Overall ok. There's constantly something wrong but they tend to fix it pretty good. Something weird is how you can have a perfect score in a slow tournament and still not win first place. They really should only have 4-5 round tournaments (they use too) to avoid this

This app doesn't even reveal its pricing scheme until you sign up. No family link sharing of said subscription. Looking for a honest app for purchase, not" pay as you play "

Its super fun (if you like chess) but i would rate it more. If it had online play or i could do 2 player but its super good i dont get a lot of ads

I like Chesskid, it has lessons, multiplayer, and you can play against your friends or family if you want. This app is also great for kids, with friendly chat, friendly names only, etc... Also, don't forget the fact that you can also play against the computer with different level bots.

Terrible. The free bots are super easy to beat (AI avoids losing pieces vs. checkmate), even for my 7 y/o. Playing him on the same device, there's no tabletop mode. Board flips after each turn, and if you undo a move it gets out of sync. Very disorienting. Playing online is the worst. Won't notify me when a move is made, and won't update the board. Have to back out to the home screen and go back into the game. Now, at bedtime, sending me notifications for game that ended 4 hours ago. Annoying.

Really nice app and well put together. Only two suggestions: I like the grey dots signifying move options but it could be clearer when a opponents piece is on one of the dotted squares. The bot opponents are really animated which made the game engaging for my five year old. The only problem was that when she beat 'Qwerty' he started to cry! After that she refused to beat him in the next game as she didnt want to upset Qwerty!

Hi I really love this app and there's so much to learn in a fun way for me. I have came up to the point where I want to learn but the app is restricted. We have the app at chess club at school but the school has stopped chess club because of Covid. The price is very expensive for kids to upgrade. Other then that one thing the app is a great way for kids to learn and engage the at of chess. If it's not the cost involved I would give 5 stars.

This app is terrible. I have two kids that want to play against each other, but there seems to be no way to handle friends on the app. You have to play on the website instead (which has its own problems, such as an unintuitive interface, and support pictures that are different to what we see). The app just does random challenges. Otherwise, everything else seems ok.

Videos don't work on two different Android devices. On my Acer Chrometab 10 (Android 9) get audio but no video. On my Aeezo 7" tablet (Android 10) just get "Can't play this video" or they just get skipped over like they aren't there during lessons. Only place app works fully is on iPhone 6 in my experience. Which is of course the most expensive device I want kids using least :-/

I love the app, very user friendly, very good app for learning chess for your kids, has lessons, has bot mode and a safe multiplayer. But I experienced a bug while playing bot mode in pc version, while playing, I put check to the king but the bot continued to move something else, ignoring the checkmate. I took screenshot just coz it looked funny lol but I definitely recommend this app.

My previous feedback is below where I gave disappointing rating due to payment issue. Now that's being sorted and my extra payment refunded by ChessKid, I have given 5 star. There is no issue with the application itself. One of the best I would say. My son is enjoying it again. Thanks to ChessKid for sorting out the payment issue. _____________________________________ I have given disappointing rating because I purchased Gold membership for one year few months back for my son. Initially it worked fine then my Gold membership revoked automatically. I sent many emails. Initially there was response too and they said they will fix it but never fixed it. Infact they stopped responding. Very disappointed with their support. And now today again I paid full one year amount to buy it again. So double the amount paid. 4-6 months lost.

I'm vision impaired. This app is not accessible and does not work with large fonts. You are not able to see all the things you need to fill out to create an account rendering the app unusable. Very disappointing when developers don't test their apps with large fonts.

I never learned chess as a kid so I've been learning with this app. I love the puzzles. I can't figure out how to upgrade, but otherwise it's great. I downloaded a few other chess apps and they seem much clunkier.

This is ridiculously user unfriendly app. I got the gold subscription, but that one is on apple...does not extend to my Android phone! Yep. It also does not extend to my attached kid account! Navigation is super NOT intuitive and after spending hours I still did not find how to go back in lessons and puzzles. My 5 year old definitely won't be able to learn anything. Oh and the kid must READ English WELL to be able to interact with the app. Will cancel...

I'd your trying to learn chess you can only learn how each piece moves, to learn anything beyond that you have to pay. It is also not clear about it; it just stops going through lessons until you figure out that you need to pay to get more.

I like this game 50/50. For one, when you have finished done some puzzles, it tells you have a daily limit. If you want to continue, you've got to be a good membership. For me, to get a gold membership you have to join the after school chess club and stay there. If you leave the club, you loose your membership. That's what happened to me and I got annoyed.

This is game is good, it teaches u more about chess. My only problem is that it should let u move wherever u want whenever u want so that u can learn from it mistakes. When it gets to the point where the king is trapped, it doesn't let u move anywhere and it would be better to let people move wherever so that they learn.

Not actually for children. This game puts new 6 year olds against 1300+ ELO rated players over and over again even with a low ELO rating of 600. After losing every game he's played, my 6 year old doesn't want to play anymore. Gold status is very very buggy, half the time it didn't apply correctly. Also, kids can't read the instructions in the lesson exercises which are written in high school+ reading levels (please narrate!!)

Despite paying for the Gold membership, the app does not show any paid membership and offers only the limited features of the app. Contacting customer support has been a pain. From not responding for weeks, to responding by saying "be patient with us, chess is popular now", to "try to uninstall and reinstall the app" and now to nothing at all. Also there was no response to my request for a refund. This seems like a scam, where they take your money for a promised service without delivering said service. Bigger disappointment for my child.

updated again... after 3 months I once again am having the same problem. I updated to the gold level but my son nor I show any record of doing so. updated...chess kid got back to me quickly and even with a hickup they helped get us set up. thank you! mybson truly enjoys this app with all the videos and games to play.

My kid loves chesskid lessons, playing against other chesskids, and solving puzzles. FM (Fun Master) Mike is a great instructor in short video segments. Browser experience is better than mobile app, but the app is fine.

Now I am totally free from M.A sem-4 exams so I can spare my time with excellent chess kids in this application. I really like and appreciate kid's chess strategies because they are very talented in chess formations. Keep up good work 👍👍👍👍👍

I try to log into the app, and I get a "Too many login attempts" message. So I wait a day and I try again. It still says "Too many login attempts" so I reinstall the app. Still no. Chesskid has a lot of bugs to fix.

Chess Kids helped me a lot. It has so many facilities like daily puzzle, practice games, videos etc. It's the best app and I learnt very much. Chess Kids puzzles brush up your mind and you can play better. Thank you Chess Kids!

Bought a year membership for my child on the website. Made profiles for both me and child. Is linked on the site but not on the app. Cannot view my child's progress on the app. The app also still wants me to upgrade even though I used an already upgraded account to log in.

I wish I could give a better review, but: - The Android app versions are VERY buggy, the club to which I belong cannot be accessed from the mobile app, so I can't interact with my club members. - A PC is required for some basics tasks, ie- resetting password goes to a missing page from mobile app. Reported to admin twice, hasnt been fixed. - The app purchase is expensive...signing one kid up costs $49/year?!? Our club was going to cost almost $500/yr.

Very good lessons, but many errors that won't allow you to finish the lessons and it won't allow you to go back and replay it. Very frustrating

Tip: forget this app, go to the chess kids site and create a home screen shortcut. But do give it one star so devs do something about this garbage app. No feature parity with iphone version, is an automatic one star. My family have 4 android devices and two ios. Why not develope the app using a cross platform kit. What's wrong with unity2d ? We cannot edit profile and add each other as friends to play. ios ones can do all that.

This game includes strategy, really fun to play especially for kids who are begginers. I really recommend this game for kids who want to learn how to play chess. :')
