt and give it 2 stars. Searches are general in the extreme! Address, phone etc. Any detailed searches are a pay as you go. Ie phone info, details about almost anything in your "report" cost extra. I've never been close to an arrest. Save your money.

Provides both accurate info and just plain wrong info even with premium subscription. Checked results of various searches of people I know including family and close friends. Helpful background info, but cannot trust that more than 75% of it as accurate (especially for criminal backgroud info. Much "probable" criminal data is left out or just plain wrong). Worth having, yet can't depend on false, incomplete or innacurate reporting of criminal backgrounds, which was why I paid extra for premium.

I looked myself up and the results are hilariously incorrect. Basically only has all old landline phone numbers, which you could find in a phonebook. Some of them were never mine. No access to any useful information. Don't waste your time. (Also has annoying pop-ups)

Paying the $40.00 a month didn't access anything more than using the free version. Waste of 💰. I unsubscribed and deleted the app from my phone. None of the info was up to date. Phone numbers and addresses were old. No way to contact old friends.

So far so good I haven't paid for subscription yet a bit high for a month plan but the info has been spot on with the little you get there should be a fee for individual info like a dollar or 2 Instead of making the customer pay a 40 dollar fee for one month or 70 for 3 months if I was a business owner or something yes I sure would in a heart beat pay other then that it's great

Would definitely consider a paid package... This will probably get better and more accurate with use, the devolopers might need to consider an opt out option for some or all content catagories. It should be remembered that knowledge is powerful and should be used with caution. That being said this can also be used to bring us all together in difficult times which I believe is something most of us want especially right now.

So far I'm completely disappointed in the app. I just got on it yesterday and I can't open it and when did search for name, it wanted me to pay again. My pass word never even came up or did they ask if I was already a member. Out of three people, they have only to bring up proper information on one. Not a very good average. Disgusted

Found everything I was looking for.How easy is it to use this app. In my opinion a monkey or a two year old can work this, or Maybe a two year old monkey!?¿ I didn't see any ads while I was searching. But, Then again I wasn't searching for ads, I was looking for a person. Silly Rabbit, Tricks R4 Kids!!!

Doesn't tell you anything most of the time ,doesnt give work history, or pictures, or current email, or their driving and personal records which is suppose to be free to the public.....Don't Waist your money. Plus they charged 20 more a month than signed up for. Isn't that stealing?

Actually provides the free services they advertise, which is more than over 90% of other "free" background apps do-- most of which operate under the false pretense of gathering the info, then asking for a credit card # when you try to view it.

Found a very detailed report on the individual I was looking for literally IMMEDIATELY. FIRST person on the list. Great service. My only critique is that you guys are a little bit expensive it's kind of hard for me to just bust out $40 for 1 month's worth of service service especially normally looking for like one person. Other than that though amazing job 4 1/2 out of 5 stars

This used to be my favorite. I would use it to check and see who callers were if I didn't know the number and to see if a potential date was being honest with me. They upgraded it last week and it's horrible. I get less information now than I would if I just googled someone's name. I'm canceling my subscription now as I'm not going to spend money on something thats worse than a free service.

You can't see anything worthwhile without paying. I'm not paying $35 for information on one person. That's ridiculous. The only information you will get is their name and age, which you probably already know, and an email address. No arrest records, warrant records, nothing useful. Either advertise that actual information has to be paid for, so we don't waste our time, or make people just pay for the app. I'm much more likely to pay $4.99 for an app, or even $9.99, than $35 for ONE month of info.

I have zero complaints. Just know that this is public records and mistakes can be made, or reasons other that need to be looked into. I know this because I ran my own name to check accuracy and it had my new phone #. But there is a traffic violation and court case in a town I've never been in at a time that would have been impossible for me to be there at the time. I spoke with them and it's entirely possible that it's a case of stolen identity, which is good to know.

The main website claims as your searching they are looking for military service records but in either the app or the website it's shows no service records. Misleading app
