Chess Time® -Multiplayer Chess

Only downloaded few days ago and enjoying so far. Happy as been playing for few years and now on app at 5-0-1. For my first 6 games I'm happy with 5 wins and only one loss. But think something is missing. Under the 'settings' - 'account' can you please add "win rate" like 60% or 70% win rate for example. Also the stats graph on your progression, can you make it so you can click on the dots for each game and it say what grade. Think would improve game. Hope constructive criticisms helpful

Not sure what happened but app won't open now. Have reloaded the app 3 times and same results. Other than that it has worked fine up till today.

great app overall but would love ve to pay a one time fee to get rid of the ads. I only use this app to play with a friend and I ll never use all the features a monthly subscription offers. But a one time fee to get rid of the ads would fit my needs. Hope the developers are listening :)

Best chess app for remote play. Really great free app. Doesn't require permissions like other apps which are very shady Ads are not bad, not very obtrusive Online play features and functionality are really great, better than most/all others I've tried. Still receiving updates as of March 2022

Very good game the friends list is all that needs to be worked on as I only have one friend, a feature that can be implemented is a move review, for past matches to see how altered situations would play out.

The graphics are simplistic, but fairly customizable. The fact that you don't need to give your email to create account is great. Ability to easily connect with friends without social media integration also a huge plus. Would be 5 stars but there are no settings to give players less than a 24 hours to make one move. It's simply maddening. Should be configurable to any amount of time agreed upon by both participants. HUGE flaw. Fix it, and you would have the best chess app in the whole store!

This is perfect, it let's you play on Real time with players from anywhere in the world at random, you can play people you know or randomers. The chat function is really handy too. I just wish the chat screen had more options, such as have an option to show the moves you played against someone else etc. It shouldn't be too difficult to do, it would be fun to compare games etc and be able to show them to other people, for example if you wanted to show someone a brilliant game etc

Great way to connect with chess buddies who moved away and to play against new people across the world! However, the app came with horrible consequences that intensified with time—first, my microphone and speakers stopped working, but only during calls. A few days passed and my microphone was compromised entirely, for all apps; then, my audio went out entirely, for all apps. Bluetooth and auxillary connections didn't correct this. After deleting the app, all the problems went away entirely.

This is probably the best Chess app for extended play with friends. Have played several matches over months. Having time to think over your next move has made me a better player. The only suggestions I have: 1. Allow users to set custom reminders to make a move before time expires. 2. Add an alarm 1 hour before time expires. The current reminders are spaced too far apart to feel urgent. 3. Rematches for timed out games should be allowed to pickup from where it ended.

Honestly can't think of any helpful features the app hasn't already thought of. The main selling point for me is there are NO pesky Ads!!! No distracting colors or animated characters. The game is quite customizable, and they've really thought of everything. It has an in-game chat, you can search other players, flip the board, request a move be taken back, duplicate the game, etc. Very helpful way to play on my android against my inferior iOS friends. Has helped me bond with friends who live far

Does what it needs. The analyzer option is good but bare bones. You need a separate app to play games with move limits less than a day which seems like bad design but both apps work well, easily, and for free. It'd be nice if the analyzer could save 2 or 3 ideas instead of having to reset once your main strategy failed.

Great app to play chess with people from around the world! I've been playing since 2015 and I still play daily. Made a few friends along the way. 😁

Great app, given me many hours of fun during lockdown. The only suggestions would be that if someone asks you if they can take back a move and you accept, they lose 2 points.This would be good because it feels a bit rude to refuse their request and if they then go on to beat you it can be a bit frustrating.At least this way you would get something out of it. Also how about each game has a code, so if i had a great game i could tell my friend the code and he could watch the game move by move.

Needs a report option for profiles run by scammers. An option to permanently remove ads would be preferable to the subscription model.

This is the only online chess app where I can play with my mates without having a time limit, and without the game corrupting half way through. Once you customise your chess board and pieces, playing chess itself looks really good. Although the rest of the UI could be improved, game play is most important! Great app

When I downloaded this game I kept on going in the game just kept on beeping two times and then sending me out of the game so I tried re-downloading it but that just didn't do anything☹️

It's chess keep it simple. But they really need to add the option of HRS!!! TO MOVE!! Cause 1 move a day players that have brain farts. Drives me insane. Chess (time) ? Seem like Chess Day app. 1- 24hrs ADD IT!!

I've been using chess time since 2013, and i can't recommend it enough! Best chess app for playing with friends!

I've been playing this app for a while, its cool to play when you're bored. But I just hate it takes like 5-6 wins to gain 30pts pending on what level person you're playing, but you'll lose about 30pts from ONE lost from a person score that's lower than yours. All that hard work down the drain. The scoring system is what gets me.

Good app for casual chess but the huge time controls create very annoying players who "check out" and play one move every 3 hours to 2 days when you're up material. But when it's tied or they're winning they play a move every 30 seconds. Good fix would be to make the games fixed length and not each move.

My favourite chess app. Great for playing online with friends. The way to invite people is a bit shaky, but this in most other respects this is well thought out and a pleasure to use. I've only used the free version and for that I'm shown adverts along the bottom of the screen. It's a trade off I'm happy with. Many thanks to the developers, great Chess app.

I could only start one game at a time, which took long to start and then my opponent only made one move before losing on time. If I at least could have started many at once I probably could have gotten some games going without waiting around for multiple days before I could play. Will look for other options.

Notifications don't work. Opponents make their move and I never get the notification. By the time I remember I had a game open, it forfeits and counts as a loss. Sometimes it says waiting for the opponent, then right after that it says they made their move hours ago.

I enjoy multiplayer chess, but I meet so many opponents who take forever to make a move or just abandon the match without telling me. I thought I could prevent that by setting a timer in the settings, but the minimum time per move is 24 hours. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Why not have an option for 5 minutes per move?

I am pretty sure that the user base has been overrun by people exploiting random matchmaking somehow. 75% of my matches(with people above 1.4k rating) are canceled before the opponent makes a move. The lower ranked players don't cancel matches, but only being able to play low ranked players makes it hard to gain ranking due to the ranking algorithms and diminishing returns.

(edited) gave 5 star initially. Now im giving 3. Not because its gotten worse, but because as time goes i see where the app can improve. 1. Maybe a side note everytime u make a move so u remember what's ur next move (since it can become hours or days until ur opponent moves) you might forget what ur plan was, that could be helpful! Also in the chat with opponent.. Please make it possible so we could send pictures to one another. Sending chess memes could be fun, Or sending Screenshot of the game

What would be so difficult about adding a quick play option with a 5 or 10 minute limit per move? Now, if an opponent is a slow player, I have to re-familiarize myself with the board after every move and a single game can take weeks. Painful.

The ad banner is so annoying, when a new ad loads, the entire screen shifts up and down. It's so distracting it ruins the game. I can't focus. Why do I have to pay a subscription fee every month just for an app? So fed up with EVERYTHING going to a subscription model.
