Love this Chess program! Sadly, since I have a new phone Sanyo A32 5G, THIS PROG. NO LONGER WORKS, IT LOCKS UP MY PHONE... I MUST DELETE IT. PLEASE let me know when the bug is fixed!! For some reason, it helps relieve my PTSD, I can't explain why...it just does, which is a happy by product! Easy to use and a minimum of ads, etc., a real rarity these days! I'll gladly recommend this one! 5 stars worth!

I really like this game, I can play any level I want without progression, so I use lvl 13 to sharpen my skills as it's almost impossible to beat. It's a lovely game and I recommend it for anyone who likes chess.

Why is mine not working? I mean I'm good with ads but I just downloaded it and it won't work don't tell me that I used up a storage for nothing. I'm really disappointed 😞. Hope that mine get fixed pls.

This game is sooo good for beginners like me. It shows where you can go with the pon and everything and you can choose a difficulty its sooo good for beginners

I like having this chess game it is a little easier going then some of my other chess apps but it is challenging to play thanks for the app.

Great game with minimal adds. However since the updated version 3/22/22 I have been unable to open the app. Please advise

ive tried about 5 different chess games and this one is the best...i play the "daily challenges" and "end challenges" everyday and that along with the teaching mode has made me a much better player. i especially like the "end challenges", they are so much fun! *EDIT* Going to have to give one star because the end challenge game play mode no longer works. I've tried it on 3 different devices over the past few months and it simply doesn't work anymore.

Pretty good play-against-the-computer program for learning chess. I'm taking off one star because, for learning purposes, (a) the app has only a small opening repertoire (no "book" that I can discern), (b) there's no option to switch sides mid-game, and (c) as user A Aa says in his review, the skill levels are off: i.e., you're not as good as the app makes you feel. And, as others have noted, there are a few other lapses, for example, careless English spelling errors, UI and freeze glitches, and thinking that a stalemate is a "Victory!" for the attacker. The ads also cover the entire screen, and on my older Android it took me a dozen games to realize that I didn't have to click through to the ads to exit the game (you can just swipe into notifications and then dismiss the app). Nevertheless, the program has pretty good chess tactics, and unlike other chess apps I've tried, it has an "undo" function.. This helps teach you are getting careless. naive.

After abandoning the last match-3 game, I was looking for a complete change of pace for my next game. Could this be it? I have tried a few chess games on the store and this is definitely up there with the better one's. The 2.5D graphics are a cut above being just standard 2D chess. They allow the pieces to display more realistically. I like the sound effects too as that feeling you get upon checkmate is just... I intend to stick with this one for a while and play around with the settings more.

good gameplay, would be nice to be able to switch off teach permanently as it currently defaults to on on every game. freezes up on going into check when a pawn is exchanged for another piece. also too quick to jump to adverts at the end of a game. time to analyse the board and see where you went wrong before closing the match would be a great improvement (or even after the ad if you want to force revenue). lots of potential but needs fine tuning

Fun game, no ads so far. Board and pieces have several different models for youvto choose from and I haven't seen a subscription fee or "free trial" as of yet. Great way to solo brush up on your chess skill against an A.I. that you can change its level from beginner to expert, depending on the challenge your looking for. You can also play friends and make new friends to play them online

Really good for learning strategies. Great practice. Excellent entertainment. I get better every game and level.This has really improved my game a lot. It's like the perfect sparring partner. I am getting better at reading the opponent's next move. And this computer is programmed to allow some mistakes, but not all mistakes. This is fun. Can't wait to see my friends and see if they notice any difference. 😁I am really liking the end challenges. I like replaying the end challenges.

Best one I have ever electronically used. However the pieces lack a high level of dimensionality, making it difficult to separate pawns from bishops, for example. Also the level of color contrast should be greater to decrease errors that would never happen in a real-time game. Try using a reddish-brown for the pieces and a dark brown for the board. Also game board doesn't rotate in two player mode; neither does the info move button. The timer is too small; the game vanishes immediately. - w.

