✨ Chess Repertoire Trainer Free - Build & Learn

In chess, a winning game plan starts with the first move. The goal in the opening of a chess game is to reach a good position with which you are comfortable. It doesn't matter how creative you may be in the middle game or endgame if you lose the opening.

This app is designed to help you create a complete chess opening plan and train to execute it. It uses an advanced memorizing technique called "spaced repetition" which focus on your weaknesses.
The app is able to identify the positions for which you are having problems and helps you to correct these weaknesses by using an effective pattern of repetitions.

The concept is very simple and easy to use: you select and enter only one move for you own color (your move) and then you enter all possible moves of your opponent in response to your move.
Please note this app is not a PGN viewer, it's a training tool. Many apps already exist to explore chess openings variants, but it's not the purpose of this app.
This app will rather help you to execute your opening plan. The perfect execution of this plan will give you a serious advantage against any opponent.

I downloaded it and was amazed at how good the app was, just what i had been looking for. But then after you enter 3 openings it says that you must purchase the pro version which is 8€. The free version is virtually useless unless you want to try it out as like a demo or something. The app's sole use is to store and train openings which you cant do after entering three openings.

It's a great tool for the just starting novice or, a advanced tournament player! Easy to use to keep up on new moves or newest moves in your favorite pet line's. This app lets you record and study your favorite openings and variations, Which makes this app a great for brushing up on opening theory just before you crush thier ego's! More games are won or lost in the opening then any other part of the game! This app is a must have for any type of aspiring chess player.

Sorry, it does not offer much to organize your chess material. In the repertoire management there are only two main folders, Black or White, and only a 2-ranks hierarchy, which is far from enough. This app has a potential for development.

A "spaced repetition" in action! Those who have interest in the concept, may wish to check SuperMemo theory. Surely, the free version just gives a sense of it, but those who love the idea can go for the full one.

Awesome. 10 seconds with it and I paid for pro. I had some comments and questions, developer answered very quickly. I cannot recommend this app highly enough to serious chess players. The recent updates are nice, what does the "depth" option do? Also, it would be good if you could view the comments in training mode, I seem only to be able to do so in "edit openings" mode.

Great App. However, one thing missing is a current notation line (moves so far) in the Edit opening screen. Without, it is easy to make mistakes by being in the wrong line when adding or changing moves.

Hi Beadapps. I gone through the demo version of Chess Repertoire Trainer App , have some feedback for you. Good App and good concept. However have few suggestions, which I have mailed you separately. It will be good if you can incorporate these changes.

A very good app. The only downside is you can only enter one best move for your side of the opening. It could be better if we can enter multiple moves as our best moves because some opening lines do have more than one best move.

I want to buy the pro version of this app, but one small inconvenience I have encountered is that when I'm making the lines for my repertoire I'm not able to see the notation (for example you can see the notation in Chessbase or Lichess study).I really think this app will be a very good alternative for me over Chessable so can the developers tell me if they will add this feature or not

1. Please allow us to input an alternative move that is a blunder or weaker because it's important to understand what moves to avoid. Ofcourse it's just for reference & excluded during training 2. Please allow us to assign symbols to each move like "?" & "!"

Essential. I like this one slightly better than the alternative, for ease of use and pleasant layout.

Pat. B. Feb 13, 2022

No pgn by default and no way to import new file with this version...

Too. V. Mar 22, 2019

No PGN export, so be careful before you do too much of work entertaining from your phone. This is just a demo that is too restricted to be used for anything meaningful.

Che. C. F. Apr 2, 2020

Is not working for upload file especially it is a game format pgn and with some variation.

Jov. J. T. Jan 20, 2019
