I think its well worth a serious attempt at using it. Graphics were hard for me to get used to only cause it wasn't what I was used to seeing. However I found a setting I really like and it runs smooth on my phone. So far happy how the lower levels plays. I would give it a 5 stars if you could send saved games in PGN format to another device or email.

The new version now has animated ads on the bottom, plus a pop-over add that covers the entire board. The pop-over has such a tiny close button that I can't help but accidentally hit the ad. Too bad, this used to be my favorite chess app, now I'm uninstalling.

The look of this app is great, it's very polished and smooth to use with well designed and intuitive interface. Major flaw however is that you can't resign a game! So daft that I'm uninstalling it which is a shame. Also, doesn't rotate to landscape which would be much better on a tablet.

This is one of the best chess apps available for the Android OS. I like the variety of boards and pieces that are available. The coaching features are very nice. I do have a major request though: PLEASE ADD A LEWIS ISLE SET. The Lewis Island set is one of the oldest and most beautiful chess sets ever made. Not having a Lewis set is a major omission, IMHO. The Lewis is my favorite chess set of all time, I would be willing to pay for a Lewis set in this game.

I love the difference in sounds when a pawn is captured compared to when a took or a queen is captured. Beautiful! The graphics is nothing but excellent. I would give it four stars. You guys should try to add training lessons to it as well as create special classes for learning each of the pieces beginning from the small but potentiallypotentially dangerous pawn to the beautiful and all powerful queen. Thanks alot!

The app is well done technically: rating, adjustable engine, hint,coaching, and many others. However I think the design of the skin motifs exaggerated the motifs. The pieces look annoying, confusing , irritating the eye, it takes efforts to distinguish the pieces. Most of the skin options rendered are exaggerated useless: those egyptian knights not one looks like the other... Insert some clear user friendly skins ,pieces design , warm , classy , wood colours , and I might purchase the full.

Interesting assortment of colorful boards and Pieces especially with a 13inch Tablet..it can be enchanting. The Game and Play is nothing short of perfect(move sounds,crystal clarity etc) and the unique quality of its strategies gives you the feeling you are in the company of a human opponent

This is the best of the chess apps that I've used. It focuses on the playing of the game without distractions, though there are many cosmetic options offered. To me the most carefully done feature is the ability to set the difficulty level precisely. I set it so that the cpu wins most of the time, but i win often enough to stay challenged. Hard, Average, and Easy just don't work for me any more. Also, the new enhancement where the cpu initiates its own moves is an improvement over my having had to force the cpu's move. .-- I'm not a good player, but I'm a better player because of this app. It keeps my aging brain exercised and still having interesting games. I have no reason not to give the authors five stars for their good work. Thanks to the team.

It's a really well designed app with gorgeous 3d pieces and nice boards. It would be nice, however if it had some more plain boards to choose from, the dull kind that aren't hard on the eyes. Maybe the app should just show the boards better when you are choosing them, they look better when you actually see it and use it during gameplay, as opposed to the options screen where they look terrible. Please more 2D piece fonts to choose from, I usef the oldstyle ones which have backward knights that face right instead of left(!?), because the 3D fonts are kind of difficult to make out the whole position with on a small screen like mine. And of course the ads.

Its like a friend at the toutch of a fingure. When im ready and decide id like a game its always ready. Half way through a game i can come out of it and the board waits patiently for me. This chess game is brilliant. I love it. Ive down loaded lots of games and this one is my favourite. 😊

It is a nice and soft for playing. But if it had a option "change color" of poan and cort it will be also very nice.

It will not let me move my queen in the direction that I want it. Every time it came back. (It was legal move)

Very nicely presented, easy to follow layout and very unobtrusive ads. Years of playing chess on android and this is by far the best app.

The ability to set levels is a great aid to get better. The board and pieces could be more distinct, I mix up pawns and bishops.

Change the Mode to Tutorial for suggested moves. I have quickly learned a great deal about strategy by quickly moving through several games.

Please strengthen the application by improving its strength. Also observed are some bugs. The peices do not move for 5 seconds despite placing them on different chess square. Coach is not warning about the errors while playing

Keeps asking my to rate after I already gave 5 stars so now you will get 1 star.

Pop up ads are disruptive. Changes table design by itself sometimes at it's annoying to try to find the design again and again.

Gives the user the ability to fine-tune the difficulty settings. This makes it possible to learn at the user's own pace. Very nice app.

I love this chess game app… it is the best app I have ever played… it is fast and also very tough to beat… you can learn opening and attacking position from this app…

It's a decent chess game, the only complaint us its difficult to figure out how to "castle"

Really good chess app. As an intermediate standard player the coach isn't that helpful but the interface and differing levels are very good.

I assume the History button should give you a list of the moves played, but there is no recorded list of moves that I can find.

I'm returning to chess. Not really played since childhood and am finding this to be a great tool for reintroducing chess into my life.

I love that it rates you. I wish it wouldn't rate the game though if you take back a move. I should revert to a non rated game

It's a good chess app. Great for beginners who just started playing chess or for experienced chess players who want to up their game.

Fails signing in & nobody is online! why go to so much design work but in the end it's kinda useless!

A testing opponent. Easy to use. Good graphics. Would be better if you had the option resign a game. Would recommend this game to others.

It might be a great app but I couldn't get Beyond the skin and the pieces I looked at all the choices that or available and I couldn't find one that I liked. Four now I'm going uninstall it but I will take another look at it sometime in the future.