Ads are too loud and obtrusive. Update... Revisited this. They have fixed the bug where you could not make valid moves with pawns in certain situations. But, ads are still too loud & take over your phone, leaving you unable to answer your phone. There is a major inconsistency with the ratings. It appears completely random. Some games, the 1200 level will play at a 2000 level and vice versa. Rubber banding an issue too. Also, what's with the annoying bell?

played only few games so far, bur grapgics are good - easy to see. play computer so anytime. when its your turn you can have it play sound, it also lights up one of your pieces - not sure if it lights up best option to play . regardless, good app for playing chess when you just want to play/ practice. i will rate again if anything changes after playing more. maech 2019.

In general, the app works fine. Settings like 'sound' and 'teach' do not stay disabled. UPDATED. After almost four months of use, I can say I really enjoy this app. The settings issue still there, and also has issues where a draw gets you a win, but overall, I really like this app. Thanks!

I am newer to chess compared to other apps. This one is very challenging level 1 makes really good moves, and it actually a challenge for me. So if your chess game stinks like my mine then it might be frustrating at the start however. I am starting to think way more before I make moves, and I am improving very quickly compared to the other apps. I definitely recommend this app because my game has already slightly improved, and it has only been one night.

App resets itself every time it closes. So be careful if you're in a quiet environment and you think you had disabled the sound. Moreover, the ad's sound is never disabled and it jumps on your face the most annoying way (I'm not against reasonable advertising). Even the highest level of the app is too weak and yet, it insists on showing you the legal moves (as if you don't know it) and it also insists on teaching you how to play, lol.

This is a very good app for beginners and or masters of the game. The hint feature helps a lot in terms of strategy in future, a wide range of difficulties to help improve your game, has challenges/daily challenges and easy to navigate all round. Only reason it's not 5 star for me is because it doesn't allow you to play against online players.

I've played this off & on for quite awhile. It has obvious flaws. I doesn't recognize a stalemate among others. And my version has started to hang up. But now the author must need more money, because ads are now plastered across the center of the board with no way to remove them. The aggravation factor is no longer worth it. I've removed the game and wouldn't get again. Be warned.

Enjoyable so far. Glad that it doesn't require so many permissions, and that ads are minimal. It seems that the moves recommended pertain to what you might do at a given level to stay alive and not necessarily to win. I set my first game to level 2 and won after 45 moves give or take and ignored the recommendations about half the time.

It was the game chess but every single turn you have the game suggests a move you should take. It also shows you what's in check and what's not. Very unhelpful if you just want to play chess. Unique does not mean good. The extra features are just annoying and there's no way to turn them off. Uninstalled.

Just got updated today and app will not open. No choice but to uninstall.

Plays fine and the hints are helpful to learn. But the settings aren't saved. The sound doesn't stay off and that should include no sound on the ads. The banners are annoyingly/strategically located so the chance of hitting it is high as the controls to get out of the game disappear quickly

Excellent game! really enjoying it,love the fact you have a tutor that guides you by actually showing you what piece would be best to move ideal for people like me whilst not a novice defiantly not a master!there's also a choice of board colour and 2D or 3D pieces,plus many other options,I would highly recommend this game to anyone who wants to learn chess or just enjoys the game.it has certainly helped me understand the checkmate a lot better and actually get it right! So thank you developers👍

Good game. I really enjoyed it. But the sound settings shoud have toturn off every time when i started the game. Once it off it not continues. And also if the progammer can use more different effects to boards it will be better. Then the new things of chess board game should be involved in this with the little introduction is better. Because we can use it to improve our knowledge..anyway thankyou for this.

This is bare bones Chess. I don't know if it still has the stalemate bug cause I only played one game. Ads aren't bad imo but I didn't like getting hit in the face just before I started a game. Moving pieces is awkward at first cause with this Chess app you need to make sure the shadow is over the square. The reason I'm unloading it it doesn't do notations.
