Chess Openings Explorer

Database of all 2.3M standard games played in 2012 on The Free Internet Chess Server (http://www.freechess.org/)Sorted by opening moves, white/black win/draw statistics includedRequires 700MB available space on SD card for the uncompressed games database, additionally to the app itself.
Please send your feedback, it will be appreciated

STORAGE issue. Recently I have added code to work around the KitKat sdcard write restrictions. The uncompressed database is now located at "external storage\data\Android\name.duzenko.chessopeningexplorer"The problem is some vendors, like Samsung, link external storage to internal phone memory. For Samsung devices only the app will try to use "/storage/extSdCard/Android/data/" so that precious internal memory is not used. If you have a non-Samsung device and want the database on your sd card and not in internal mmeory please contact me via email and I will try to add your vendor to the exception list.BTW Previously the database was kept in "extsdcard\Chess Opening Explorer". Old files did not get deleted automatically so you should probably do that manually to free the 700 MB of space that the database takes up.

I agree with another person who said database is small. I saw after 1. d4 there was 240k games. The largest database on the internet sports over 6 million games. The largest with amateur games sports over 13 million. I am unsure where you're looking but I don't think you're looking well. On my main tabyia position as white after about 10 moves I saw 15 games. I should see about 150-200 depending on size of database especially when it's an opening explorer.

When I got a new phone, I could not find this app for the life of me. I thought it might have been taken off the market, so I tried a few other similar ones, but none of them had the database and functions this one has. This app is truly underrated, is one of a kind, and is the best on the market.

The database of games used is too small and does not contain important GM games. The result is that the statistics are pretty but basically worthless. I checked a variety of variations where I knew the evaluation and the statistics typically indicated the opposite result is more likely. This is a deal breaker for a serious student. There are publicly available PGN databases of high quality games, for this app to be useful (or even usable) I would need to be able to choose my own database file.

Initially I was confused on operations, however the top right corner three dots has Quick return facility Then I understood that whichever opening u r looking for press that particular algebraic notation. Can some one help me with a more cleared understanding of this app on database etc on how to access.

It can simply make you a wow because such a big opening database you gets for free and it would be certainly helpful, but where is the back button, there is an undo button when you play against cuckochess. But what is the way to get back to one move before position in opening analyzer?. I dreams this apps coupled with that visual openings analyzers interface would be an ideal app. Some one has to create them and it would be a massive hit. I m sorry the back button is as simple as its th mobile back button

I've tried many of the openings apps on the play store, this one stomps them all. Nice job, Anton.

I would like to use my own .pgn-files with your great app. I'm fine with generating the .txt-file, but how about the .tree-file? Do I need your winutils? Do I have to compile them with Delphi? Or is there another way? Thanks for your help. Great app. I love browsing through the games and being able to watch them to the end. Tanks for making this a free app.

Brilliant app, five stars. I wanted to ask, what format is the database? Could we substitute it manually with one that we create ourselves? That would be even more brilliant ;)

It should highlight the pieces which have move in the list and after touching on a piece it should show its possible move from the list.
