The best chess app ever!! I couldn't have asked for a better app!! If I could i'd rate it 10 stars!! Out of literal thousands of games I only managed to beat the computer once. So I don't count it as a "win, win" you know. Also everyone complaining about ads just turn on airplane mode... yeah it's that easy... and the people complaining about difficulty download some kids game because chess is just not for you don't stress.

The levels are very good and the difficult level has a brilliant algorithm and logic. I love this game and in this app, you can sharpen your skills. It's the best chess apps. It would have been better if there could be different themes of boards and pieces and also if there is an option to retire rather than playing all through out and then coming to a draw.

The app is OK. I wouldn't go beyond that. - On the pro side, it had a wonderful lack of add harassment. It plays quickly. Its move algorithms are in line with levels of play. - On the con side, it lacks the "obvious" piece distinction between king, queen and bishop. It's there, but it's subtle and takes getting use to. It doesn't give numerical values to levels of play. It doesn't give resign or abandon options.

Easy hardest difficulty out of all the chess apps. Everytime you make a move that will ultimately win you the game or an advantage, the game 'conveniently' ends in a draw. Can't undo once the game ends in a draw to get a checkmate. Most unsatisfying chess game. Do not waste your time downloading, there are many better and more difficult chess apps out there.

Abesolutely superb chess app to kill time and always a thrilling experience when playing a new game. The computer will always keep you on your toes and immediately reprimand you for not paying attention. My only pet peeve is the endless ads that may disrupt you during a game that pulls you into another window in google play store along with a glitch that affects the game from time to time that causes it to take forever to load to play. Other than that I have no other concerns 👍🏼😁!!!

I have loved this game for years. It was on iOS and it has really nice graphics. The only issue with this app I have, is the lag during gameplay. Ive tryed everything to prioritize the game's process, and nothing has worked so far. I would really appreciate if this was fixed.

I would never play this in public because the ads can be very very weird. I might be really embarrassed if someone randomly saw one of the ads pop up. I enjoyed the fact that the easiest level is easier than most apps because sometimes it's fun to just turn your brain off and win a quick game.

a bit glitchy at times, especially when opening it to start a new game. recently has been automatically opening the app store and going to random apps whenever i try to start a new game. it was the most simple looking aesthetically, which i liked, but too buggy all of a sudden.

Excelent!, The adds are not bad. There are different levels, which helps me learn strategies. There is an undo button that lets me see where and how I made the mistake.

The app makes chess to-go and more accessible than bringing a chess board wherever you go. The only problem is, in vs CPU mode, sometimes the AI makes a double move — meaning that it moves two different pieces during their turn.

Works, but freezes frequently, often time mid game, and when you restart the app it often restarts the game. Very frustrating when you are deep in a game. Disappointed that such a simple app has issues like this. Used to play this years ago and never ran into issues.

Even tho there is an option to change the difficulty it doesnt actually change it. As a beginner this was way too hard even on the easiest setting. Plus app was slow in everyother aspect other than the computers chess moves which were done very fast. Uninstalled half hr after downloading it for an easier one

Great app.Have played for years mostly solitaire but also for two.The boards come up quickly and will remain even days later. I do wish you could get a recap of the most game's moves.As it is now all moves vanish at the end unless you mark them during play.Awkward at best. But overall a fine site and one I would(and have) recommend.

This is a decent chess game, but the A.I. is all over the place. I'm just an average player, some games the computer makes the dumbest moves imaginable, and the next game it's inbeatable. A little more consistancy in the game intellegence would be helpful.

fine app, but to all that is holy, ADSSSSSSSSSS..... PLEASE FIX THIS. Mid-game, and randomly it takes me to the app store. I'll try to back out, and it will simply close and reopen the app store in an endless loop. it continues to happen until I just force stop the app, and reopen it. this is awful, and is ruining this app.

Have to correct my review. What I thought was a bug was actually a En Passant move from the AI. Played chess for years but have never been taught that move. So on that note, 4 *. It's a great App but has locked up a few times.

An excellent app to learn tactics and very difficult to beat if its difficult level is at its highest. Congratulations. Is it possible to play with the Blacks without having to turn the tablet upside down.

The ads in this game are unbearable. It's a good game, but the ads are terrible. You'll be playing a match then suddenly, like 10 ads appear a d open Google play to a random app. Fix this, leave a reply that this is fixed, and I will re-evaluate this app.

Not bad for a free game, after you put the level at least halfway its quite hard to beat, the only downside is that it doesn't prepare you for human challenges as it definitely plays like an engine so you don't get used to orthodox opponents

Excellent game. Can adjust the difficulty level and the Undo button is very nice to have. Both of these make the game more enjoyable. Board and pieces look nice too.

This game used to be awesome. I've been playing it for over eight years now when I'm bored waiting. I'd give it a 5 star rating, but unfortunately this past year or so, almost every time I open the app, it has an ad and I can't close it and have to restart the app just to get to the game. I wish they'd remove the ads like it used to be...

About a minute into a game 15 ads open up all at the same time branching out and opening more ads until your phone is sent into a fiery consumerist purgatory of advertisements rendering the app unusable. This app is essentially adware so unless that's what you want I wouldn't recommend it.

I used this game on iOS often but I've switched to Android and the sounds are annoying (when you're setting options and when a game finishes) There seems to be no way to turn the sound off.

the game is ok but it wont let you move anywhere but the one place where they call check. also if you are close to winning the game will end in a draw it is to hard to win against the one player mode. the two player mode is good overall and it's the only reason this is 3 stars not 1 or 2

Fantastic lack of ads. Extremely simple, barebones app, but that's what makes it good. No unnecessary bells and whistles, no ads, just a chess game.

Great learning tool, I haven't played in a while so I play the computer and set the difficulty level low for now. Its easy fun chess. I've been sticking to it as well.

Great game. Very challenging. The adjustment settings are sensitive. So keep your thumbs steady 😅. I am practicing on speed. Just wish it have different board sizes and alphanumeric lettering.
